...before but as it was John Frieda and of course Sheer Blonde it was bound to be excellent The packaging is identical to the other shampoos in the range and costs the same too, £4.25 for 250ml. A giant clear toothpaste tube style with the unmistakeable John Frieda and Sheer Blonde logos adorning the front. The Shampoo works in the same way as the regular highlight activating shampoo but it has the extra added boost of thickening the hair and adding ...

Life Is Beachy

Advantages: Smells great, really works, goes with my bathroom
Disadvantages: Price

...range that I bought – John Frieda’s ‘Beach Blonde’ range is actually very good. There are several products in the range but the 3 I tried were the shampoo, conditioner and intensive conditioning treatment, so they are the three I will be referring to here. I’ve used celebrity hairdresser John Frieda’s ‘Sheer Blonde’ range of shampoos on and off for several years now. It seems OK but I’ve never been that impressed with it, I just use it because ...
...I would never have bought the ‘Beach Blonde’ range were it not for the colour. It’s green. The paint chart I used to pick the colour for my bathroom called it ‘Watermelon’ but it is a pale green. THE SHAMPOO The shampoo is called ‘Cool Dip’ (another thing I liked about this range is the names of the products – long gone are the days when a bottle of shampoo was just called shampoo) It is described as a ‘refreshing shampoo’ although lets be honest ...

Sheer Blonde!

Advantages: Works well, leaves hair soft and shiney
Disadvantages: Doesn't smell as nice as some, bit pricey

I used to have sort of darkish blonde to light brown hair which lightened in the summer, but a while ago i decided to just go for it and colour it. My hair is now quite light blonde (though not bleached!) and, despite what the packet promised, the colour did leave it a bit damaged. Ever since then i have been trying to find a shampoo and conditioner that makes my hair soft and shiney, protects the colour and generally make my hair look half decent. ...
...this shampoo i tried LOADS of them. Toni and Guy, Charles Worthington Dream Hair aswell as whatever my mum bought home from tesco and nothing seemed to work. They worked on one thing eg made it soft but left it looking dull or vice versa. Then, i saw this range and decided to give it a go! When i first bought this shampoo it was on 3 for 2 in boots and cost around £4.49 a bottle. Or tube as i suppose it is! It is quite expensive compared to other ...

Hi, my names Worzell Gummage

Advantages: Brings out the blonde
Disadvantages: leaves me with straw hair

...on special offer was the John Frieda Sheer Blonde range. I had always been put off this product by the awful mock pop video used to advertise it but a three for two offer is not to be sneezed at and I bought myself some shampoo, conditioner and hair spay. I have already covered the Conditioner, so if anyone is having Déjà vu, you now know why. Today I’m going to cover the shampoo There are two varieties, one for Platinum blonde and one for Honey ...
...the caramel blond category. The sheer blond range is supposedly formulated to rid blond hair of the chemical and mineral build up of water, product and the environment which gives it that dull, brassy and sometimes ever-so slightly green look. It promises to transform straw like hair to shimmering silk. I am more than a little sceptical, my hair is in quite good condition and has never been colour treated (expect for a few colour mousses). I was ...

Advantages: It magically makes ginger highlights blonde!
Disadvantages: It's a bit pricey

...to splash out £4.25 on John Frieda Sheer Blonde Highlight Activating Shampoo formulated for use on honey to caramel blondes. The product comes in a giant tube containing 250ml of shampoo which is said to Instantly brighten and refresh blonde hair by ridding it of dulling mineral deposits. The product is designed for natural, colour treated or highlighted blondes. The packaging is well designed and looks very stylish. As well as being formulated for ...
...I still use my John Frieda shampoo (but won't have to for much longer because I’m letting my highlights grow out) and have found that the bottle lasts ages because only a tiny amount is needed. I think that this product is well worth its expense and I'd recommend it to anyone who's highlighted hair has turned a funny shade of ginger. Sarah:) ...

Sheer Blonde

Advantages: Works fantastically well, leaves hair feeling soft and clean
Disadvantages: can make hair dry and it's a little expensive

Bloke? Blonde hair? Highlights? If this sounds like you then read on (and if it doesn't, read on anyway cos it'll only take a minute). I've had highlighted hair for many years now (yes, I am male before you start) and recently I had a longer cut with what my hairdresser called 'slices of blonde'. Anyways, these slices were pretty big, definately lighter than usual and basically looked great, so I thought I'd have a new look on the market for something ...
...days later, on my regular shopping trip to my local Asda, I came across the Sheer Blonde range and decided that the £4.30 was probably worth a shot having read previous favourable opinions on here regarding the shampoo. After using it for about 3-4 days, I instantly noticed the change in my hair and I must say after having used this stuff for several weeks now, this stuff is really fantastic in terms of bringing out the blonde in your hair. Whether ...

