Advantages: Not messy Disadvantages: Pricey compared to normal oil
This review is about Johnsons Baby Oil Gel.
This product is sooo cool and innovative and recall seeing it advertised possibly three to four years ago max. The ad on tv shows cute babies looking very surprised about this product "a gel"? They had the most cute faces!!!
The first version I bought was the camomile one which I did finish some time ago and now I am currently using a different version I bought in Italy (which I never saw round here) ... ...beauty products in other countries as sometimes they stock versions we do not have in here, just to give you an idea I get a caffeine-free version of Coca Cola when I go to Spain or Italy as they do not have it here, I am very sensitive to caffeine an it gives me palpitations therefore I need to avoid it. The version they have in the UK is caffeine-free but it is diet also and it tastes disgusting, the version I get from other countries is just caffeine ...

Another Johnson`s product I have recently tried and tested is their `Baby Oil Gel with Camomile`.
I saw this is Boots some months ago, but it has taken me until now to get around to writing this Op.
It was nearing the time of my holiday and I wanted something nice for after my shower. Sometimes the change in water on holiday can leave your skin feeling a bit different, plus the sun rays tend to dry you out a lot.
It comes in a clear easy to hold ... ...almost bubbly looking liquid inside. My 200ml bottle cost me £2.79.
Before packing this I decided to try it out first. I washed in the normal way i.e. sponge and shower gel/soap. I then proceeded to follow the instructions on this bottle and applied a small amount whilst still in the shower. I disliked the feeling this gave me instantly, but decided to bear with it. I got out of the shower and patted myself dry. OK, so my skin felt soft and smooth, ...

I have been using Johnson's & Johnson's baby products for as long as I can remember. I have sensitive dry skin and find their products have been great for my skin.
I recently spotted their BABY OIL GEL and thought I would give it a go.
I have used the BABY OIL and loved the results it gives, so I couldn't see why I wouldn't like this.
It is a tad more expensive that the BABY OIL at £3.09 for 200ml. This was from my local Safeway Store. Prices ... ...THE PACKAGING

Advantages: Easy to use. Doesn't drip and run everywhere like the oil. Leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth. Attractive packaging. Disadvantages: The price. It is a new product out, so the price is relatively high at the moment.
I like it when new products come out, which means when I see something I haven’t seen before, I have to buy it. Having used Johnson’s products before, and having always liked them, I had to buy this. **********************PACKAGING***********************
This product comes in a clear plastic bottle, which is squeezable, with a pale yellow flip top lid. The bottle is clear plastic, so that you can see the product inside.
On the front of the bottle ... ...is clinically proven to lock in ten times more moisture and that it contains camomile.
On the back of the bottle there is a sticker that tells you the directions of use, the amount inside and the ingredients. There is also a small product description.

The gel inside the bottle is clear in colour and of rather a thick consistency. This means that once you have squeezed some out of the bottle, ...

Advantages: really does leave skin feeling baby soft and smells great Disadvantages: none
Imagine my surprise when my fella came home from work and handed me a bottle of Johnson`s baby oil gel because lets face it, it not the sort of thing you would expect a guy to be thinking about. As it turns out he wasn`t thinking about our baby at all but that is a different story.
Well I thought that I would have to try it as he had bought it and I really like johnson`s baby stuff normally. And I am happy to say that johnson`s never cease to amaze ... ...a little bit on my body my skin really did feel baby soft, so much that I couldn`t stop rubbing my body ( Arms and legs I mean, not trying to be rude here.)
So now I want to tell you all about this great product.

Advantages: Nice Looking Packaging, does soften skin Disadvantages: greasy, hard to open and expensive
I decided to try Johnsons Baby Oil Gel (with camomile), as i love the way baby product leave your skin, but don't like the overpowering fragrance of johnsons products.
I was impressed when i saw the adverts, they claimed that not only did it leave skin super soft by locking 10 x more moisture than other lotions, but also claimed it to be non-greasy, and easy to use!!
So, off i popped down to Superdrugs, where i think i paid £3.04 for what seemed ... ...night i though i'd have a bash, after my shower. Knowing it was oil, i thought i had better stay sat on the edge of the bath so i didn't spill on the new bathmats!! HUGE MISTAKE!!
The first down side was the cap, it's quite stiff and after struggling with the cap for a few minutes (not made for people with long nails!) it finally popped open.
I squirted a relatively small amount on my hand, about the size of a 50p, and started applying onto damp ...

Advantages: moisturises well, suitable for everyone Disadvantages: can be greasy if too much is used
I bought a bottle of this after seeing it advertised when it first came onto the UK market. Spotting the opportunity to be a bit lazy and moisturise whilst still in the shower, therefore avoiding the routine of applying moisturising cream afterwards - I got myself down to Boots to purchase a bottle.
I bought mine for £2.99 and it’s available for the same price in Sainsburys and at a bit cheaper in Asda and Tesco at £2.77.
The bottle itself ... ...is yellow. It has a flip top lid which is easy to use – even with slightly greasy hands. It has the suction application which is commonly used with the shower gels which you can hang upside down by the handle, although it doesn’t have a handle so has to sit on the shelf in my bathroom with my array of other products.
Johnson’s Baby Oil Gel contains chamomile which can be found in various products of this type as it seems to have ...

