Chelle gets slippery in the shower

Advantages: Does exactly what it says on the tin, well it would if it was in a tin
Disadvantages: Smells manky, crap bottle, bloody expensive

...on special offer was the John Frieda Sheer Blonde range. I had always been put off this product by the awful mock pop video used to advertise it but a three for two offer is not to be sneezed at and I bought myself some shampoo, conditioner and hair spay. There are two varieties, one for Platinum blonde and one for Honey to caramel blond. I think that my mop fall into the caramel blond category. The sheer blond range is supposedly formulated to ...
...and what can I say: John Frieda is a genius. My hair glowed. Maybe it was the sun streaming through the bathroom window but there were actually strands of gold thread running through my hair. It was still at dark as it always was but with all the natural highlights brought out. As the day pass the highlights subsided and the effect was less impressive but still my hair was nicely conditioned and not weighted down the way it is when I use other conditioners. ...

My Moment in the Spotlight

Advantages: It works
Disadvantages: No smell

...now! I've used the John Frieda 'Sheer Blonde' range of shampoo and conditioner for a while, more out of habit than anything - they are neither fabulously good or fabulously bad so I stuck with them, better the devil you know and all that. The range comes on 3 for 2 in Boots quite often and normally I buy 2 bottles of shampoo and a conditioner but I was felling adventurous so I which is how I ended up with a little silver tin of gunk!! Sheer quality

Advantages: Shiny, silky, soft hair.
Disadvantages: Price, fragrance.

I started using Sheer Blonde when I saw the adverts which many of you probably remember: 'I love you, I love you, I love you, love you, love you - yes I do!' It was also recommended to me by my hair dresser. He told me not to use the conventional shampoos and conditioners, such as Herbal Essences and Pantene... apparently they are bad for your highlights, they dry out your hair and they leave traces of plastic. Sheer Blonde can be used by people ...
...highlighted hair. I'm sure it can also be used by brunettes and redheads who want to lighten their hair slightly. However, Sheer Blonde transformed my hair... I came out of the shower with it sleek and shiny and I had no knots left. Having thick hair, I usually struggle with combing my hair afterwards. I also followed my hairdresser's tips about washing hair to gain the optimum results. Firstly, wash your hair with shampoo, twice if you find you ...

SHEER Loveliness

Advantages: Shiny pretty hair
Disadvantages: Cost

...this op sounds like a John Frieda advert, but I promise I am being honest!! You can buy small travel sized bottles from superdrug (I’m not sure how much they cost though) if you just want to try it. If you are not blonde, I have been told it is still a very good conditioner. It is expensive but the end result is worth it. (Plus if we all buy it, they could stop broadcasting those adverts with the singing twins!!!!) Thanks for reading LOUISA ...

Blondes - take it all off!

Advantages: Leaves blonde hair looking refreshed and smelling gorgeous
Disadvantages: A little pricey

I was born blonde, but over the years have gone a little darker so a trip to the hairdresser was in order to 'lighten up'. To keep my new found blondeness I tried the Sheer Blonde volumising range and have found it fantastic. The idea of the range is to protect and restore hair against damage from minerals found in tap water, chlorine and general damage from pollution. After using it I can really say my blonde looks less 'brassy' and in a lot better ...
...lathers up really well and you only need a small amount. It smells really fresh and clean and rinses off very easily. The conditioner (again approx £4)goes a long way too, and a bottle lasts me a good 3 weeks washing/conditioning every day (I have long hair too). I leave the conditioner on for a few minutes before combing it through and rinsing, and my hair is tangle-free which is a miracle with crazy hair like mine! After washing and conditioning ...

It pays to complain (nicely of course!)

Advantages: Very good for coloured or treated hair
Disadvantages: Opening the lid!

...I sat down and e-mailed John Frieda - not personally you understand, I just went to the website which is printed on the tube. "Is it just me" I said, and went on to explain the difficulty I had been experiencing. Well, this was about a week ago, and I had given up hearing and was about to sit down and e-mail them again telling them I didn't think much of their customer service! Then, after a really hectic morning of taking the cat to the vet and ...
...I have used several of John Frieda's products and they do all seem to 'do what it says on the tin'. Frizz-ease, Funky Chunky (apologies if the spelling's not quite right). My hairdresser, who also happens to be my best friend, has always recommended it. She doesn't have a salon, she works from home (our daughters grew up together - well, they're still growing). She is very knowledgeable about this type of stuff. Sometimes paying a bit extra reaps ...

