Advantages Advantages delicious, filling, healthy, appealing

    Disadvantages Disadvantages pricy

When I checked the 'Product Of The Week', I was delighted when I noticed it was a cereal product! If I had to live off of one food source for the rest of my life, without a doubt I would opt for breakfast cereal! Not only is there a wide variety to choose from, but it is satisfying and appealing too! After finding myself running low on boxes of cereal, I thought this was the perfect opportunity to try something new and stock up on Special K Sustain! To be honest, I am not sure why I had not purchased Special K before; the television advert (yes, that's right, the one that kicks off all those ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages a little bit pricier than others

I want to share my story - my introduction to Kellogg's Special K Sustain, because if my story can help even one person desperately trying to find the holy grail of breakfast cereals than I will have helped make this world that little bit brighter. Christmas indulgence is now but a distant memory and as we head towards the end of January, many of us have already forgotten the promises we made to ourselves on the 1st of the month - I have always been amazed at how much easier it is to Quit 'Quitting' than it is quitting anything else. I, like 99 percent of the population had vowed to eat a ... more

Advantages Advantages Added nutrients, i feel hungry less often

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Pricey, hard texture

I've heard lots of positive tings recently about Special K Sustain and decided to try it out to help me through my pregnancy, now how can a cereal designed for healthy eating and dieting help through a pregnancy, what possible use would it be to an otherwise slim woman, well you see baby 3, as we so fondly call him/her, seems to have the appetite of a sumo wrestler, no matter what I eat or in what form I always feel hungry, not just gentle hungry either, we're talking gut wrenching hungry that makes me feel either ill or faint, it's not the nicest way to spend your day so I find myself ... more

Advantages Advantages Does what it says on the advert, tasty

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive!

Okay, writing a review on Kellogg's Sustain has helped me with two of my new year resolutions. One - to try and eat more sensibly and nutritiously and two - to write a review on the product of the week! So, to be honest, if it wasn't for the fact that this cereal happened to be product of the week, I would never have purchased it, instead I would have chosen the original Special K. Mainly because Sustain has honey and what I mistakenly assumed were nut clusters, therefore I would assume it has more calories and fat. The original also boasts the 'two bowls, two meals, two weeks - drop a jeans ... more

Advantages Advantages Tasty . low fat , low in calories , high fibre , filling

Disadvantages Disadvantages None for me, could be a little cheaper ?

Kellogg's Special K cereal was available in only one variety a few years ago . This product was low in calories, had a somewhat bland taste and was a little pricey .Special K was usually marketed with dieters in mind although, anyone could eat it obviously . In common with many cereals, the Special K range, has had quite a few different varieties added to it . It now includes cereal bars and more tasty and substantial cereals. However they all are still low calorie . I recently have been buying Kellogg's Special K Sustain from my local Netto for £2 for a 375g box . This works a little more ... more

Advantages Advantages Low fat breakfast cereal with fibre

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not a great taste and hasrd to eat

My Mum always said Breakfast was the most important meal of the day. And quite rightly as it has been proved that we work better after food, but eating the right food is important. I used to enjoy Muesli for breakfast until I found the oats upset my stomach after losing part of my bowel when I developed some tumours. Now I eat Special K and have done for several years, so when I spied Kellogg's Special K Sustain on offer at a local supermarket I popped a box in the trolley to try it. Details on the Box. Kellogg's cereal packets are all quite similar, so it didn't stand out from all the other ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages tasteless and expensive

I've always enjoyed eating Kelloggs Special K as a breakfast cereal and have probably been very loyal to the product over the years. I have occasionally tried another cereal but have always returned to Special K as I enjoy the taste and the fact that it is good for you as well. With all of this in mind, I was really looking forward to trying the new Special K Sustain cereal particularly as it promises to fill you up more and curb your appetite between meals! Well this would be a godsend for anyone trying to stick to a diet. That is of course if it works! Read on..... The first thing to mention ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages the bullshit

Seems everyone is at it everyone except me that is. With all the fuss over the nations apparent health problems, what with obesity, heart conditions, and of course smoking Kellogg's have jumped on the band wagon and who have they got to hype up their sales none other than Ian Wright, football pundit ex player and all round good guy. He's on a mission to fit up the youngsters and anyone else who cares to participate. Well I'm not really up for all that but I will partake of one of the products which is in the Kellogg range and is supposed to be good for you,…….they are all good for you they all ... more

I have always been a big fan of breakfast - making sure I always eat in the morning for my daily dose of brain fuel. I enjoy cereals and one of my favourites have always been the Special K. I don't buy it all the time but I do like it every now and again because I find the flavour can become boring after a while - then I spotted it's new sister - Special K Sustain - and so it went into my basket! ★★★★ So, what does it taste like? ★★★★ Unsurprisingly, it tasted like Special K - the favourite cereal of mine that I have always grown up liking ... more

Well in my humble opinion...that would be a resounding "No"! Being a Weight Watcher's Gold Member, I am always on the look out for something to keep those dratted 'little hunger pang gremlins' (annoying little blighters!) at bay - thus was quite keen to try Kellogg's new breakfast brainchild 'Special K Sustain'. Following all the advertising hype, in addition to enticing taglines such as 'with protein and fibre to help keep you satisified 'til lunch', like hoards of healthy eating 'others' no doubt ,I duly trotted off to my nearest supermarket whilst the Special K logo'd products were on an ... more
