Unrealiable, not very professional and just out for your money!

AdvantagesI honestly can't think of any!

DisadvantagesEverything! Cancels lessons, out for your cash and takes you easy roads!

"...for my money! When I left JNR I moved to RED driving school which I must say were brilliant. I felt that I was a confident in driving however this was mainly because I had generally driven on main roads which to be honest are dead easy. When my RED instructor took me down the roads of my test route I discovered that I had not actually been down the majority of them and although I was confident on main roads the small side roads that driving tests ..." Taxi Service

AdvantagesOne lesson was brilliant...it just cost a lot.

DisadvantagesEverything else.

"...reading reviews on 'Ciao' of JNR school of motoring i decided that John only seemed to be a bad choice because you couldn't get hold of him...Therefore i thought that aslong as i could keep pressuring him to give me the hours it would be ok, or that i might have a different experience. In short, i took a risk and it did not pay off. At first John seemed nice and friendly, he offered me a discount on account of the fact business was going well, so ..." Read review

Not a good instructor and simply a man you can't trust

AdvantagesA few £ cheaper than the competition

DisadvantagesYou won't get your lessons and you'll just waste your time

"I was really excited about getting driving lessons after I just turned 19, but three months on I've only had 9 hours of the 30 we agreed to. I tried calling him, but he keeps giving me excuses about his health or stuff about his family. I never remember this happening in the beginning. John seemed like an alright bloke when I met him first and reckoned he'd be legit as he was trying to run a business and told me he was with the DSA. So I was cool ..." Read review

High risk and NO reward. Play it safe and avoid the stress

AdvantagesNone; a very bad experience. Most positive feedback JNR receives seems to be from the same person!

DisadvantagesVery unreliable, unprofessional, dishonest, uninterested once you pay and deceptive

"Having been with JNR since April 2009, booking a block of 30 hours seeing that I had to do the test over the summer, allowing ample time for preparation and I was assured of this after making payment in full when I had already done the first lesson. From there things went downhill, with lessons being cancelled in the last minute messing up any plans for the day. Switching phone off or not responding to phone calls or texts. Waiting two weeks for ..." Read review

Quick review of JNR School of Motoring, London

"I had an assessment lesson with John after which he said that a 30 hour intensive course would be the best option. I enjoyed every lesson that I had with him. Subsequently I did 29 hours and passed with only 3 minors. To illustrate how good John is the same day I passed I drove over 150 miles on motorways, dual carriage ways and country roads with complete confidence. This man definitely knows what he is doing.

Quick review of JNR School of Motoring, London

"I have found John from JNRschool of motoring an ex BSM instructor highly capable with both instruction and patients. I was advised to try him from a mate who have found him really good. I was reluctant as first as he asked for the money up front. But he did fulfil his end of the bargin. I had lessons on time each week for a period of around 9months, and I PASSED first time having never driven before! .

good teacher but uncontactable

AdvantagesGood if you can get hold of him

DisadvantagesBad that you cannot get hold of him

"John was a good teacher and seemed fair and honest but seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth. I would like to be able to recommend him but at the moment am left in a position where I have paid him for lessons and he has disappeared and NEVER replies to messages left on the mobile no that he lists. As the text is too short I will reiterate that he is uncontactable on the number that he lists. He owes me lessons or my money back. We ..." Read review

Quick review of JNR School of Motoring, London

"John is the best driving instructor out there - end of story. I had a refresher course with him in 2005 and he is simply amazing and I always recommend friends to him. He is very patient, very honest and one of only a few driving instructors ever to have a pupil pass with ZERO faults!! He used to be a BSM instructor before setting up on his own. I cannot recommend him highly enough. If you are in the area then do yourself a favour and book with JNR School of Motoring.

AMAZING

AdvantagesThe Teaching, Flexibility

DisadvantagesCost

"Possibly the most satisfying, fulfilling, enjoyable and productive learning experience I have ever had in my entire. No but seriously this school is by far the best, better than AA and BSM combined, because when you use BSM or AA you simply pay for the name of the company where as a school like Johnny’s you pay for the experience and professionalism that you know he posses. Definitely the best choice if you’re just starting to drive or are currently ..." Read review

Jnr school of motoring (excellent)

AdvantagesVery good teacher

Disadvantagesnone

"My experience with jnr was spot on. The pace in which i learnt to drive was very good and sufficent for what was needed. Not only was it very quick for me to learn how to drive but also became very confident when driving and taking lesson, which helped alot when the actual test day arrived. The way i was taught was exactly what would be needed for any new driver trying to pass. Not only for the practical test, but also the thoery test. Which i recieved ..." Read review

OK when teaching, but unreliable.

AdvantagesNothing impressive

DisadvantagesUnreliable and hard to get a hold of

"Decided to go with John after reading reviews on this website and to start with he did not disappoint. Then it all went downhill. He started to change the prices on me and at one point it went up to £25! We managed to resolve this, but the simple fact he kept changing it made me loose faith in him. He also has a horrible habit of switching his phone off and not returning messages or calls, which can be in incredibly annoying. There have been ..." Read review

"I would recommend john by far, as he is one of the best driving teachers I have known. He always gave the best advice and encourages me to do better. All i paid was 18 pound an hour, which was really cheap when i was learning to drive. Thanks to john i passed first time and succeeded all the the way.

ideal driving instructor

Advantagesstraight forward, doesn't hold back on what he is thinking, gives in depth explanations

Disadvantagesthe only thing is that once he forgot i had a lesson, other than that no complaints

"I first started learning how to drive with a driving school called 'bumper cars' i took the practical test twice and failed both times. I then looked for a new driving school and found 'jnr.', since then I've learnt so much more and my driving has changed in so much better ways. the lesson prices were very good and he also offered me good bundle deals to fit my price range of spending. every mistake I made whilst driving he addressed it and consistently ..." JNR review

AdvantagesGreat guy, makes you feel very comfortable in the car

DisadvantagesNone!

"My brother and all his friends had John as their driving instructor and they all passed first time. My brother passed with only 3 minors. Now it is my turn to have John as my instructor. In the car, John is very calm and fils you with confidence. I had never driven a car before my first lesson and right from the start I felt completely at ease behind the wheel. With John as my instructor, I know I am in good hands. I block booked 20 hours of lessons ..." Read review
