    Advantages Advantages Lots to choose from-can use same account throughout all the sites

    If your not familiar with the name JD Williams, it may be because they go under lots of different names which appear as separate companies, but they are all actually branched from the JD Williams group, hence with one account you can purchase from any one of their sites- Here are all the sites which I am aware of; + VivalaDiva.com + They claim that its a womans right to shoes, and I for one agree! This site is full of shoes- any style you could ever want. I wouldn't say any are what you can class as cheap- unless you happen to drop by a bargain in the sale! J.D Willams is a catalogue company that trades under many guises and provides telephone ordering for other companies as well. Guises.     JD Williams is a mail order and Internet company that operates under several different brands targeting slightly different demographics: Simply Be, Via La Diva, Shoe Tailor, JD Williams itself and probably about twenty more others. I have no idea why it's in the "offline" shopping category here on dooyoo as its Mail Order and Internet parts are completely integrated and I can't see why anybody would NOT use the the online ordering.     Advantages Advantages only for cash buyers who can see the small print

    JD Willims trades as many brands such as Simplybe, fashionworld, premierman and fiftyplus. There are many more but to many to mention. Due to the number of brands there is a lot of product range, mainly clothing but electricals and other house hold goods are sold. Delivery times can be as little as 1 day or 3 weeks. There seems to be no medium on this, almost pot luck. Regarding value for money , the item prices on the website or in the catalogue seem cheap esp. for clothing but and its a big but, only if you are paying in full at the point of ordering.     The mail order company, JD Williams comes under many guises, one of which is Fifty Plus. This catalogue is aimed at women who are over fifty but don’t want to dress like a granny. In theory that is great, and upon browsing through the catalogue, one can become quite excited as not only do most of the clothes look great, some can even be categorised as trendy, they are also available in large sizes, in some cases up to size 38.     I work at jd williams on the telemarketing department. This is the department (employing around 250 people on it) that phones customers up, grasping for sales. once you've given us your number, we have a legal right to call you up for any reason. we phone you up if an item you ordered was out of stock, or if you've returned an item, or if an item has been delayed for more than a month (this happens a lot), or if you have had MULTIPLE items delayed or if you haven't ordered in over 6 months. on every one of these 'campains' we will offer you a discount, and aim for a sale there and then. as ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Captive audience re sizes so maybe dont need to address customer service issues?

    I have been a customer for many years, Simply Be and Fashion World however there are two major problems that really make me cross and so I have cut back drastically on my shopping with JD Wiliams Group. This company does have a huge range or ladies clothing, footwear and mens clothing with some homeware and specialist sites and are well known for the large size ranges they offer, especially to women. The quilty is high street average, with a few specialist ranges and branded sports wear. You can pay in full or have an account but you are charged a montly "service charge" not an interest ... more

    I have been with jd williams for nearly a year now and at first it was great no problems, quick delivery good credit level and easy payments. The catalogue is great for ordering clothes out of as they normally get delivered in a week or two weeks at the most. However, if you are wanting dvd's playstations or games do not order from them. I ordered bad boys 2 on dvd when it first came out and after two months of phone calls i still hadn't received it. All i was told was that it had been lost in the post and i could re-order and wait up to another 28 days. Needlesss to say i cancelled the order ... more

    J.D.Williams were always advertising with something or other in the Sunday Magazines and nothing really appealed to me in the Ladies Fashion Pages. However one Sunday they were advertising an MDF shelving unit. I rang them up to order which was easy, home approval before you buy etc and the item arrived within 4 days of ordering. We needed a shelving unit for my daughter's Play room and didn't want to pay much as she would only draw on it or something. I paid £19.99 for the unit and delivery was free.     I have been a customer for just a few months. My experience has been a good one, with fast, delivery, correct sizes, and good quality clothes, that fit. Having been a shopper in larger ladies clothes shops all my life, i get annoyed at being ripped off for what im paying, especially when you see the same or similar product available in the thinnner shops, at half the price. Looked at JD Williams, following a recommendation of a customer of 7 years (who is more than happy with the service and quality).