beautiful blondes

Advantages: Works wonders - leaves hair smooth and silky
Disadvantages: price

My hair is naturally a medium blonde colour but I get highlights put in it to brighten it up. I try my best to keep my hair well conditioned as I get it coloured and also I regularly use straightners in my hair. I first tried sheer blonde - Blonde Hair Repair about 3 months ago when I bought it in a sachet, it was 99p. I was very impressed after the first time I used it. You can use the conditioner daily and leave it on the hair for 3-5 mins after ...
...the conditioner on for 15 mins. This is for intense conditioning and stengthing and should be done once a week. The conditioner left my hair feeling silky and shiny. I kept Buying the sachets which was costing me a fortune, until one week I noticed you could buy it in a 125 ml pot for £4.99. Although this is expensive it worked out cheaper than repeatively buying the sachets. The packaging of the pot is quite attractive and modern. It is a a plain ...

No More Magic Roundabout for me!

Advantages: Silky, Shiney, knot free hair
Disadvantages: You can never get the last bit out of the tube.

After having my last child in January 2004, My husband decided that i needed a trip to the hairdressers to treat myself. So I decided to go back blonde again the way he likes. The only problem with this is that my hair is extremely thick and when I have it dyed blond it tends to go extremely bushy. To be brutally honest I look like Doogle the Dog from the magic roundabout, which is neither attractive or sexy, so I end up putting my hair in a ponytail ...

At first I was put off by the price, but decided I deserved a treat once in a while and brought it anyway., and I am so glad I did (I'm not to sure about my husband though, given the price) I can honestly hand on my heart say that this product has changed my life. I can now wash my hair and the get a brush through it with out pain, It drys flat and not it's uasual two foot wide. It is always silky and shiny which it never ...

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Shampoo

Advantages: leaves your hair bright and shiny!!
Disadvantages: Price (cos its the only one i can think of)

After having my highlights re-done several times over the last few years and trying various products and never having much success, I always found they dulled really quickly. Then again i hadnt tried Sheer blonde! It was recommened to me and what a difference it made. It is designed to counteract the darkening and dullen that daily life has on the hair. It is highlight activating shampoo which gets rid of all the toxins - smoke, pullition etc. ...
...heard the same thing before but this really did make a difference! It neutralises chlorine so after a swim i can be pretty sure that my hair doesnt go green!! There are two types of shampoo: Champagne Blonde and; Honey to Caramel blonde so whatever blonde you are there is one to suit. The product looks great- a nice caramely colour for the darker shades and I dont think it smells bad although others do!! It leaves your hair bright, shiny and ...

Very impresive

Advantages: smooth soft hair
Disadvantages: none

This conditioner is really good. I have quite thin hair and most conditioners weigh my hair down and make it limp and greasy. I wanted a conditioner that would leave my hair full and bouncy and thats just what this one does. I put it on after shampooing and left it for about 2-3 minutes. It washed of well and even before i dryed my hair i could feel how smooth it had left it. I towl-dryed my hair and then blow dryed it and my hair looked so healthy. ...

Sheer blonde

Advantages: Smooth and soft
Disadvantages: Lack of fruity smell

I have always had a love for shampoos and conditioners but sheer blonde is by far one of the best yet. I have very blonde hair and i love the colour of my hair, i feel that sheer blonde is good for my hair and gives it an extra touch of blondeness. The smell may not be anything like herbal essences but it is still survivable. It leaves your hair smooth, silky and soft. To get the best results use both shampoo and conditioner, and then blow dry. However, ...

It doesn't get much better than this...

Advantages: It works!!
Disadvantages: The lid fills with water in the shower...

...can I just say that John Frieda Sheer Blonde Instant Conditioner is absolutely the best conditioner ever! My hair is of the dry, uncontrollable, not-quite-curly-yet-not-quite-straight variety. I have an abundance of blonde highlights, and long hair, so it usually looks decidedly tired and frizzy. This conditioner is wonderful. It really is instant! I'm used to leaving my conditioners on for at least 10 minutes, and still seeing absolutely no difference ...
...I have to do is massage it on and rinse it straight off and my hair is amazing! Used with the moisture-infusing shampoo, this provides really manageable hair. Believe me, I've tried the lot - Aussie, Pantene, Frizz-ease, etc - this is the best everyday conditioner on the market (it actually works better than the sheer blonde intensive conditioner, in my opinion!) One complaint - the lid of the tube has a tendency to let water in when in the shower ...
