Our Kia Carens, is our work horse and our family car, it does all the camping trips pulling our caravan whilst loaded to the hilt, taking us on our family holidays, it can fit a family of 5 in comfortably and take our two dogs inthe rear boot space. Alright, I never actually bought this vehicle. But I had an excruciating 20 days experience with this thing. I was to take my first holidays after our daughter arrived. My Renault Megane was too small for our incredible amount of luggage ranging from a stroller to a high chair and from a playpen to several packs of diapers. ...8 months I could'nt recommend Kia to my worst enemy. "Or could I" !!! It does'nt end there, I now suspect the engine management system, on two occasions recently for no apparent reason the engine has accelerated, luckily the car was stationary at the time. Oh and another thing don't apply the brakes too hard on tight corners, they make a terrible noise and judder like hell. Overall it's a pity the car thieves know more about the Kia Carens than ...
...such thing. In Summary Kia have had 2 trys at making something of what could have been a very nice car. First time round they improved the looks, but alas it has been to the cost of the performance. "Kia the thinking mans car" I think not. ...

I had a Kia Carens on the Motability Scheme. It was off the road more than on it, and I ended up using a number of courtesy cars as a result. The staff at Kia kept telling me there was nothing wrong with the car, and yet the handbrake would not hold on hills, and the clutch kept slipping. Motability were very helpful in allowing me to return the car. I would not recommend these to anyone. Maybe it was teething problems or a faulty batch, but it has put me off for the future. ...
