Joop! Homme is my husbands favourite perfume, he has quite a few bottles of it because family members buy him a bottle for his birthday and Christmas every year. My husband likes his fragrances and has a collection of them just as big as mine. If it were up to him he would only have four or five of them and those would be the Joop fragrances such as Joop Jump, Joop Go, Joop Night Flight etc. Although Joop Homme would be ... ...of shaving balm. A Joop! Homme gift set costs approximately £30-35 depending on where you purchase it from. I always think that gift sets are better value for money because you are getting the matching bath and body products to compliment and layer the scent of the perfume. I have referred to Joop! Joop! is the original fragrance in a growing range from designer Wolfgang Joop. Pronounced Yope it was first launched in 1989 and is now extremely popular amongst men (and women!).
Lets take you to a cyber perfume store. Walk in, scream as the assistant randomly sprays tester in the general direction of your face (think FRIENDS). Once you have clawed at your face to wipe the offending articles away lets make for the perfume counter.
... ...heart of a fragrance. Joop! is a woody smell with vague oriental overtones, its more floral or fruity and light than some of the more classical aftershaves but you still need to be careful with the amount you spray on as it is a powerful scent and will certainly carry well if you spray too much on....not that I personally mind that but for your own safety can I reccomend you spray lightly - we stil have to make it to the till.

Joop, Homme, wie, wie, French Parfum! The french connection seems to be getting through loud and clear. First Kronenbourg1664 arrives then this!
I normally use Lynx as an aftershave! When I was walking through Porstmouth with my favourite girl Emily, we nipped into Alders.
As we walked in , a man smartly dressed passed and Emilys nose followed.
"Can you smell that?" Joop, I love it she said. How much can you love something? Well she pulled me ... ...to try and find some to have a spray of!
So I found what I was looking for and in I breathed and a lovely smell arrived at the back of my nose! Um, it is nice. But out of jealousy being as stupid as I sometimes am, I went and brought it.
Now maybe its me but this is a tad, well, expensive. £19.50 for a 30ml spray bottle. This was brought from Alders so its the respectable price that you'd find hard to find any cheaper.

Usually I passed over this pinkish, rather simplistic bottle during my own fragrance testing, considering it too girly to contemplate a whiff. But what caught my eye on this occasion was the way three middle aged women were passing the bottle between them. Their facial expressions and repeated scenting indicated that they were rather entranced by this pink gem.
So off I went, and tried it on a tester (cardboard ... ...this is rank!" Luckily for me, the shop assistant was more educated than me at such things. I was directed to bare my wrist, and voila, she despatched a short burst onto it. Within seconds, I realised what those three women were delighted about.

"Dear God. Dear God. Save me." I vaguely remember these words running through my brain as the heaven sent scent wafted up from the pages of the magazine. Even that nasty polished-paper smell that mags have couldn't detract from that divine, eyes-closing-and-slow-deep-breath-in, sensation that I got from sniffing the glossy pages. Joop! comes in a pink-purple box. Open the box and there is a bottle of pink liquid. Spray it and smell it and you will not believe it. This stuff is probably the sexiest scent out there. I have (girl)friends who go absolutely crazy for this stuff and they find it almost irresistable. Personally I love the way this stuff smells and I love the way it lasts. I have known this stuff to last for more than a day (although it is very subtle by the morning).

Along with the cheap bottle of Hugo Boss I picked up in Turkey, I also got a bottle of Joop, the genuine stuff, for (drum roll please) £3. Yep, I am like the Del Boy of the continent! However if you buy this stuff somewhere other than a dodgy back of the market dealer you can expect to pay knocking on £25. I will start this review on a negative ... ...for the aftershave personally, but the good sales of the aftershave would prove that other people do!
The bottle is clear with a large (and rather flimsy) lid on it, underneath is a white spray cap that draws aftershave from the very bottom of the bottle (so you can get every last bit!). The writing on the bottle is in large green letters and reads “Homme” “JOOP!” and “Eau de toilette”, going off the point slightly, why is it that aftershaves are ...

Joop is a fragrance which not may people own but one that everyone can immediately recognise. I have owned a bottle of it for about 3 years and still have plenty left. The fragrance is very sweet at first and when I first smelt it hated it for exactly that reason. Once you wear it and the smell is ‘aged’ then it is an amazing fragrance. It is a warm and sensual smell, one which is very masculine despite its sweetness. The fragrance seems to ... ...and even the next day your clothes still smell delicious. Wearing Joop makes you feel great, you know that the majority of women love it and when men smell it they appreciate it too. So everyone around you feels good too. It seems to be a very social smell! I thought I'd give the men out there looking for a sexy alluring scent a woman's view on Joop Homme. At first smell from the bottle it stinks, it smells girly and fruity and overpowering...but wait! It may be unsexy in the bottle, but I tell you now it has an overwhelming effect on me and my female friends when we smell it on a man!
I can tell straightaway on a crowded street if a man has walked past wearing Joop, my nose just instinctively picks ... ...look at the man who has just walked past me. I always look, doesn't even have to be an attractive man, the smell is just so distinctive that I HAVE to look! However, it is definitely not a good idea to smother it on, it can smell sticky and unmasculine if you drown yourself in it, it has to be subtle, on the neck or chest! Mmmmmm! I must admit now, the idea of an aftershave etc in a pink bottle is a little off putting. So is the fact that the liquid itself is pink. You could also say that looking at the ingredients is a little off putting too (as with most of these types of thing).
Once you get beyond all that however, you do have a wonderful smell. Or should I say scent? It's hard to describe it ... ...wear all of the time. It is a bit sweet and folk might think that you are a large lady's chemise if you were to smell so nice all of the time.
I got lucky with my purchase of it. I didn't have to buy a regular size bottle. They tend to be a bit of a waste and given the fact that I like variety, I have quite a little collection of bottles. So I was lucky to find a selection of miniatures which included Cool Water some others. All for circa ten pounds.

Ok, i have to admit the title is a bit of a lie, but believe me, if someone does like you a little, if you wear this, they will be yours forever.
So there i am, our with me mates on the town here in Lincoln, god and the woman, Legs and Boobies everywhere, just like most of the towns on friday and saturday nights.

Can I start off by saying WOW!!
Joop is one of the finest aftershaves available on the market. I'm 20 years old and bought my first bottle at age 14 - I LOVED THE STUFF THEN AND I STILL LOVE IT.
The young, fresh and sporty smell really puts you in a fun loving mood (sounds strange, but I find it true)
This is very much a young mans Fragrence and the women love it!! Everyone knows that women like designer labels and fragrencies but believe me when ... ...Alternativley, If this is a lady reading this, If you want your man to smell great, this is the one. If I had to sum up Joop with one phase, Here it is: Fresh, Free and Vibrant - Go out and get yourself some.

Ok, being a girlie, I dont actually wear the stuff, but what can I say? Here's proof how good it smells on men. A guy had to come into my office one day to set up the new computer. He had to use my phone quite alot during the set up to talk to his head office. The whole time he was there, I kept getting whiffs of his aftershave which was just delicious. When he left, I picked up my phone to call someone and the handset smelled totally of his aftershave. ... ...her to sniff my phone (dont worry, she knows I'm a bit barmy)She told me it was Joop as her man wore it too.
