Advantages Advantages Tasty, not too salty

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Too Moreish!

A review of a 150g packet of Jacob's Tuc Cheese Sandwich biscuits. These are one of my, non-chocolate based, favourite snacks. The only trouble with them is that they are a little to moreish for my own good. The packet says TUC IN and I don't need telling twice! So, I thought I would share my enthusiasm for this product with you. A Few Facts + Jacob's was establishe in 1885. + Tuc is a brand owned by the Jacob Fruitfield Food Group which was established in 2004. + They are made in Hungary (well my packet was anyway). + They are suitable for Vegetarians. + Once opened they should be stored in ... more

Advantages Advantages Good taste and a healthier option than I thought.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Rather messy if they crumble.

What is it about this time of year – post-Christmas, cold, dark days etc etc? I seem to have been going through a nostalgic phase recently. Fortunately – or not, from the diet angle – it has mainly surfaced in relation to food products. Honestly, it could have been a lot more expensive otherwise! My latest fad – I think craving is a bit too strong, and I always associate it with pregnancy – was ‘for one of those biscuits we used to be able to get, you know, a bit like Cheddars but the shape was more rectangular & there was a kind of cheesy filling between the two biscuits, sandwiching them ... more

Another snack review from the appropriately named 'PIG'gypine, this time on Jacobs Tuc Cheese Sandwiches. Jacobs have been producing crackers of different sorts for over a century and currently have 20 different styles of crackers available. Tuc cheese sandwiches come in a bright yellowy orange packet weighing in at 150 grams, with approximately 14 of the cheese sandwiches per pack they are perfect for sharing or even better for hiding at the back of the cupboard and sneaking out when no one's looking. The sandwiches are a bit tricky to get out of the pack in one piece, attempting to squeeze ... more

Advantages Advantages Mild flavours, great textures, moorish

Disadvantages Disadvantages leaves your mouth really dry; crumble everywhere

Having reviewed the 'Ritz cheese sandwich cracker' (see my review) I did find myself wondering what the difference was to a Jacobs Tuc Cheese cracker and as Jacobs TUC cheese sandwich crackers were on offer at 2 for £1 (150g pack) I seized the opportunity. There are obvious differences. Firstly, TUC cheese sandwich crackers are a 6.5cm by 4.5cm oblong shaped biscuits as opposed to the round RITZ ones, though they are also indented with lots of little holes on the surface. They are quite greasy to touch and there aer little bits of salt on the surface of the crackers. The crackers are quite ... more

Unfortunately the quality is decreasing. At lates times I have found that this product has gotten more salty and less cheese tasty as before...
