Advantages: Lightens/brightens hair with repeated use Disadvantages: Makes hair dirty and greasy extremely quickly
...I decided to try a John Frieda Luminous Colour Glaze, which I'd seen advertised on TV and in various magazines. I found it in my local Boots, priced at £6.99 for a 190ml bottle. There are 5 shades available; Sheer Blonde Platinum/Champagne, Sheer Blonde Honey/Caramel, Brilliant Brunette Hazel/Chestnut, Brilliant Brunette Chocolate/Expresso, and Radiant Red. I chose the Sheer Blonde Honey/Caramel shade as this is the category I feel my natural hair ... ...easy to spot amongst all the other hair products out there. The outer packaging consists of a fairly flimsy plastic tube, with a pull off lid in a more sturdy plastic. The bottle itself is cylindrical, the bottom having 4 indentations which if you turn it upside-down, make it look kind of like a castle tower with turrets (that was the only way I could think of to describe it!). It also has a screw-on lid which seals tightly to prevent any leakage.

Advantages: Nothing that I can think of… Disadvantages: Leaves hair feeling matted and sticky and really just doesn't do what it says it will.
...led me to stumble across John Frieda Radiant Red Luminous Colour Glaze.
===What is it?===
The bumf describes it as such:
“_John Frieda Radiant Red Luminous Colour Glaze is an easy to use salon inspired treatment that recharges faded red hair with blazing shine and a hint of deep red colour._”
So basically, it’s a product you apply to your hair, which is supposed to make it shiny and also add back some of the colour/tone that is lost as coloured ... ...but I can understand what John Frieda is trying to do: make the product look exciting & expensive. Personally I think he could have achieved this using a damn-sight less plastic in the process, but of how much importance is the environment really, in the face of John Frieda’s product sales? Indeed. Anyway, moving on…
The stuff within the tube is what we’re really interested in isn’t it? Yes…
So I will get on with it. Squeeze the product out of ...

Advantages: adds a glasslike shine Disadvantages: takes extra time, tricky to use
...that I used is called John Frieda Sheer Blonde Luminous Color Glaze Platinum to Champagne. Wow that was a mouthful, it is the same product as the picture shows just for hair that is a shade lighter. A misconception that people have is that this product can take the place of a conditioner but it is not meant to be one at all. It is a glaze that you are supposed to use after shampooing and conditioning (preferably with the sheer blonde brand of shampoos ... ...buy more (good marketing strategy John Frieda). I do love what this did for my hair and I will continue to use it though I seem to forget a lot. I wish there was a conditioner out there that could do what this product did in less time. I think I would recommend this product due to the fact that the results just blew me away. The application took some effort but it is really worth the extra time. The price is competitive and I don't think it is unreasonable. ...

Advantages: works brilliantly, made my hair look fresh Disadvantages: none
...ago I came across this John Freida colour glaze from blonde hair for about £3.00 for a 250ml bottle and thought that I would give it a try. This is designed for blonde hair, to try and make the colour last better and give it a nice shine. I washed my hair twice (my hairdresser said you should always do it twice) then conditioned it as normal before applying this to my hair and leaving it for five minutes. I then rinsed it off and combed my hair. ... ...looked instantly better and after drying it, it had a brilliant shine to it. I felt like I'd stepped out of a salon. It looked even beter once I had straightened it as well. I was very pleased with the results and after I used it, a few people actually asked if I had had my hair done! This product is also available in brunette or darker hair colours so it can be used by everyone. I'd definitely recommend this brilliant product. I thought that £3 ...

Advantages: Can't think of any Disadvantages: Makes fine, light blonde hair lank.
It's quite difficult to find a colour to enhance light blonde hair. Most semi permanents turn the hair darker, look false or are blue. I saw the colour glaze for platinum to champagne blondes and even though it was quite expensive, I thought it might be worth it if it's a colour to enhance blonde hair. I used it as directed and left it on my hair for a few minutes. When I rinsed it out, it still felt greasy. When I dried my hair it felt lank and ... ...as some semi permanents to give a false look, but I didn't even notice any enhancement at all. I think it looked worse by making my hair feel greasy and lank. I get a better effect by leaving my conditioners on a long time. I have tried it a few times and don't notice my hair being improved. When I try to wash it out, I have to shampoo a few times because it feels built up and my hair still doesn't feel clean until the next wash. ...

Advantages: Amazing for dry hair! Disadvantages: only need a small amount so lasts for many shampoo's
I just used it for my dry brunette hair, and found it amazing, I was able to blow dry my hair, and it left it stunning, I even got a complement from my husband. I can understand that if you have very fine hair, it might leave it a bit sticky, but for us girls, who are a little older, with dried out coloured hair, its amazing, just don't be tempted to leave it in for longer than 4-5 minutes, I didn't even rinse it out very well. I had my hair highlighted ... ...their initial colour instead of looking like a few bits of straw, and feeling soft instead of rough. The product is very easy to use, just be careful with your towel afterwards when drying your hair, as it might get lightly stained, mine did, but the stain came out when the towel was washed. It is a like using a second conditioner, you have to wash and condition before using, you just squeeze out the excess water from your hair, then apply of this ...
