I'LL HAVE ANOTHER SMOOTHIE

Advantages: Gets fresh fruit into the children
Disadvantages: Doesn't liquidise very well

...son was given the Junior Ready Steady Cook Smoothie Maker for his 6th birthday. Straight away we had to pop down to the local supermarket and buy fresh strawberries and raspberries to make his first ever Raspberry Rebel! He loved it. Review of Ready Steady Cook Smoothie Maker

Not so Smoothie

Advantages: Safe to use
Disadvantages: Needs a lot more power to liquidise the fruit

My daughter was given one of these for Christmas after “begging” for one. What a disappointment! There we were, Christmas day, and my daughter was really excited. She’d been asking for a Smoothie maker for the 6 months prior to Christmas, and knowing she was getting this, we had plenty of fruit to hand. I put in the batteries (4xAA) which was easy (screwdriver required), and left her with all the ingredients. Being 8 yrs old, she didn’t need an ...
...recipe booklet, so she spent some time deciding what to make with the ingredients she had to hand. After about 10 minutes of hearing this machine whirring, I went to see what she was doing. There were big lumps in the mixture which were just not blending down. In the end, after 3 attempts, we gave up, got out the blender, and did it for her.
