    Normally when any advert comes on television purporting the name JML my brain automatically switches off and reminds me that on the whole they flog overpriced *cheap tat*. However when the advert for the JML Bobble Off kept appearing on television I found myself more and more interested in buying one as I had been looking for something like this for a couple of years now.     Make your clothes look new again. I bought a really nice jumper from Gap last year but was disappointed that after a few wears it started to bobble. To me, whenever a garment bobbles I think it starts to look old and worn but I had spent quite a bit of money on this jumper and wanted to keep it looking new. I remember from the old days watching tv infomercials about the Remmington Fuzz Away and thought I could definitely use something like that now.     Ok so I've seen the adverts and seen this in our local Robert Dyas but until now written it off as another one of those things that claims to work miracles and actually does nothing like that! My other half and I were in town today on the look out for a dehumidifier for our bathroom as it's too cold to have the window open right now. I passed the JML stand and there staring at me was the Bobble Off. I suddenly thought of my lovely jumper that I wanted to wear the other day and didn't because it had those awful bubbly bits of fabric in certain areas. I hate when clothes end up like that ... more

    I bought one of these a few months ago when I found it in a sale for £3. I never really considered buying one before but though it may come in handy. JML Bobble Off is designed to remove the 'bobbling' that occurs on clothes; there are quite a few of these types of items, although JML's seems to be the one that is most widely available. Bobble Off is a white and purple plastic device that looks a little like a small iron. It has a rotating blade that is covered with a thin but flexible metal gauze.     Must-have products? JML is one of those companies that always advertises strange and random looking gadgets on late night TV and shopping channels. You know those videos you sometimes see in home improvement stores advertising miracle vegetable slicers and sets of 50 tupperware boxes? That's JML.     JML Bobble Off Now I always remember my Mum having one of these clothes de-bobbling devices and often though how great they were. I have been looking for one for quite a while now because I have this rather lovely jumper that has got a bad case of bobbleitis! Luckily, as I was clearing the shelves of anything remotely good in my local Woolworth's (RIP) I came across a JML bobble off with a good discount of 40% off.     Maybe it is the slightly cheesey Americanised adverts that they use but I have always had my doubts about the claims made for many of the products from JML, they have that back pages of the paper look to them, making claims they cannot live up to however this particular product was recommended by two friends and so I bnorrowed it from one of them and after seeing that it worked on a jumper of my other half I went out and bought my own for the princely sum of £6.99.     Buy this. Now. Seriously, this is a great little tool at a fab price, which can make your clothes look and feel like new. There is no reason not to get it! The only bad points I can think of are really ones that can be expected, such as it can take some time to fully de-bobble larger itms of clothes. A pair of heavily bobbled track-suit bottoms took me about 5-10 minutes, but the end result was well worth it. Besides, there is something quite therapeutic about de-bobbling... just watching a messy piece of material turn new again... is it weird that it should be so fun? Struggling to think of ... more

    I have always thrown out jumpers and cardigans when they start looking at bit rough due to 'bobbles' appearing, I always tried to get them off myself but it just took so long, I gave up and I have always just replaced them, until I discovered this JML bobble off. I think this is an amazing invention, I didn't think it would work until I tried it. I thought it would ruin my clothes, I did not think it could get the 'bobbles' off without ruining the fabric.     We have had our JML DeBobbler now for years and we bought it direct from JML for about five pounds and I don't think they have actualy gone up much in price since we bought ours. It is fantastic to use and I think it is actually a bit therapeutic and my other half agrees with me (for once). It is a simple little hand held device which is run off two AA batteries (not included) and the idea is simple. You can restore bobbly garments to look like new again.