A Beautiful Boost of Blonde

Advantages: brings out blonde highlights, protects hair, moisturises
Disadvantages: quite pricey, can be drying

As a blonde, I’ve always loved summer because my hair automatically turns two shades lighter, and all my highlights kick in. It’s a great time of year for hair (despite unavoidable limpness and frizz on humid days). Sadly, though, as the days of sunshine wane and the dark winter months set in, my hair inevitably takes a u-turn from being a lovely blonde to a dark, dull, lifeless honey colour. Blah. Why this must happen to us blondes, I do not know, ...
...So as soon as I realise that my hair is looking more lacklustre than luscious, I know it’s time to bring out my Sheer Blonde Moisture Infusing shampoo. (I prefer Moisture Infusing to the regular Sheer Blonde shampoo because I find the latter too drying.) Moments after applying it, my formerly dull hair is noticeably blonder and shinier. It’s a truly amazing thing. I must admit that I was sceptical a couple years ago about the effectiveness of the ...

Advantages: It's great !!
Disadvantages: Hmm a little pricey

...say, WRONG !! I discovered John Frieda Sheer Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner and I LOVE IT and now I too could be flicking my hair all over the place like the ladies on the TV. Priced at just over £4 (at Asda) My husband almost dropped through the floor, especially when I bought the conditioner too ! It does seem pricey but the results are definatley worth it. The container looks very much like a giant tube of toothpaste and contains 250ml of 'Moisture ...
...colour with black and gold writing. The bottle states that it is aloe vera- enriched and it gently cleanses and restores silky suppleness to burnt out blonde hair. I was doubtful, but willing to give it a go. I jumped in the shower and squeezed a blob of the clearish shampoo onto my hand and then lathered up my hair, I wouldn't say that there was a particularly strong smell but it really lathered up well and my hair felt really clean. I always use ...

BLONDE POWER

Advantages: Rids 'dulling' mineral deposits - leaving hair looking beautifully blonde! Cleans hair well and makes it shiny, manageable and sweetly scented!
Disadvantages: Slightly more expensive than the 'average' shampoo!

John Frieda is a genius - no, honestly... he really is. I am not a natural blonde (who is these days?) and therefore spend a fortune every couple of months having my hair highlighted professionally. I have tried all the cheapy-at-home alternatives, and it wasn't a pretty sight. To retain my blonde childlike locks, I have to pay. It's as simple as that. So, quite naturally, I want my hair to stay blonde right up until my next hair appointment. But, ...
...is this 'dulling' effect that John Freida has bravely stepped forward to tackle! 'Sheer Blonde Highlight Activating Shampoo' has been on the market for some years now, but has been given a lot of press in recent months. The Shampoo sets out to do two important things: * It instantly brightens and refreshes blonde hair by ridding it of dulling mineral deposits * It neutralises chlorine So, with the help of natural caramel, honey and wheatgerm, ...

Sheer expense

Advantages: Clean your hair!
Disadvantages: Expensive for what it is

...got a bottle of this John Frieda Sheer Blonde shampoo a while ago as part of a special offer - buy one get one free or something like that. Its intended use is chiefly for 'fake' blondes - those of us sporting bleached hair or highlights and the like. It is meant to revitalise the colour and conditon and remove the dirt and pollutants that can cause such hair to become yellowed, discoloured or brassy. Aswell as that it also claims to restore the ...
...from too much lightening. Now, as I have said, I wouldn't normally buy something this expensive - about £6 for an average size bottle/tube and it doesn't look like anything special either. It's packaged in a clear squeezy stand-on-its-head tube with black and gold lettering. The "Sheer Blonde" range also includes conditioner, hair wax and other styling products and deep conditioning treatments all at the usual 'designer' prices. I also got the ...

Calling all blonde bombshells...

Advantages: Does everything it promises!
Disadvantages: Price.

My best friend and i have been struggling for years to maintain our naturally blonde hair (ok, so strictly it hasnt been NATURALLY blonde since infancy, but neither of us are prepared to admit this!) and most shampoos are a complete waste of time AND money. As a student i can't afford to get my hair highlighted very often and the last time i attempted to bleach streaks in myself it broke off in clumps!! Gentle dyes, permenant or otherwise fade so ...
...or was meant to be after only three washes. So imagine my delight at discovering this fantastic product. It promises alot on the bottle like making hair "glisten" without weighing it down and "tranforming dry, parched blonde into supple, smooth and shimmering silk". You're thinking "yeah right, and let me guess Brad Pitt will massage it in for you too i suppose", well thats how i felt too, but seriously it REALLY WORKS! After only one wash i noticed ...

beach blonde babe...or not

Advantages: nice smell and colour
Disadvantages: expensive and not overly effective

Firstly I have a confession to make.... I’m not really blonde! My hair is actually a light brown colour which may seem surprising as I'm writing a review on a shampoo for blonde hair! To start off with I did buy this shampoo for a reason. I work as a swimming teacher at the weekend and as I am actually in the water with the children my hair does tend to get quite 'chloriny' and one of the promises that this shampoo makes is to 'wash away chlorine ...
...but why I hear you ask didn’t I buy a normal swimming shampoo or suchlike? My local Boots is rather small and I can honestly say this was the only shampoo that even came close to mentioning that it helped get rid of chlorine. The sales lady admitted to me that she also uses this shampoo as she swims a lot and finds it to be effective.(by the way her hair was brown too!) So anyway that is why I use this shampoo! The shampoo comes in a clear plastic ...
