The champion of chicken

Advantages: fairly priced, yummy, restaurants are everywhere
Disadvantages: greasy, not suitable for vegetarians

...Obviously the only meat a KFC will offer you is chicken, which could cause some problems, especially amongst children who would maybe prefer a burger, but yet can’t manage the huge fillet burgers KFC have to offer. The UK now boasts over 500 restaurants since the 1960’s. The difference between KFC and all other chicken outlets being the supposedly secret blend of herbs and spices that make the coating unique from anyone else. Personally I think ...
...day there’s just something about KFC that keeps me going back for more. I’m sure it’s not the prices though! As with every other fast food restaurant all the food is available individually as well as being readily available as meal deals, which are designed to save you money. Some of the typical food KFC will offer you: - Original recipe chicken - combination of wings and drumsticks. - Chicken burgers - either plain or spicy chicken coated in ...

KFC - You have the power to make chickens happy...

Advantages: Great taste but...
Disadvantages: Unhealthy; dreadful chips; worst of all, they are propping up low welfare standards for chickens

...have to walk past a KFC every day on my way home from work - this is a very bad thing. 3 - I LOVE KFC! Here are some more important facts: 1 - KFC are one of the country's largest purchasers of chicken. 2 - All of their chicken options are made from chickens who spend their entire lives in a cramped shed with no natural light in really bad conditions. Here is a final fact before I get on with the rest of the review: 1 - I will not buy KFC until ...
...proper review--- KFC (or PFK - Poulet Frit du Kentucky - if you are in Quebec!) has been serving up various sorts of fried chicken since the 1930's. Their chicken is deep fried and covered in a secret recipe of eleven herbs and spices. Essentially, you are either going to buy chicken pieces, chicken strips, wings, nuggets or popcorn chicken - and in some places, they also sell chicken kebabs. In addition, they sell various side orders, including ...

mmm... Chicken

Advantages: A much better selection and range of fast food than most similar restaurants.
Disadvantages: Chicken-only, not great for vegetarians, varying quality.

...common. So how well do KFC fare in creating an entire fast food chain along the lines of variations on chicken? The chicken comes in three forms - burger, bites or bucket. The burgers usually contain a chicken fillet - whole meat and far less processed than the Burger King or McDonalds' equivalent - topped with lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise and a choice of various others including cheese or spicy sauces. The bigger burgers, 'towers', usually have a ...
...is a big fan of KFC burgers and invariably chooses these. The bites include a number of different meals. The recently launched 'popcorn chicken' mercifully does not actually contain popcorn, they are actually more like chicken nuggets, a tasty and simple meal for children served with a selection of dips. A more sophisticated alternative is the Twister, a tortilla stuffed with strips of fillet chicken, lettuce and tomato. This is probably the healthiest ...

Disadvantages: Small outlets in slightly inconvenient places. Only "good".

...institution that we know as KFC began in 1952 when Colonel Harland Sanders’ first sold the franchise to the KFC “special recipe”. Over the relatively few years since it has achieved fantastic success, based upon the solid foundations of the Colonel’s secret recipe. The food is excellent and the range of fried chicken delights on the menu is the basis of what makes KFC so great. From the “original recipe” meal of ...
...four soft drinks at £7.99 KFC has a superb range of products. My personal favourites are the twister meal (£3.49) and the zinger (spicy) tower meal (also £3.49). The twister is also available as a vegetarian version and the tower meal can just be plain (non-spicy). So what are they, well the twister is chicken in KFC batter strips rolled up in a tortilla with lettuce and a fantastically nice mayonnaise-based sauce, while the tower is a chicken burger ...

