Sleek and Shiny

Advantages: Keeps my fair sleek and Frizz free
Disadvantages: Bottle leaks

...want sleek shiny hair. John Frieda opened his first salon in London in 1976 and realised his first range of haircare products through Boots in 1988. In 1990 he introduced Frizz Ease Hair serum. The product has grown since then and was named product of the decade by a leading hair style magazine in the late ninties. I remember the first time I bought this product. It was after I had seen a magazine advert. The adverts today still use the same model ...
...The model has very long naturally curly red hair. In the before picture her hair looks fizzy. There are two after versions, the first when the model has had her hair dried straight using the product and it looks perfectly smooth and sleek and the second when the product has been used to define her curls and remove any frizz. Her hair looked marvellous, I was straight out to buy the product. The product states that:- “This Hair Serum instantly ...

Stop those horns

Advantages: It works and doesn't make your hair greasy
Disadvantages: Could be expensive if you use a lot

I have the most annoying hair possible (or maybe we all think that about our own hair). It is dead straight, lank and greasy – lovely! To cap it all I have horns. By this I mean two curly bits at the edges of my fringe that curl up every day to look like cow’s (or devil’s) horns. My partner often ‘moos’ at me. It gets worse in the damp or rain and I have to wash it or wet it and dry it every morning to try and flatten ...
...day). If you look carefully at my profile photo you can just see it starting to curl at the edges. I blame my mum for passing me her annoying genes. I had heard of this Frizz Ease serum from adverts but presumed it was for frizzy hair as the product name suggests. One day I read a Ciao opinion about it which suggested that it could also be used to smooth curls rather than frizz and it gave me an idea – why not try it for my horns? I purchased ...

Sleek, shiny, silky soft hair

Advantages: Does what it says it does
Disadvantages: Expensive to buy

John Frieda Frizz Ease hair serum is a must for anyone with dry, frizzy and unruly locks. The first serum to be widely available outside of salons, for my money it's still the best by far. It can turn even the nastiest haystack into a sleek, shiny pride and joy instantly. Frizz Ease serum comes in a 50ml see through bottle which costs around £6. Expensive, but it does last. I get through one botle about every three months, and I use it A LOT. Basically ...

Frizz Ease works perfectly well on its own, but you can also buy other John Freida frizz-busting products with the same ingredients, such as shampoo, conditioner, conditioning spray and hairspray. ...

Does exactly what it says on the bottle

Advantages: It actually works
Disadvantages: Tad expensive

I have extremely thick hair and along with being thick, it's also kinda dry so I decided to try Frizz Ease to see if it actually made a difference. To my surprise, this product's reputation is actually well deserved. It certainly did smooth my hair and make it nice and sleek. I bought it from my local Boots store after being caught in the rain and being fed up with my frizzy hair. I took it home and used it the next day and wow, was I impressed. ...
...wash your hair and wring out the excess water without towelling it dry, then skoosh a little bit of the clear serum onto your finger tips and rub evenly through your hair. The instructions tell you to put it on your palms and apply but I find even distribution is a lot easier with my fingertips. You really do only need a very small amount (although, as the instructions say, this depends on the length and thickness of your hair), and this means that ...

...a lot of interest in John Frieda products simply because of the packaging. I must admit to being seduced by a nice bottle etc! John Frieda products look dull! I had tried Frizz Ease Hair Serum (Original Formula) many years ago when it first came out. I must not have been impressed cos it isn't a product I've re bought until... recently. I'd run out of things to buy and still had vouchers cos I was getting more of them as I ...

...products that I swear by. John Frieda’s serum is especially formulated for the needs of frizzy hair and is the best-selling hair serum for frizzy hair in the U.K. and U.S. The product comes immaculately packaged in a transparent little plastic box complete with a small hair-care system leaflet, which is packed with information about the other products in the range, what the products do, how they work and when you should use them. It also gives ...

This leaflet is very informative to say the least, and has persuaded me to try out some of the other products in the range. The serum itself is very light and leaves your hair unbelievably soft and reduces the frizz significantly. I have been using the product ...

Does anyone remember Krystal Tips and Alistair ...

Advantages: An end to the "hair-halo" effect
Disadvantages: You end up with hair like moulded plastic if you use too much

If they ever stop making this stuff, I will have to shave my head. I have the kind of red hair that goes into little ringlets and curls all over. I didn’t know that until about 2 years ago when I found frizz ease. Until that point I thought that I had the kind of red hair that reminds you of the “Krystal Tips and Alistair” cartoon and forms a kind of fuzzy red triangle on my head. This stuff comes in a little chemistry-set type bottle with a pump ...
...price tag but it does last for quite a while. I tend to wait for the “3 for 2” offer that comes around every couple of months in Boots and then stock up. Using the product is a little weird. The manufacturer recommends that you apply it to soaking wet hair and, after much experimentation I have come to the conclusion that they mean exactly what they say. You have to step out of the shower with your hair dripping wet and apply a couple of squirts ...

I got recommended this product by a friend of mine she said this actually works ! so I went into boots and looked on the shelf and it was £6.99 for 50ml, thats quite expensive! but I thought if its going to do my hair any good then the price isn't that bad! Still Scatty, but getting less frizzy

Advantages: Dont need to use a lot.
Disadvantages: None

Well as the title of this says it works on one but not the other!! Over more years than I would care to mention I have put my flowing locks thru hell and back. I was blessed with naturally curly hair but was that enough for me? Oh no!! I coloured it throughout the late 70,s (pink, green, red…well I was a bit of a punk !!!) then along came the gothic 80’s, so I simply had to have black hair didn’t I? I mean “mousey” ...
...present!! After the birth of my 2 sons my normally natural curly hair had all but gone so I found myself a great hairdresser and thus began “the perm years”. The last perm I had was over 3 years ago now and I am pleased to inform you all that I now have reasonably curly hair..perm free. However all the crap I have put it thru has taken its toll and I am now a sufferer of the dreaded “frizz” from time to time. Until that ...
