...of the Japanese fashion/fragrance house Issey Miyake.
I was introduced to this fragrance by a friend of the family. Now don't get me wrong, I don't go around smelling people, this smell simply wafted my way whilst out one night. I was immediately hooked.
As soon as humanly possible I purchased a 75ml bottle of the EDT from Boots for £28.50. L'eau D'Issey is widely available from Boots, Debenhams,. Rackhams, Bodycare and many online stores. Metallic in its finish the box and actual shaping to the bottle are unique. The bottle, made out of thick frosted glass rather than being round is flat, about 3.5cm thick at the bottom. The bottle then tapers to about 1cm thick at the top. It contains a lot of glass and is ...

...Well here you are - Issey will always get a woman asking what gorgeous fragrance your wearing mainly because it smells so unlike any other. A great starting point to get that conversation on the way. ~ HOW GOOD IS THE STAYING POWER?
So how about its staying power I hear you asking then? Excellent infact, after my other half giving this a go (he loved it!) and applying some before we went out in the evening he still managed to smell gorgeous when ... ...The originality and design of Issey is also another point leading in its favour. Packaged in a simple rectangle box with colours mixed pale blue, white and silver striped is subtle but good looking and the actual design of the bottle is simple but effective. The flat, frosted glass bottle with its big silver cap and spray nozzle will look good in any mans bathroom cabinet and also gets the thumbs up for ease of use! Ranging from two different bottle ...

Advantages: Longlasting, distinctive Disadvantages: Not for everyone
I first discovered Issey Miyake’s L’Eau D’Issey pour Homme in late 1999, although the fragrance has been on the market for ten years now, having been released in 1992. As well as the Men’s Eau de Toilette there is of course L’Eau d’Issey for women, which is similarly packaged although the bottle is a conical shape, rather than the “wedge of cheese” shape.
In 2000 L’Eau D’Issey pour Homme Été was introduced – a lighter summer version of the classic ... ...an eye out for the Issey Miyake Travel pack, which is available only in flight (I have seen it on KLM and British Airways Flights). The set, which costs €35 (that’s about £22 in proper money) contains a 75ml EdT spray and a 50ml deodorant spray in plastic bottles with the deodorant (the blue bottle) slotting into the EdT bottle (the white transparent bottle). Being in plastic they can obviously survive the knocks of being in your luggage, and they ...

...favourite aftershave of mine is Issey Miyake (come to think of it, I actually have lots of favourites!).
Issey Miyake
Issey Miyake released this fragrance in 1994 and it is intended to be fresh, modern and sophisticated.
Packaging The box to the aftershave is light blue and silver and looks quite sophisticated. Issey Miyake is written across the front of the box and L'Eau D'Issey Pour Homme is written underneath that. On the bottom of the box ... ...research, I have found that Issey Miyake is sold in bottle of 50ml, 75ml and 125ml. I can't seem to find a bottle of 30ml so I assume the smallest you can get is 50ml.
Smell The ingredients of this aftershave include a blend spicy carnation, peony and white lily. Apparently this aftershave is meant to be floral and fruity with a blend of fresh and spicy notes. To be honest, I know this doesn't sound very masculine but I can assure you that it is, ...

...de toilette on my wrist!! Issey Miyake's fragrances have been part of my household for years; both my Mom and Sister have bought his perfumes and I've always remarked on how light, fresh and fruity they smell. A perfume or aftershave is designed to draw you into its smell, and from the first time I caught a whiff of this I couldn't stop smelling it all day!!
It all happened on an innocent shopping trip to Birmingham. I was coming down the escalators ... ...He told me it was Issey Miyake and that the price was £22.50, for a 125ml bottle (4 fluid ounces). All day long the fragrance remained, but not in a heavy, overbearing way like many of the classic men's aftershaves such as Aramis or Obsession. The friend I was with at the time obviously took a mental note of my delight and duly purchased a bottle for my birthday a couple of weeks ago. The description on the bottom of the bottle is "refreshing, invigorating ...

...first time I came across Issey Miyake. It was 1999 and I was in my first year at college. My friends and I had just started hitting the clubbing scene, therefore fragrances were important. At that time the ‘popular’ types were CK1 (although I never liked this and thought it was a bit too chavy), Tommy Hilfiger, Joop, Burberry (definitely too chavy) and the original Hugo Boss. Trying to find something different was a bit of a mission.
A friend of ... ...picked up a bottle of Issey Miyake on the way through.
A couple of weeks later we all went clubbing and as he asked everyone’s opinion on the Issey he decided not to wear it for fear of being feminine.
I immediately loved the scent, sprayed it on and we went out. The Issey attracted so much female attention it was amazing. It was like pheromones in a bottle. That was it, the harsh ‘alpha male’ fragrances were now to be replaced by the more subtle ...

...I first chose Issey Miyake as I was wearing another fragrance, but that has connotations of an ex girlfriend who had bought it for me. It is amazing the way we 'anchor' memories and feelings to smells, so I needed to find another one. I tried a few, but was immediately smitten by Issey Miyake after smelling the tester card.
