    Advantages Advantages Performance, big bike looks, handling.

    I own a 2008 Ninja 250R. I've owned the bike for 10 months now and this is my experience so far. When it comes to looks this bike excells. In the showroom I could hardly tell the difference between the big bikes and this one. It just looks great and really sporty. I've taken the bike on quite a long ride and I'm 5 10'. By the end my legs were a bit stiff and aching but not really bad. The seating position overall is comfortable. On the negative side, the bike has no centre stand. The mirrors are narrow and took me a while to get used to them. I'm now used to moving my elbow in before glancing ... more

    Advantages Advantages Fast for a 250, good for shorter people and light.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Not so good when turning and balance issues when going straight.

    The Kawasaki 250R is an excellent little bike, but don't let that fool you! It's fast, and for a light rider, you can get around 115-120 MPH!! The biggest interest in the 250 Ninja for a lot of people is that it's one of the lowest seat heights for a sports (road) bike you can get. At just a little over 29 inches, it's perfect for shorter riders. I am a guy, 5ft 2in and have an inseam of 30 inches. While I can never get on a bigger bike, such as trials or a KTM, I can sit on the 250 Ninja and with my weight 116lbs, the seat drops to about 28 inches almost.     Advantages Advantages The handling is fantastic.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Not the best build quality.

    I have owned this bike since 2010 and I really enjoy riding it. Although it is fairly low powered in comparison to other motorbikes, I find that it still pulls away very quickly and has more than enough power for me.The seat height is quite low, which makes it fantastic for a small rider. I am 5 feet 2 inches and I fit perfectly on the bike. In my opinion, this bike is perfect for anybody that has just passed their test.     I bought the bike brand new in 1994, US (California) specifications. I used to own an Honda Interceptor 750 but too heavy for me. I wanted a light sports bike and really, I only had two choices in 250 class in US, Honda or Kawasaki. The day that I saw the bike, I loved the way she looks. Sexy, light and quick for it's size. I am pretty light so she's got enough power for me, I love the rev happy engine with 14,000 rpm redline! I took her home a week later.     Advantages Advantages It's powerful, reliable, robust, It handles well, the breaks are good and it looks great!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages The chip that limits first gear can be a problem for advanced riders.

    What can I say about the Ninja 250R? It's reliable. It's powerful. It handles like a dream. There's so much I can say about this bike but the one thing I'd like to tell you is that It is truly worth the buy. I've had this bike since I was 20 years old (1 years ago) and I still remember the day I got it. I had just passed my bike test and of course I was limited to the 33bph (for riders under 21). I remember throwing my leg over the seat, starting her up, giving her a rev and heading off on a quick 10 minute ride around town.     wonderful small bike mine is 22 years old its like anything look after it and it will look after you and yes it does what it says on the tin 115 mph but is a little light and flighty at top wack im six feet tall and like this bike a whole lot more than the gt550 i owned before it iwould say get one you will love it

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Unreliable , poor resale value , lack of parts available

    i bought an old 250 ninja a year ago , and have had nothing but trouble with. Constant overheating , wheel bearings , unable to get parts , unreliability and lots of money. Within 5 miles of riding it , the bike had overheated and the engine stalled. It cost me over five hundred pounds to get the engine in a good working order , it would have been cheaper to buy a recon engine , but there aren't any out there. And the bike is still sounding rough. Also i had a choice of ONE rear tyre , an old dunlop that went out with the ark. And even that had perished within three thousand miles. ... more