Nobody does chicken like KFC

Advantages: Great Chicken
Disadvantages: Not one near to my home

...I have been to KFC many times in recent years, despite there not being many KFC restaurants near where I live. Every time I have loved the food, however until now I never felt the urge to write an opinion about KFC. Even when the Chain Restaurant Competition on Ciao was announced, I still didn’t feel inspired to write about KFC. So what has changed? Well, at the weekend for the first time me and my grandparents bought one of KFC’s famous ...
...opinion. Enjoy. BACKGROUND KFC is a fast food chain restaurant that I believe is an American franchise in its origin. It is similar in concept to McDonald’s and Burger Kind, although it specialises in chicken. KFC is not located in enough locations for my liking, there are none in the main town I visit or in the main city I visit, but there are two KFC restaurants not too far away. They are based in various countries, I visited KFC in Spain ...

...to go to the local KFC drive through and pick up some food for us all for dinner. I have eaten many times in KFC and have always found all there food tasty and hot, well prepared and served fresh and hot. That is until Yesterday. We ordered the KFC Variety bucket at £12.99. Colonels Chicken

Advantages: Delicious
Disadvantages: Cannot think of any.

...just $105 to start the KFC franchising business that we know today. In 1986 PepsiCo inc bought the KFC franchise for a reported $840m although the Colonel only got $2m for his business in 1964. In actual fact it really all began before then as the early death of his father left Harland Sanders as a six years old head cook and bottle washer in the Sanders household, where by the age of seven he had mastered many local dishes. Between then and his ...
...go in the world where KFC is sold the end result is exactly the same, a very tasty piece of chicken. Many have tried to emulate it and all have failed, although some have got pretty close. Even the fries are second to none. Sadly the Colonel is no longer with us but when you see a picture of the bespectacled, goatee bearded, white haired, rotund figure of the Colonel, you cannot help but put your trust in his culinary skills and know that his meal ...

FINGER LICKING GOOD.......well maybe

Advantages: value and quality
Disadvantages: grease, no free toys, cleaners

Okay, so maybe KFC isn't up with fast food greats such as McDonald's and Burger King, but in my opinion it should be. Not only is KFC generally great value (useful for struggling students), it's also generally a lot less stressful eating out there than McDonald's etc. In my experience, an evening out at McDonalds/Burger King means crappy service by people who quite obviously don't want to be there, and being attacked by small obease children (again ...
...be unfair, the employees of KFC probably dont want to be there any more than those of McDonalds and Burger King, the fact that my local KFC is generally deserted, could be the main reason for this 'better' service. I wonder how they would cope if the joint was heaving. Anyway, back to the good value. I for one take great advantage of the cheap deals available, especially where using a special promotional bus ticket you can get 4 pieces of chicken ...

Grease Is The Word

Advantages: Some of the chicken was edible
Disadvantages: But Not A Lot Of It

...of spirit. It was a KFC in a service station on the M5 on a busy holiday weekend. The place was crowded and we had to queue for ages. Similar queues existed at the Burger King section and the restaurant was full. So we plumped for KFC. The problem was that KFC got overstretched. Standards did not so much as fall as plummet like a dotcom share after a profit warning. Chaos reigned at the counter as not only were people queueing to make their purchases ...
...orders corrected. When we got ours we actually ended up with more than we had ordered. I did not go back to have it corrected but actually having too much on this particular day turned out to be not such a blessing. The chicken, it has to be said, was plentiful. The quality of the meat was also good and it was cooked. However such was the demand that the fat had not had time to drain from it. Our Bargain Bucket was a Bargain Congealed Mass of Chicken, ...

Finger Licking Lip Smackingly Good

Advantages: Yummy Yummy in my Tummy
Disadvantages: You have to take your belt out a notch.

