    Advantages Advantages brilliant read

Disadvantages Disadvantages you`ll be up all night reading it

"Chyna Shepherd untouched and alive" This is the prayer repeatedly chanted by a brave young woman throughout most of her life. Chyna Shepherd was brought up by her alcoholic and drug addicted mother, along with the society dropouts that her mum often befriended. She had a very traumatic childhood, full of torture from both her mother and her psychotic boyfriends. After leaving her mother and going off to university, she becomes best friends with Laura Templeton, and she is the only person that Chyna has ever trusted enough to reveal some of her childhood to. Laura takes her to Napa Valley ... more

    Advantages Advantages Everything

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Not a one...

The title is pretty much self-explanatory. This book defies all logic and reasoning! In this day and age of slasher movies and extremely pitiful thrillers, Intensity is a psychological thriller that definitely delivers! I still shudder (with both, terror and delight) at the very thought of this book! Intelligent plot and characters, intriguing choice of settings, mysterious, chilling (I sat up till dawn clutching my stuffed bear!) . . . there is nothing bad anyone can say about this book. You MUST get the Audiotape also. I've watched the little made-for TV movie (the fact that I even turned ... more

Advantages Advantages Couldn't put this book down

Disadvantages Disadvantages Beware if you are squeamish

I have just finished reading this book and quite honestly, I think it is one of the best books I have ever read. I have read a few of Dean Koontz's novels before, and most of them I really enjoyed. Some have been a bit too scary for me, and I had to leave the light on all night. But it still didn't stop me reading them! Intensity, though, surpassed the lot, and I just couldn't put it down. The action takes place over a twenty-four hour period and certainly is very intense! Chyna Shepherd, a college student, has had a very disturbed and violent upbringing. Her mother was an alcoholic, and mixed ... more

    Advantages Advantages gripping read

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

This is a very good book I would definitely recommend to anybody who likes the crime thriller genre. This book gets going straight from the start and gets more and more addictive as you go on. There are only a few characters so it is easily followed but very absorbing. Great book. It follows a tale of Chyna sheperd up who by going to stay with a friend and her family is caught caught up in a blood bath but remains unknown to the killer. Blieving her friend is still alive when she is taken from the house to the murders motorhome, she smuggle herself onboard. The murder is Edglar Vess, who ... more
