...am experiencing what love actually is and the feelings I had before were not the same.
Don't get me wrong I have had a few flings and short relationships but only two that really count my very first relationship with Ian and now the one I am in. So here I go with both the Pro's and Con's that I have experienced to being single.

Your Money is your own, what you earn you can spend you do without having to explain to anyone ... ...you already have.
There is no moaning, when you are in a relationship the tiniest thing can bug you with your partner, when you are single you don't get this and you can slob around watching chick flicks safe in the knowledge that you will be watching it in peace.

Advantages: I now have a life Disadvantages: Few and mainly Irrelevant
...which I have to say is a great confidence booster and something I told myself constantly for the first week afterwards. I have to say I know it sound's cheesy but it has definitely worked now I know I can do better a lot lot better.)
Now as I am 31 at first the prospect of single seemed quite daunting, you know what it's like when you've been in a relationship for a long time. On the odd occasion you do go out with the girls, you usually end up ... ...I thought I would do is go through all of the pro's and con's I can think of about being single. I will mention the con's first as I don't wish to depress myself for too long.
Con's of Being Single
1. When you live alone you have to pay more for your share of the council tax.
2. Some of your friends look at you very sympathetically despite the fact you're in a fantastic mood.

Advantages: Time with the girls, can wear & look how you want! Disadvantages: No one to hug, cuddle and kiss!
...wear matching underwear as nobody is going to see it! And can wear those big comfy pants every girl secretly loves to wear.
Don't have to worry about waking up with out make-up as no one is going to see you until you have re-applied.
Can go out with the girls and flirt with as many men as possible and not feel guilty.
Leave clothes and stuff everywhere as no one is coming in your room.
Watch all the girly films you want without having to compromise.
... ...bits and if your make-up is done and have you shaved.
Sharing a duvet and bed with someone else.
Going out with other couples! Having to check with someone before you make plans.
Pros of being part of a double act:
Someone to bring to parties, weddings and reunions.

Advantages: You can fart in bed Disadvantages: He farts in bed instead!
...natural position (for me this is usually star shape, face down in the centre of the bed). You can read papers and magazine until whenever you want and generally faff about. You can sleep in your fleecy pyjamas without worrying how sexless you look, or go naked in the summer heat without the expectation that men usually have (naked skin means sex - not all the time matey!!)

...the exact opposite and there is no one and only solution to this question. It depends on what kind of people we are and what do we expect from life. I believe people were "made" to live in a society, where a family is the smallest and primary social group. Living in a pair also seems natural for the human kind somehow, even if some cultures tend to practice polygamy or living in communities ignoring which family you belong to. + you can do what you want when you want without a "permission"
+ you don't need to worry yourself with the trouble of somebody else

Advantages: Independence. Disadvantages: Lack of incentive.
The question here is "is it better being single", which is a pretty wide subject. I know many people online that are alone and suffer from loneliness although I believe that loneliness is not just a question of being alone. You can actually be married, have children, friends and still feel very alone because human beings are like islands. If you think of all the strange thoughts and quirks that go through your mind, do the people around you really ... ...the question really is whether being married as opposed to single changes anything.

...now and my personal view is it sucks! Although saying that even when i was with someone i found that sucked too.
Firstly i'm gonna try and answer the question and then i'll weigh up the pro's and cons.
IS IT BETTER BEING SINGLE?
To me this all depends on the type of person you are. For example if you are a young person and have plans for a career then being single may be the best option. Why be tied down and maybe held back when your trying to ... ...just my personal opinion. (guestbook is open to anyone interested lol)

...comitments at the moment it is a perfect set up. but im not everybody. others will be different.
DIS-ADVANTAGES
Loving someone, being close to someone and holidays are the top of my list. Its great to hold a woman in your arms and stare deep into her eyes. That warm feeling you get just from a hug makes being in a relationship very special.
Sharing things, yeah i miss buying luxeries and treats or just the normal things like a trip to the local ... ...The other thing I miss is of course sex. Men and women have urges, we sometimes need sex more one day than another and not having any one there to have sex with can be a depressing time.
Also when your sick who will feel sorry for you and nurse you back to health.
If your depressed who will comfort you.
I like helping when your ill or depressed.
So its a bit more strain on the bank ballance in some ways at least but its worth every penny.

This is an interesting topic to review I think. Obviously there is nobody who can say it definitely is or isn't better being single as everyone is different. I have been in a couple of relationships I didn't want to be in anymore and when I got out of them I did have more fun, BUT as I said I didn't want to be in them so that is why the situation was better.
Personally I prefer to be with someone. I am currently with a partner I have been with nearly ... ...One thing I will say is that having a partner does not mean you won't be lonely - not in my case, but through other's experiences I know that being with a partner too much can make you more lonely than anything, which is why it is important to have other people to turn to.
Only a short one - but I'm sure you get my opinion across from it. I would rather not be single - been there, done that , prefer not. ...

Is being single better or worse than being in a relationship.
Here are reasons why being single is better and why being single is worse Why being single is better When your single you can do what you like without having to explain youself
You can go out when you like You can see and speak to however you want when you want You can dress how you want You dont have to tell anyone what you are doing or where you are going There are no arguements over ... ...You feel left out when your matesor others go out on dates You dont get suprizes You dont feel loved You dont have celebrations like anerversiteries (cant spell) You feel left out Thats all i could think of for both.So in conclusion I think that being single has both good and bad points.It depend on who you are and if you like being single or not.
