For More Than a Blonde Moment

AdvantagesHelps maintain highlights in your hair, smells lovely, cleans well and rinses easily

DisadvantagesMust be used with a conditioner, expensive, poor packaging

"...Superdrug had an offer on John Frieda Sheer Blonde Highlight Activating shampoo and conditioner, enabling me to buy two products for £6.99 which represented a decent saving when you consider one tube of product costs £5.09 in the store. ==The Product & The Claims== The John Frieda products are packaged in tubes as opposed to bottles and I must admit I am not a huge fan of haircare products packaged this way - especially premium haircare products. ..." Do ya wanna see my body ?

AdvantagesA bit of oomph for your hair !

DisadvantagesNone here !

"...before but as it was John Frieda and of course Sheer Blonde it was bound to be excellent The packaging is identical to the other shampoos in the range and costs the same too, £4.25 for 250ml. A giant clear toothpaste tube style with the unmistakeable John Frieda and Sheer Blonde logos adorning the front. The Shampoo works in the same way as the regular highlight activating shampoo but it has the extra added boost of thickening the hair and adding ..." Read review

Life Is Beachy

AdvantagesSmells great, really works, goes with my bathroom

DisadvantagesPrice

"...range that I bought – John Frieda’s ‘Beach Blonde’ range is actually very good. There are several products in the range but the 3 I tried were the shampoo, conditioner and intensive conditioning treatment, so they are the three I will be referring to here. I’ve used celebrity hairdresser John Frieda’s ‘Sheer Blonde’ range of shampoos on and off for several years now. It seems OK but I’ve never been that impressed with it, I just use it because ..." Sheer Blonde!

AdvantagesWorks well, leaves hair soft and shiney

DisadvantagesDoesn't smell as nice as some, bit pricey

"I used to have sort of darkish blonde to light brown hair which lightened in the summer, but a while ago i decided to just go for it and colour it. My hair is now quite light blonde (though not bleached!) and, despite what the packet promised, the colour did leave it a bit damaged. Ever since then i have been trying to find a shampoo and conditioner that makes my hair soft and shiney, protects the colour and generally make my hair look half decent. ..." Read review

Blonde Doesn't Have to Mean High Maintenance!

AdvantagesNice scent, moisturising, does what it says on the bottle

DisadvantagesHigh price and 250ml size

"...better. While I'd heard of John Frieda's blonde hair-care range prior to my "conversion" as I refer to it, I'd been rather put off paying out £3-£4 for bottles of shampoo that had little effect. It wasn't really until a friend recommended it that I decided to try it myself. I bought the John Frieda Sheer Blonde Conditioner, as well as the shampoo (as the latter's bottle recommended the use of both to achieve the best results). Having undergone a ..." Read review

Hi, my names Worzell Gummage

AdvantagesBrings out the blonde

Disadvantagesleaves me with straw hair

"...on special offer was the John Frieda Sheer Blonde range. I had always been put off this product by the awful mock pop video used to advertise it but a three for two offer is not to be sneezed at and I bought myself some shampoo, conditioner and hair spay. I have already covered the Conditioner, so if anyone is having Déjà vu, you now know why. Today I’m going to cover the shampoo There are two varieties, one for Platinum blonde and one for Honey ..." Magic

AdvantagesIt magically makes ginger highlights blonde!

DisadvantagesIt's a bit pricey

"...to splash out £4.25 on John Frieda Sheer Blonde Highlight Activating Shampoo formulated for use on honey to caramel blondes. The product comes in a giant tube containing 250ml of shampoo which is said to Instantly brighten and refresh blonde hair by ridding it of dulling mineral deposits. The product is designed for natural, colour treated or highlighted blondes. The packaging is well designed and looks very stylish. As well as being formulated ..." Read review

Sheer Blonde

AdvantagesWorks fantastically well, leaves hair feeling soft and clean

Disadvantagescan make hair dry and it's a little expensive

"Bloke? Blonde hair? Highlights? If this sounds like you then read on (and if it doesn't, read on anyway cos it'll only take a minute). I've had highlighted hair for many years now (yes, I am male before you start) and recently I had a longer cut with what my hairdresser called 'slices of blonde'. Anyways, these slices were pretty big, definately lighter than usual and basically looked great, so I thought I'd have a new look on the market for something ..." Read review

A Beautiful Boost of Blonde

Advantagesbrings out blonde highlights, protects hair, moisturises

Disadvantagesquite pricey, can be drying

"As a blonde, I’ve always loved summer because my hair automatically turns two shades lighter, and all my highlights kick in. It’s a great time of year for hair (despite unavoidable limpness and frizz on humid days). Sadly, though, as the days of sunshine wane and the dark winter months set in, my hair inevitably takes a u-turn from being a lovely blonde to a dark, dull, lifeless honey colour. Blah. Why this must happen to us blondes, I do not know, ..." Read review

Shampoo for life

AdvantagesColour, not strong smelling, easy to wash out, soft feel, tones

DisadvantagesPrice

"...with the other 2 conditioners John Frieda does and I will not go back to any other brand for a long time. The only downside is John Frieda is expensive but I normally get them from Superdrug or Boots on offers such as 2 for £7.50 or 3 for £10. ..." Read review

Want your highlights activated ???

AdvantagesIt's great !!

DisadvantagesHmm a little pricey

"...say, WRONG !! I discovered John Frieda Sheer Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner and I LOVE IT and now I too could be flicking my hair all over the place like the ladies on the TV. Priced at just over £4 (at Asda) My husband almost dropped through the floor, especially when I bought the conditioner too ! It does seem pricey but the results are definatley worth it. The container looks very much like a giant tube of toothpaste and contains 250ml of 'Moisture ..." Read review

BLONDE POWER

AdvantagesRids 'dulling' mineral deposits - leaving hair looking beautifully blonde! Cleans hair well and makes it shiny, manageable and sweetly scented!

DisadvantagesSlightly more expensive than the 'average' shampoo!

"John Frieda is a genius - no, honestly... he really is. I am not a natural blonde (who is these days?) and therefore spend a fortune every couple of months having my hair highlighted professionally. I have tried all the cheapy-at-home alternatives, and it wasn't a pretty sight. To retain my blonde childlike locks, I have to pay. It's as simple as that. So, quite naturally, I want my hair to stay blonde right up until my next hair appointment. But, ..." Read review

Sheer expense

AdvantagesClean your hair!

DisadvantagesExpensive for what it is

"...got a bottle of this John Frieda Sheer Blonde shampoo a while ago as part of a special offer - buy one get one free or something like that. Its intended use is chiefly for 'fake' blondes - those of us sporting bleached hair or highlights and the like. It is meant to revitalise the colour and conditon and remove the dirt and pollutants that can cause such hair to become yellowed, discoloured or brassy. Aswell as that it also claims to restore the ..." Read review

Calling all blonde bombshells...

AdvantagesDoes everything it promises!

DisadvantagesPrice.

"My best friend and i have been struggling for years to maintain our naturally blonde hair (ok, so strictly it hasnt been NATURALLY blonde since infancy, but neither of us are prepared to admit this!) and most shampoos are a complete waste of time AND money. As a student i can't afford to get my hair highlighted very often and the last time i attempted to bleach streaks in myself it broke off in clumps!! Gentle dyes, permenant or otherwise fade so ..."
