    Advantages Advantages Performance, plenty of USB ports, LAN

    Here's a PC that has served me well. It was bought for £1000 on a finance offer where I work a few years ago and has been a good all round machine for me. It's been used for everything from word processing to gaming and never had anything to complain about. I'm not a hardcore gaming but it never struggled to run the GTA games and the graphics were good. No juddering or anything. Just smooth gameplay. It might struggle with some of the newer games out on the market now but I imagine it will still stand up to most. The hard drive is also plenty big enough for the majority of users.     Advantages Advantages Looks Good, Feels Good, and Damn Fast.

    I wanted to buy a brand new system, so i decided to go for a top of the range one, which would hopefully last me a few years. so i opted for the PAckard Bell 5126 ITouch computer. The first thing you notice, after you have put the leads in, turned on the computer and got into windows is the quietness of it, i mean, for the speed you get, a 2.8mhz processer, i was expecting a noiser Computer, but suprisingly it is very, very quiet.     Disadvantages Disadvantages takes up desk space

    I bought one three weeks ago from PC World without a monitor in the Clearance - as Packard Bell have brought out a new range - for £796. It was a shame the store did not know the right spec or they may have sold it sooner (eg thought it had a 80GB hard drive, not the 120GB it does have). Was buying as a replacement base unit for a 5 year old Time machine, and what a difference. You can't hear it when it is working, it is responsive and does not keep seizing up.
