Am I just crackers about them

Advantages: They are the fabbest snacking biccie
Disadvantages: I can't think of any

I'm sure I am. Since I was about 7 years old, whenever I got extra money, I would run round to the shop and buy a packet of Jacobs Cream Crackers. I would then go home, go straight to my bedroom and greedily eat them all. As times changed, I grew older and wiser, things never changed, well maybe a few things. Now I send my husband straight to the shop to buy a pack and then I sit and eat them all! So why do I love these biscuits/crackers, and plain ...
...the crackers, although there isn't much of a taste on them, I feel that adding something makes the tastes mingle and then I don't like it. Weird, I know! I would admit that the crackers really have no taste whatsover - there is A taste but like bread - you can't really describe what bread tastes like but a lot of people like it. The wacky world of Cream Crackers. Cream Crackers are used in World Record attempts. Because they are a dry biscuit, ...

JACOBS CREAM CRACKERS

Advantages: lovely with cheese
Disadvantages: makes you eat too much cheese!

I am very partial to a bit of cheese and the nicest way to eat it apart from on its own, is with some Jacobs Cream Crackers. Jacobs Cream Crackers were originally created in 1885 and are currently owned/produced by United Biscuits. They are the fastest selling cracker in the UK and Jacobs is the number 1 name in crackers. PACKAGING ++++++++++ Described briefly as there is no picture at the top. If I can find one I will add it at the end. The ...
...There are a couple pictures of crackers on the packaging. (Just to give you an idea of what to look out for on the biscuit shelf). LOOK OF THE CRACKER +++++++++++++++++++++ The cracker is brown and cream in colour. It is square and about 52 by 52, about the size of a post-it note. It is slightly flatter on one side, then the other side is bumpy and bits flake off. On the darker side it has imprinted across the middle "Jacob & Co" and also "Cream" ...

A kick in the Jacobs

Advantages: good for morning sickness
Disadvantages: dry as a bone!

I was browsing through the categories, as you do, and noticed that nobody had written anything on Jacobs Cream Crackers. I was truly amazed! Can nobody have anything to say on this truly British masterpiece? I decided that I must try and write something on this truly boring food commodity. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the odd cracker, but it needs to be smothered in butter and possibly something else. Have you noticed that when you put out ...
...biscuit to go? They are so dry and so messy! A tablecloth is a sight to behold when it has seen an attack of the killer crackers! To be fair, they are wonderful when you are pregnant to ease morning sickness. Go on Sarah, give them a try! I got through packets of the things, completely dry, when I was having my own children. The secret is to eat a few, bone dry, before attempting to get up in the morning. It is often enough to help settle your stomach. ...

...his Dublin factory in 1885.Today Jacob's is now owned by French food giant Danone, and although the brand is still the top cracker in the UK, it appears our tastes are becoming more diverse and continental. Hence Jacob's is now making things more exotic with a Mediterranean range which are lighter and crumblier, more suited to Brie or Feta perhaps? Each lightly baked cracker has six and a quarter square inches of surface on which to spread a topping. ...

Sweet an Innocent or Seriously Savoury

Advantages: Discussions Discussions
Disadvantages: They always fall butter side down

I personally love Jacob’s Crackers, but I am still going to try and give a fairly balanced view of this very well know product. Just in case you have never seen them in the shops, I will give you a quick description, so you can look out for Jacob’s Crackers the next time you do your shopping. They come in a long rectangular packet, which is made up of two shades of bright orange. The Jacob’s logo then appears on three sides of ...
...a black horizontal diamond. They tend to be available in two sizes and are very affordable. The smaller of the two packets is priced at 39p in my local store, as compared to 51p for the larger size. As the larger packet is just under twice the size of the small option, it is definitely more cost effective to “go large!” Now for the best part, the crackers themselves… …Jacob’s Crackers are square in shape with a lightly ...

Are You Crackers About These?

