This Kenwood vacuum looks splendid, is relatively high powered and is bagless which of course means more suck. Apart from the fact that it can't stay on its wheels it only has one real design flaw. It doesn't really get on with dust. The filters block, the suction is lost and the finer particles of dust simply fly out of the back. I have persevered with this machine. Without doubt the worst vacuum cleaner I have come across. I only hope all bagless vacuum cleaners are not as bad as this one. I have found that the canister fllls up after only vacuuming the house once. Then there is the messy business of emptying the canister - dust and grot flying everywhere, all over the floor, up your nose etc, and then having to brush more grot out of the filters before putting it back. I now try and avoid hoovering at all costs and even when the canister is empty it does not suck up hair (in a family of 3 women this is a major problem). ...

I bought this hoover for £48.00 just under one year ago when my partner and I were moving into our first home together. After a couple of months the holder that keeps the vacuum pole / tube standing upright snapped which made it difficult to store. Then the power of the vacuum became less and less to the point where it wasn't picking up anything. And then to top it off the flat runner on the end of the pole (that runs along the carpet) snapped off also. I took the hoover back, just inside the one year warranty, and was given a replacement hoover. The holder where you stand the pole /tube has snapped again, one week after being given the brand new hoover. The suction is better now, but the wheels are irritating squeaky. This hoover does it's job but unfortunately I wouldn't say that it does it outstandingly. ...

A nice looking cleaner and fairly cheap to buy. However it doesn't have stability around corners and hasn't got great suction. The biggest problem is the quality of the flexible pipe. After less than a month's use both ends of the pipe have torn making it useless. ...

...useless. My 10yr old upright with a half worn brush and broken filter worked much better than this one, I'm very disappointed with Kenwood for releasing such a poor product. The only plus points are that it's light and is ok on hard floors without too much dust! ...

...Not only was the Kenwood unstable (it kept falling over instead of following along behind) but the filters blocked up within minutes of use. I followed the manufactures guidelines and frequently cleaned the filters but I was cleaning the filters two or more times for every room I cleaned!
