    Advantages Advantages Easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can't get into the bottle, and its new name

I started using ‘Jif’ cream years ago when I had my first house. Seduced by the TV ads, it was the only product which I new would clean my bath! Sadly a little while ago the manufacturers - Lever Faberge – decided to change the UK name to Cif so that the product would be known under one name throughout Europe. Sorry but it will always be Jif to me. So what is it and what can you use it for? Well Cif is a cream cleaner for use on baths, sinks, tiled surfaces etc. It is very simple to use. You just squirt some of the cleaner, be quite mean with it, onto the surface and wipe over with a damp ... more

Advantages Advantages cleans the dirt away fast

Disadvantages Disadvantages no strong smell and leaves chalky residue

Im 17 and live with my parents. I never have a day off as i'm either in work or college. And I have to do the cleaning. 17? Cleaning? Ive never heard those two words ever in one sentence I hear you scream! Aah, but I don't pay any rent, so unfortunately, the cleaning is mostly mine. So it comes to the bathroom. And there is nothing in to clean it with, so off I run to the supermarket to get some cleaning materials. Flash, Mr Muscle, Sainsbury's own, oh, Jif, sorry Cif. Cif used to be called Jif, which if you ask me is a better name than Cif. ---HOW MUCH--- This bottle of Cif, cost me around ... more

Advantages Advantages Smells great, I'm informed it does not scratch enamel

Disadvantages Disadvantages Takes a while to get rid of foam!

I like to think I'm a liberated man, you could call me a modern, nineties man, although it would probably have to be noughties nowadays. I wash and iron my own clothes, I have been known to let my girlfriend out of the kitchen (well, truthfully it's hard to get her in there!), I'm quite happy to have a female boss, especially if she's attractive! I think I'm in touch with my feminine side, although I draw the line at wearing women's clothes (except on the last Thursday of the month!!). I darn my own socks, I even use moisturiser! I'm more than happy in an equal relationship, and I'm all for ... more

    Advantages Advantages cleans well

Disadvantages Disadvantages more expensive than own brand cleaners

Cif lemon cleaner, or Jiff if you use the old name, the name was changes as Jiff is a difficult word to say in some languages Cif easier. I bought some of this for my pre Christmas house clean. Bought it in Tesco it costs £1.27 for 500mls Tesco own citrus cream cleaner cost for 54 p for 250 mls so this purchase cost me 19p more for the same quantity. I do often use the Tesco own but for some reason I chose the cif this time. This cleaner is made by Unilever. Now back to the kitchen sink. I picked up my bottle; it is easy to hold I squirted a little jiff sorry Cif onto the sink basin and the ... more

    Advantages Advantages Lovely clean smell

Disadvantages Disadvantages Leaves a powder residue

I have used hundreds of different products in my research of trying to cut housework down to a bare minimum, every new product that comes on the market promising quicker better results, I guarentee that I will be amongst the first to try it. In all honesty, nothing beats Cif when it comes to cleaning my bath and anything thats glossed white in my house. BATHROOM I tend to squirt, quite librally, Cif all over the bath, then put the plug in run a small ammount of hot water, clean all aroung the bath and taps, and the leave the diluted Cif to work its magic for about 5 mins, go back and rinse it ... more

OK.............never leave home without it... :) This i woudl have to say is one of the most unbelievable cleaning products on our markets today, we have tried everything to copy them, to compete against them but at the end of the day JIF wins everytime. There is this thing about JIF, if you cant remove something you know that once you get jif at it, it is gone, you can use it on any surface known to man and it will clean anythign, dirt, grease, stains, water marks and paint. However, like all cleaning products there is a downside, you have to be very careful where you store it if there are ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cleans effectively

Disadvantages Disadvantages Takes a bit longer to rinse off

This is one of my favourite bathroom cleaners. It really does cut through the grease and dirt with the minimum of effort and leaves the bath, sink and tiles spotless. It is easy to apply, just a dab of the cream on to a damp sponge, wipe over and rinse. You have to be careful not to put too much of it on though, as it can take quite a long time to rinse it off. I find that it doesn’t leave any traces if you rinse it properly. I know that some people prefer to use liquid cleaners as they generally rinse off easier, but I am happier with the results of the cream cleaner (although I use both ... more

Who on earth thought they were doing women a favour producing this awful stuff? Yeh it cleans syrfaces, but then it either leaves them feeling like they've just been sanded down, or covered in what looks like a fine white dust. The cleaning process itself is back breaking. Imagine leaning over your bath. First you have to scrub the bath with the Jif, then you have to rinse it off. Once you move away from the bath you'llnotice theres a trail of damp powder covering the bottom of the bath, so you rinse again. To get that nice shiny look you're then going to have to dry the bath and then buff it ... more

    Advantages Advantages Good all-round cleaner

Disadvantages Disadvantages Lots of rinsing required

'Jif' a household name if ever there was one! Most definitely one of the very few products that does the job it's supposed to and as advertised. Make a mess, squeeze a bit of 'Jif', rub a dub dub, rinse, dry and sparkling results. What more can one ask for from a cleaning product? So why on earth have the manufacturers decided on changing it's name to 'Cif'....... Cif (pronounced Siff) sounds to me like some STD and I'll be damned if I will go into a shop and ask for it. Apparently, the name change has come about because the product is sold world-wide and that people from none English speaking ... more

Advantages Advantages really easy work to get really clean bathroom

Disadvantages Disadvantages none unless you have limestone/marble bathroom

This is the best product I have found for cleaning the bathroom yet. It is suitable for use on enamels ( not limestone or marble though) and cleans really well. As I am a great fan of easy cleaning I am always trying out new things. I thought Jif Mousse was good but this stuff is better. My bath was really bad with limescale and following the instructions I squirted this stuff on and left it for five minutes before rinsing and it worked pretty well considering the filth I was trying to shift - it actually says to just reapply and leave five minutes more if it is really bad grime but I just ... more
