Advantages I honestly can't think of any!
Disadvantages Everything! Cancels lessons, out for your cash and takes you easy roads!
I started lessons with John in July and in December when I left his "motoring school" I had only done 20 hours. I only joined John's driving school as he was alot cheaper than RED who cost roughly about £5 more an hour. Looking back on it I wish that I paid the extra as they were realiable, professional and very helpful. At the start I had made it clear that I wanted to pass as soon as possible and that Christmas time was the latest I still wanted to be learning. In my first lesson John was very nice and seemed like a good instructor and at the end of the lesson I handed over the 300 and ...

Advantages One lesson was brilliant...it just cost a lot.
Disadvantages Everything else.
Despite reading reviews on 'Ciao' of JNR school of motoring i decided that John only seemed to be a bad choice because you couldn't get hold of him...Therefore i thought that aslong as i could keep pressuring him to give me the hours it would be ok, or that i might have a different experience. In short, i took a risk and it did not pay off. At first John seemed nice and friendly, he offered me a discount on account of the fact business was going well, so i thought: wow thats uncommon and in my naivety accepted, a short while on in the conversation though he said that business was slow so he ...

Advantages A few £ cheaper than the competition
Disadvantages You won't get your lessons and you'll just waste your time
I was really excited about getting driving lessons after I just turned 19, but three months on I've only had 9 hours of the 30 we agreed to. I tried calling him, but he keeps giving me excuses about his health or stuff about his family. I never remember this happening in the beginning. John seemed like an alright bloke when I met him first and reckoned he'd be legit as he was trying to run a business and told me he was with the DSA. So I was cool with it and handed over all the dosh for 30 hours. I was pretty chuffed that he was so flexible with his time (apart from school hours) and that he ...

Advantages None; a very bad experience. Most positive feedback JNR receives seems to be from the same person!
Disadvantages Very unreliable, unprofessional, dishonest, uninterested once you pay and deceptive
Having been with JNR since April 2009, booking a block of 30 hours seeing that I had to do the test over the summer, allowing ample time for preparation and I was assured of this after making payment in full when I had already done the first lesson. From there things went downhill, with lessons being cancelled in the last minute messing up any plans for the day. Switching phone off or not responding to phone calls or texts. Waiting two weeks for a lesson and suddenly using random excuses to delay it for further weeks. All in all, this man has wasted my time and money (lost money on test day ...

I had an assessment lesson with John after which he said that a 30 hour intensive course would be the best option. I enjoyed every lesson that I had with him. Subsequently I did 29 hours and passed with only 3 minors. To illustrate how good John is the same day I passed I drove over 150 miles on motorways, dual carriage ways and country roads with complete confidence. This man definitely knows what he is doing.

I have found John from JNRschool of motoring an ex BSM instructor highly capable with both instruction and patients. I was advised to try him from a mate who have found him really good. I was reluctant as first as he asked for the money up front. But he did fulfil his end of the bargin. I had lessons on time each week for a period of around 9months, and I PASSED first time having never driven before! .

Advantages Good if you can get hold of him
Disadvantages Bad that you cannot get hold of him
John was a good teacher and seemed fair and honest but seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth. I would like to be able to recommend him but at the moment am left in a position where I have paid him for lessons and he has disappeared and NEVER replies to messages left on the mobile no that he lists. As the text is too short I will reiterate that he is uncontactable on the number that he lists. He owes me lessons or my money back. We have had no dispute. xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx ...

John is the best driving instructor out there - end of story. I had a refresher course with him in 2005 and he is simply amazing and I always recommend friends to him. He is very patient, very honest and one of only a few driving instructors ever to have a pupil pass with ZERO faults!! He used to be a BSM instructor before setting up on his own. I cannot recommend him highly enough. If you are in the area then do yourself a favour and book with JNR School of Motoring.

Advantages The Teaching, Flexibility
Possibly the most satisfying, fulfilling, enjoyable and productive learning experience I have ever had in my entire. No but seriously this school is by far the best, better than AA and BSM combined, because when you use BSM or AA you simply pay for the name of the company where as a school like Johnny’s you pay for the experience and professionalism that you know he posses. Definitely the best choice if you’re just starting to drive or are currently learning with another school and haven’t managed to pass, I would definitely recommend it over any other school of motoring. John is a great bloke ...

Advantages Very good teacher
My experience with jnr was spot on. The pace in which i learnt to drive was very good and sufficent for what was needed. Not only was it very quick for me to learn how to drive but also became very confident when driving and taking lesson, which helped alot when the actual test day arrived. The way i was taught was exactly what would be needed for any new driver trying to pass. Not only for the practical test, but also the thoery test. Which i recieved alot of advise on, which made it alot easier for myself when taking the exam. I really had a great experience with Jnr driving school and I ...
