    ****What is it**** Johnson’s baby shampoo is a shampoo that is suitable not only for little ones but for all the family. Usually just my son (he is 18 months old) uses this but for the purpose of this review myself and my husband have also washed our hair with this shampoo so that we can give our opinions as well. It can also be used to clean babies scalps – especially if they are suffering with cradle cap.     My hair. As everyone knows, it is severely traumatised through various bleach applications and heated appliances, and needs some pampering. I sincerely believe that conditioner is the most important thing to hair, and shampoo is there to cleanse, and do not much else. Hence, I don’t require too much from a shampoo – it has to clean it well, be fairly cheap (I spend a fortune on conditioner instead), and not fade my highlights.     When you look at a baby, it has fine, soft, fly-away hair not the same stuff that us adults have to contend with so you wouldn't expect that the sort of gentle product you wash the small amount of baby hair with could actually work on the masses of knots a adult has. Look at my photo (on the profile) I have long hair, I'm at university, I swim in the morning and play waterpolo in the evening, plus I don't have time to dry it so it gets tied up and taken to pubs....smokey nasty holes.     Picture the situation, I'm all alone in my house, the girlfriends at work, all the housemates are either back home or at uni, the weather for the first day in weeks sucks, there's nothing on TV and I cant be bothered to watch a video.     Advantages Advantages You'll smell like a Johnson's baby, lol. It makes my hair shiny soft.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages You may need to use slightly more of this than a regular shampoo and it sometimes make my hair become rather static.

    I thought I’d tell you all how good I find my sons shampoo! Yes it is meant to be just for the kids but to tell you the truth it works really well on everyone’s hair. Whether you have greasy, normal or dry hair, this stuff is mild and gentle enough to use every day and won’t strip your hair of its natural oils.     Last weekend I had a look around one of those cheap and cheerful shops, you know, the kind that seems to sell everything ! During my visit I stubled across a "job lot" of Johnsons baby shampoo ! Ahh ! Memories ! The 300ml bottles were on sale for only 50p, so naturally I grabbed one ! Surely I am not the only person to remember this stuff from my childhood ? Having grown up though it is not the shampoo I would normally buy, after all, it is for kids right ???     My hairdresser told me, ever so kindly, that my hair was distressed (due to too much swimming and ten years of gunk for dancing exams and shows) and that I needed to change shampoo. This was nothing new. Almost every time I get my hair done, the person snipping away tells me this. First it was “don’t use Pantene as it coats your hair in plastic” then “never try Wella” (for some reason I’ve entirely forgotten) and most recently “Neutrogena Clean and Clear will ruin your hair for life”.     My little niece stayed over and left her Johnson’s Baby Shampoo and we had ran out of our shampoo so I thought why not use hers. To tell you the truth I had never thought of using my baby nieces shampoo before. I had seen the adverts and knew it was a ‘no tear shampoo’ but that’s it really. One thing I used to hate a child was when shampoo would get into your eyes but it’s not been a problem since I have grown up.     Disadvantages Disadvantages as mild have to wash hair more often

    When you think of baby shampoo, you say to yourself, yeah great for babies but no use to me. Well that is where many people can lose out including me. I would never have considered using a baby shampoo as I would have thought that it would be too mild for me. Therefore my hair wouldnt get any benefit and need to be washed again almost instantly. So when I found a bottle of this in the bathroom cupboard I thought to myself why is there this here as there are no babies in the house.