Advantages: Skin feels soft and silky, lasts well Disadvantages: none
...try another product from the Johnsons & Johnsons range.
It will cost about £3 for a 200ml bottle, if you get it from Superdrug, but i doubt the price would change very much depending on which shop you get it from.
THE PACKAGING
It comes in a clear bottle with a yellow lid on it which works by flipping the top off it. It has blue and green lettering on the and a white and blue label on the back of the bottle.
THE GEL
The gel is clear and thick ... ...a little greasy. However, once it has been rubbed into the skin it loses its gresy feel a bit and quite quickly disappears, leaving the skin feeling very silky and soft. The gel has camomile in it too, which I am not sure why thats so great, but im sure its good for your skin. As it is quite thick, it can be quite deceiving and a little bit will go a longer way than you may think, which means that the bottle lasts quite a surprisingly long time.

Advantages: Nice camomile smell Disadvantages: Thick, difficult to rub in
I don't know why on earth I bought this. It was probably thanks to clever advertising and a few pound clinking together in my pocket with nothing to do.
~*~Packaging~*~
A clear plasic bottle with a yellow lid. Clear gel visible inside. Stands upside down so the gel comes out easily with minimum shaking and frustration involved.
Quite a large bottle, 200ml, lasts forever.
'Johnson's baby oil gel' written clearly in swirly blue writing.
Claims ... ...with beautifully soft skin. A good idea, in theory.
~*~Price~*~
Only a few pounds £2-3 maybe for a 200ml bottle. My memory fails me unfortunately. Available from most supermarkets and chemists as well as Boots, Superdrug and the like. ~*~Directions~*~
'Apply just a small amount onto wet skin during shower and pat dry with a towel.'
I have to hand it to them, it certainly does sound simple. However, in practice, this is much easier said than done. ...

Advantages: ideal for any age, any type of skin. leave skin soooo soft Disadvantages: as it is an oil dont put it on just before getting dressed as it may mark clothing
Johnson baby oil gel....a must have for any age. I always used to use the oil but found it was a bit messy and I ended up using far more than I should have done. This gel formulation means you can use a small amount if required as it doesn't all come flooding out when you tip it to pour. I use it all year round, all over my body to keep my skin soft and supple. And I found it lasts me ages as you only need a small amount as it goes a long way. In ... ...it twice a day but in the winter months I use it at night only. It doesn't have a strong smell, not in my opinion anyway. I use it about 30 mins before getting into bed as yes...it is an oil so it takes a while to soak in but I think it is worth the wait and it leaves you with great looking soft skin. ...

Advantages: very nice smelling, soft skin Disadvantages: slippery, but hey, that's oil for ya...
...thoght I'd give this new Johnsons Baby Oil Gel a try. Now, what you should do is, read the instructions properly before you use it. I never did ;o)
I dried my kiddies and started rubbing the Oil into the skin and thought to myself, this can't be it. I used nearly a full bottle in one go for 4 kiddies. It was horrible, it wouldn't spread, it was soo gloopy. After I sent the kiddies off to bed I spoke to my husband about it, he read the back of the ... ...Perfumes on him, but the Johnsons Baby Oil Gel even left his skin lovely and soft.
My husband has real dry skin, after he used it a few times, his skin feels a lot better. His skin used to feel tight and itchy after a bath or shower, but it doesn't anymore now.
Even if you got hard skin on elbows, ancles or knees, use the Johnsons Baby Oil Gel on it and it will go. Maybe not after using it just once, but if used regular, it will go.
Use it after ...

Ok I first saw this product in a magazine Kylie used in her spinning around video...you know the one where she wears those gold hot pants and being such a consumer I had to buy...so off i marched down Asda and bought some bargin I thought at 2.99....
I have seen the adverts you know baby oil locks in 10 times more moisture than regular lotion...but it is so messy...you end up spilling it all over the floor...it ... ...into it they nearly knockout their front teeth on the taps...well not anymore...this comes baby oil comes in a gel...so no more mess...it has a easy squeeze bottle which lets you squirt the right amount out...but have found that sometimes it tends to leak a little from the bottom...you don't need very much of the gel at all to as it is much more concentrated than a regular moisturiser and a bottle of this stuff lasts ages!
It has a faint smell nothing ...

Advantages: DOES AS IT SAYS ON THE BOTTLE Disadvantages: LEAVES THE SKIN LOOKING GREASY
I have used many different moisturising creams in the past for my children, but have discovered that the baby Oil Gel is the best by far.
I have used this for two years now for my baby daughter and also use it on my 5 year old. It is best to apply straight after a bath preferbly on wet skin, it really locks the moisture in (as it says on the bottle).
It comes in a plastic transparent bottle which is stored with the opening facing down, this enables ... ...needed. I have found that it lasts a long time as a small amount is enough to leave your skin feeling and smelling very nice.
The gel can however take a while to seep in and so you are left with a greasy look, however this does in turn leave the skin looking and feeling moisturised.
It usually retails around £2.75 so maybe a little more then buying another brand/range of moisturiser, however due to the longevity of it and the fantastic results ...
