Advantages: realy does work, a little goes a long way Disadvantages: up front cost - I've never seen it on special offer!
Although this product is recomended for very damaged, dyed hair, and despite the fact I have never dyed my hair, I was eager to snap this up. My hair is over waist length, so it needs a lot of tender loving care to keep it in good condition - I guess the ends are pretty geriatric for hair after all! I love the fact you can use this as a regular conditioner *and* as an intensive treatment - that does wonders for my faith in it's ability to be doing ... ...And I'm shallow enough that the workman-like, medical-looking blue and silver tube of the packaging makes me think that way to. But it's not just packaging and flash - this stuff really does work, leaving my hair noticably stronger (much less breaking when I brush) as well as shiny and easy to handle. My housemate, who has long and dyed hair has noticed similar improvements, and without damage to the colour either. It works almost straight away : ...

Advantages: Conditions, and shines hair, prevents frizz and makes hair feel like silk. Disadvantages: Too much makes hair look greasy
Frizz-Ease hair serum by John Frieda, is not miracle mend, but as far as I'm concerned it is a great temporary substitute (the serum was not listed, but I thought people should know about it!). The other week I ran out of my normal conditioner, so I used a 'Superdrug' hot oil treatment, as I am growing out old colour, and my hair is still dull and brittle. Anyway, I was rinsing out the hot oil treatment, and my hair was coming away in clumps(and ... ...take my hat off to John Frieda, as this product actually does what it says it will! or will not i.e. it says on the back, that it prevents hair from frizzing in 'damp' weather, well it does more than that. The only negative comments I would make are: if you use too much, it does tend to make hair look (but not feel)a little greasy, and it is expensive (about £3.95 per 25ml bottle), but you don't need to use a lot anyway, so it is worth it and a lot ...

Advantages: Nice fragrance, thick consistency, leaves hair feeling VERY soft. Disadvantages: The screw lid is a bit fiddley in the shower and the tube does not stand very well once you have squeezed it.
This conditioner really works! It is the best I have ever used. I recommend leaving it in your hair for a few minutes while you shower and then rinse it out to really feel the benefits. The tube is metal but as the product is quite thick (you only need a little) you need to squeeze it out like tooth paste. This means that at the end it can be difficult to get the last bit out. Another draw back is that the screw lid can be a bit fiddley in the shower ... ...keep the conditioner in your hand while you attempt to replace the cap, it often slips away down the plug hole ( a real waste as it is quite expensive!)
Despite these criticisms, once you rinse it out of your hair it feels SO smooth, soft and tangle free. I wouldn't use another product now i have tried this! ...
