    Advantages Advantages Online Banking, Also good first account for young people

    Disadvantages Disadvantages sometimes can be hard to get through on their phoneline

    Having never done a review on a bank before, bear with me. Isle of Man Bank Limited is part of NatWest Offshore Limited, which is a subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Scotland (not to be confused with the Bank of Scotland btw) It was established in 1865 and has 11 branches situated throughout the island. Its network of branches and ATMs (cash machines) is the most comprehensive on the island. Service The staff currently employed at the Isle of Man Bank, numbering approximately 350, I have found to be polite and friendly. They tend to respond to queries and complaints quickly.     Advantages Advantages A discounted mortgage rate for two years

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Impossibility of talking to anybody

    I have never had such a bad customer service experience before taking out an Isle of Man Bank Mortgage. I organised it through a Financial Advisor and from the first contact with the Bank I realised that things were going to be difficult! On the day of the exchange of contracts they suddenly "remembered" paperwork that needed to be signed and I had to make three separate trips to the Bank. They "forgot" to apply my discount to the mortgage and kept charging me overdraft fees as they had given me the wrong date to pay the money in to the account!
