I'll start off by saying that this is likely to be a pretty boring review!! It's a kettle for goodness sake - and don't we just take them for granted!! The kettle is probably my least used kitchen appliance now. My family are predominantly coffee drinkers (a cup of tea has not passed my lips for 38 years!!) and since I purchased my indispensable Senseo Coffee Machine it is VERY rare that I make a cup of instant coffee. ... ...is twelve months now since Kenwood Kettle came to live with us, when I bought him from Comet I paid £19.99, the price does seem to have increased a little now - but shopping around it seems to vary from £18 - £27, so a little Googling is needed before going out to purchase one. I have never owned a Kenwood kettle before but I am very loyal to the Kenwood brand with mixers, blenders and liquidisers, so I did feel confident purchasing this appliance ...

...price was good for a Kenwood and especially a nice stainless steel kettle and it did not look cheap at all.

The kettle was easy to set up. In the hand book provided it is recommended that you boil the new kettle three times as the water may taste odd for the first few uses. So we boiled it 4 times, just to be on the safe side! The boiling was effortless and it only took around 40 seconds to boil when full. The capacity is a nice ... ...a kettle. That should give around 10 cups of tea brewing away! Or coffee of course.. All you had to do was plug the base in, fill the kettle wit water and plop it on.
The kettle is easy to use. Simply fill to the amount you need, pop it on the base and press the button on the bottom under the handle… A little while later a little blue light will flash and your water is ready! Ha-ha you must thing I’m so dull telling you how to use a kettle? Features?