Advantages: Excellent Value For Money
Disadvantages: Often Break In The Packet

I always remember Jacob's Cream Crackers as a kid. There was usually a packet tucked away at the back of my mum's cupboard and when I'd get home from school I would sneak a couple with a bit of Margarine on whilst no one was looking because my parents were quite strict about eating in-between meals. If I got caught I could be sure to hear my dad's booming voice in my ear "You'd better not leave any of your tea!" As an adult I do still buy these ...
...to Jacobs. What Are Jacob's Cream Crackers? A Jacob's Cream Cracker is a square, flat savoury biscuit which measures about 8cm x 8cm. They are made predominantly from wheat, flour and yeast and are a pale cream and brown colour. The surface of the Biscuit is not smooth and there are several raised air bubbles which are a darker brown in colour than the rest of the Biscuit and give the Cracker a flecked, two tone appearance. The Packaging The ...

Review of Jacob's Cream Crackers

Butter, Cream Crackers and Cheese, lovely....

Advantages: Can eat just about anything on them. They are lovely with butter.
Disadvantages: Not nice eating with nothing on.

It was a tuesday evening and i was sat on me own at home, my girlfriend was out, and all i had was me and the mut (dog), so i turn around to her and say, what shall we have for tea, now knowing our dog, she would not answer me LOL, unless i am completely nuts and hear things, which sometimes i do LOL. So me and the mut decide on Jacobs Cream Crackers & Cheese. So we go down stairs together walking next to each other, smiling at one and other, thinking ...
...Ok i think i need to get help LOL. Anyway, we get down stairs and i go into the cupboard and open it, and they are. I take out 8 cream crackers, 6 for me and 2 for me mut, well you have to look after them dont you LOL. So i then go over to the fridge and get out the butter. I then get a knife and get the butter and scoop up the butter on it. Now this is the best bit, you have to make sure you have loads on your butter, and then just put all that ...

One flew over the crackers cuckoo nest!

Advantages: Low in calories, Cheap and cheerful
Disadvantages: Addictive, once you start you cannot stop

Jacobs Cream Crackers Ok some of you may be thinking who would want to write a review on Jacobs Cream Cracker but right now they are my absolute favourites. Trying to stick to my healthy eating scheme and treating myself once in a while to have crackers instead of my usual treats (chocolate and biscuits…hmmm how I miss those Chocolate digestives….but anyway back to the point. I was introduced to these crackers as a child when I saw my brother eating ...
...I remember whenever my mum made these crackers with cheese and butter there would always be a fight and argument over who should get how many! Petty I know, but I was like 8 years old ok! Lucky for my brother and to my mum’s relief I forgot about them for a while. The next time I came across them was when I was a student at University because they were so cheap. At 35p a packet from ASDA I was practically always snacking on them. They were not only ...

AYE UP GROMIT !

Advantages: tasty
Disadvantages: not cheap

Jacobs Cream Crackers =============== Although Jacobs Crackers have been around a good long while they really have had a second breath of life thanks to Wallace and Gromit, and Wallaces obsession with Jacobs Cream Crackers topped with Wensleydale Cheese. Packaging ====== Highly visible in their bright orange packaging you can't fail to miss them on the supermarket shelves. Showing Cheese ladden crackers topped with tom's and allready I fancy ...

In this day and age of striving to save the pennies my wife has taken to put them in tupperware, god I hate tupperware. It's to be found in most of the kitchen cupboards, anyhow back to the review. Jacob's the only biscuits for cheese!

Advantages: inexpensive.
Disadvantages: Loses freshness once opened

Every now and again I get fed up of having sandwiches and opt for cream crackers instead. I always tend to buy a small selection box so there is a variety of different shaped and textured biscuits which is why I always buy Jacob’s Selection pack. Now Jacob’s was established in 1885 and is part of the United Biscuit group based in the UK as well as Jacob Fruitfield Foods based in Eire. Inexpensive The crackers are in an orange and black cardboard ...
...brown, plastic moulded tray containing the crackers, a clear sealed plastic wrapper. There are six varieties in the 200g box giving a good selection to chose from:- Cream Cracker - this is the basic square cream/light brown coloured cracker. It is quite hard and crispy to eat but very dry on its own and is the classic Jacob’s cream cracker. Choice grain cracker - this is again square. It is brown coloured, with specks inlaid, it is crispier than ...

