**What Is It?** The JBL mulitmedia speaker system "woofers" are a speaker set. It comes with the big sub-woofer and 2 smaller satelite speakers. **What is It Compatible With?** It says in the title PC multimedia, but i just plugged it onto my Mac G5 and it worked fantastically! That is a bit misleading as it can work with basically any mulitimedia appliance. It works with all Macs and PC's but it also even works with Laptops, porartable DVD players, ...

I have the white pair, and i'll start from where i started at choosing these, they look great don't they? the alloyish trim over the speaker and curvy body really is attractive. The volume is controled by a touch sensitive receptor on the right speaker, which doesn't ever stop working. My girlfriend bought these for her iPod Nano as something to have in the bedroom rather than paying full whack for a full mini hi-fi system. Since neither of us know massive amounts about the technology involved in audio equipment, I think that she just went for the "ones that looked coolest" And they do to be fair. I'm quite knowledgable about speakers systems, so i bought these after doing a lot of research to make sure i was getting a good product. They are simple to get working and i was initially very happy with the quality of sound they produced. After about 2 hours of playing with my new gadget i found that the sub resonated quite audiably at 50Hz.