...definately NOT for you, as KFC wrote the book on 1001 ways to cook a chicken the only problem is when they cook a chicken the cook the WHOLE chicken (my mind always goes back to the deep fried chicken head that the kid found in his meal a few years ago), but dont be put off. A general review on experience

Advantages: cheap, quality food, friendly, good atmosphere
Disadvantages: fatty and high in calories

Having been to KFC quite a few times recently I would like to express my opinion on their food quality and services. Just down the road, about 10 minutes from we live is a retail park which has a KFC which I have been to three times now. I think the service is fast, efficient and the food has always been fresh and hot, including the fries. I generally find when I visit MC Donalds you get cold fries, which I cannot stand. Infact I cannot stand any ...
...manager. Anyway I think KFC is the best fast food restaurant of today and I will go on to say why in more details in a moment. I will break it down to all the reasons why I feel it beats the rest of the fast food chains. Firstly I think the service has always been excellent in all branches I have visited in my life. I have been to some on motorways, some in Northampton, London, Hertfordshire, Staffordshire and Manchester and comparing the service ...

Disadvantages: Almost always get something in your order wrong

I've read some of the other UK KFC reviews on ciao.co, so lets see how KFC of Australia rates. ...we shall start with what KFC has always been famous for... The Original Recipe Chicken. The chicken is freshly delivered daily and is floured on the premises using a flouring bench, then deep fried in oil for around 15 minutes (if my memory serves me well). Its taste is fantastic and no body has been able to simulate such flavour other than KFC. In terms of price it costs $1.90 AU a piece; however there are many deals available, such as 5 piece, ...

Got Chicken, Got Sticky Stuff...

Advantages: Great Chicken, Variety of Meals, Speediness of Service, Drinks, Ketchup Pots, (not sachets).
Disadvantages: Staff are a bit Weird, Cleanliness, Buildings, Locations, Stickyness.

Firstly, we went to KFC when most other places were closed, or at least the nice ones. We were quite glad we did go to KFC, because the food there was quite nice. Although the place was a bit dingy, it was good enough and the food was excellent. What KFC Serves… =============== KFC serves, (obviously), Kentucky fried chicken. This is a lovely piece of chicken, usually breast, (occasionally leg), and put in a slightly spicy batter. It is crunchy ...
...very well, every time. KFC also serve a wide variety of different salads, and things called twisters. These are pieces of KFC, put inside a tortilla, (slightly like a savoury pancake), and have lettuce, tomato and other sauces in them. I’ve never tried one of these before but most people that have tell me that they are very nice. They also serve bog-standard KFC burgers, (you can guess what that is), and a thing called popcorn chicken. At first this ...

A salute to the Colonel

Advantages: Chicken lovers rejoice!!
Disadvantages: No delivery service and a poor veggie alternative (to be expected really with a name like KFC)

...food of the Gods, then KFC is like Thor's hammer, Neptune's trident or Cupid's arrow. The very thought of those secret herbs and spices, the juicy and tender meat and the fact that there isn't a restaurant within walking distance and my eyes brim with tears. ...for the circulation. Now KFC isn't the sort of place you should visit daily, indeed, it should have a government health warning by the entrance, but as a treat, those slippery yet crusty layers of chicken skin wrapped around some chips and coleslaw really hit the spot. As for the restaurant itself, the service is good as is the speed and consistency of that service, but it is unremarkable (I am a perfectionist when it comes to service, see my op ...

KFC - Finger looking good, or is it?

Advantages: Good price, nice chicken.
Disadvantages: Chips are normally nasty, long queues, dirty tables to sit on.

...Another speciality of KFC is the bargain bucket and this is normally around £10 for which you will receive 8 pieces of chicken (cuts may vary), 4 chips and normally two side orders. There are different variations of the bucket meals and you might also get boneless chicken, popcorn chicken, mini fillet burgers, bottles of drink or even desserts such as vienetta and ice cream etc. You can sit down or take away your food to eat wherever you feel like ...
...the area. Overall KFC is a little hit & miss, the chicken is great, the chips aren't. I've never experienced any problems with the sides apart from beans being cold but these can always be reheated in the microwave if they are really bad. I am rating KFC 3/5 as the price is good, the chicken is but other factors such as cleanliness of the restaurant and how long I have to wait to order have dropped this down from what would have been a 5/5 rating. ...
