    As a part of one’s life cycle, I had my most recent birthday (and birthday party) and I was waiting anxiously for the best part of the whole thing . . . my presents!     Advantages Advantages sweet, long lasting, classy scent. Gorgeous bottles that change design every year.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages It would be nice if it were cheaper.

    When it comes to scents, I have never really experimented that much. I know what I like when I smell it on a tester, but I am not brave enough to splash out usually on a whole bottle unless I am pretty sure I like it. I don't even wear it that often, but I have two that I like, one of which I am happy to wear as a daytime perfume into nightime, which is the Jean Paul Gaultier Classique perfume, which I first bought in 2005 as a duty free purchase while on a honeymoon break in France.     I finished my bottle of Jean Paul Gaultier perfume about a year ago and desperately wanted another bottle. So in the run up to Christmas I kept on dropping hints to my hubby that I wanted another bottle of it, so as he would buy me it. Usually when I finish one of my perfumes and I want another bottle of it I would have just bought one from Boots or Bodycare the next time I was in one of the shops. But because Jean Paul Gaultier has such a hefty price tag I have to rely on my hubby buying me a bottle of it for either my Christmas or Birthday.     In the early 1990's something happened to me! I was a Madonna fan and that something was the 'Blonde Ambition Tour'. Up until that time I had been a kid and I was of age in 1991 and I remember seeing this tour that oozed sex appeal and style and was quite radical at giving the message of girl power. A tour that had tried to be stopped in Japan for overflowing sexuality and a message of religion all entwined I was simply captivated and I still am to this day by that particular tour.     I've wanted a bottle of Classique Jean Paul Gaultier for years but have never got around to it, I'd never knowingly smelled it so it was purely based on the bottle that I wanted it so I couldn't really justify the price. A few months ago however I noticed it was available as a reward on Maximiles, I had enough points so decided to treat myself. The bottle is as gorgeous as I knew it would be, the corsetted feminine figure that I'm sure you'll all recognise.     This perfume is very elegant right down to its packaging and design! It offers a sweet scent which is ideal for any occasion especially romantic and evening wear. The heavy scent lasts for hours keeping you smelling good constantly. I had this exact bottle for about 6 months and constantly wore it. The bottle comes in a tin looking sort of like a baked bean tin which isnt very elegant, but when you open the tin you are greated by a bottle in the shape of a womens body.     I absolutely adore this perfume. It reminds me of hot summer nights and lazy days!! I first bought this a few years ago and fell in love with it then. I feel special every time I wear this perfume and as yet I haven't found any which matches it with regards to the scent, style and seductiveness. I think it's a perfume which is too nice to be used only on special occasions so I tend to use it most days and because it lasts so long, you only need one or two squirts to last you all day.     Just as the title of the perfume would suggest this Jean Paul Gaultier perfume is a timeless classic. It was first launched in 1993 and it is my favourite Jean Paul Gaultier fragrance. First of all i love the classic bottle, it is so different to any other perfume bottle and it's very feminine. The fragrance itself is very elegant & romantic and while you can easily smell it on you, it is still very subtle and not overpowering at all.     'Classique' is the most romantic perfume I have ever used. Although the scent can be considered quite heavy, it's very sweet and feminine and thus renders it extremely appropriate for formal or special occasions. The best thing about this item is by far the design, honestly the only reason I was attracted to this perfume in the first place was because of it's design!