Crackers about Jacobs

Advantages: Make a good snack
Disadvantages: They are addictive

Ok after just having a cup of coffee and a snack of crackers and cheese I thought hey lets do a review on cream crackers. The original Cream Crackers have been made by Jacobs since 1885 and today in my opinion they are still the best crackers on the market, there are imitations around but none of them are as nice as Jacobs. Jacobs are also the company who brought you other biscuits such as Club, Tuc and Twiglets. The Cream Cracker packets are bright ...
...Cream Crackers written inside the diamond in white. Each cracker is square and aprox 6cm x 6cm and are light brown in colour with a light bubble type texture. I must warn you they do tend to make some crumbs. I buy a 300g pack for the price of 49p and there are approx 40 crackers in that pack but beware usually I find when I first open the pack no matter what I do the first one or two are always broken in half and be careful not to drop your pack ...

Review of Jacob's Cream Crackers

Jacobs Cream Crackers - What do you want in your sandwich ;)

Advantages: Great taste, good price, lots for your money, not too unhealthy.
Disadvantages: None

I adore cream crackers, I probably eat them pretty much everyday recently (not sure if that's necessarily a good thing - I'm a tad obsessed!). You can purchase a 300g packet of Jacobs for around 60p. Cheaper cream crackers can be purchased but I think that Jacobs are the original and the best with their orange and black packaging which makes them stand out on the shelf and makes them instantly recognisable. Cream crackers are made from wheat flour ...
...air holes all over them which are very precise so I guess that they must be done by a machine. Each cracker is 34 calories and 1g of fat approximately which means that as a snack or even as part of a dessert cheese board these aren't too bad for you at all. I love to eat these crackers with butter, marmite & ham or with some cheese on the toast. Last night I even ate them sandwiched together with peanut butter. I absolutely adore them, the taste ...

Review of Jacob's Cream Crackers

Think Crackers then Think Jacobs

Advantages: Crisp. Tasty Versatile
Disadvantages: Flaky. Dont Eat Them in Bed

Think Crackers? Think Jacob's ! That is what Danone, who are the owners of Jacob's tell us. On reflection too I think it is about right- stop half a dozen people in any High Street in Britain and ask them to name a cream cracker and the chances are they will come up with the name of Jacob's. This household favourite is best described as a crisp, flaky, dry biscuit which uses no artificial colouring, flavouring or preservatives. It is suitable for both ...
...any time of the day. Jacob's can be eaten at breakfast time with a wedge of cheddar cheese ,a dash of Marmite, or with cottage cheese.Feeling peckish in the mid morning then try a Jacob's with a thin slice of cheddar processed cheese or a dash of cheap black caviar. Afternoon tea is OK for you to have a nice cream cracker with butter or perhaps with plum jam and if you are a tad hungry just before bed time, help yourself to a couple of these ever ...

GO CREAM CRACKER

Advantages: Light easy to add flavour too
Disadvantages: Not as filling as bread

...I decided to go for Jacob's cream crackers. They have a distinctly more sophisticated flavour (and are slightly more expensive than those mentioned above). My mum brought around Jacob's selection for a Sunday tea, amongst others (Cornish wafers, Choice grain, Salt & Pepper, Digestives, Ritz) the selection included crackers. So what follows is something of a comparison. But 1st some detail: THE PRODUCT Jacob's is a registered trademark of United ...

FREEPHONE 08081 44954 Jocob Fruitfield Foods Ltd Blessington Rd, Tallaght, Dublin 24, Ireland. MY OPINION Jacob's crackers are convenient bit size food, a useful substitute or alternative for bread. A packet or 2 is probably lighter than a loaf of bread (worth remembering when you are carrying bags from the supermarket). ...
