When i took it out the packaging i noticed it came with it's first free filtration cartridge which would last for 60 refils or 90 days which ever was the 1st. Drink 8 pints of water they tell you. I didn't want to drink 8 teaspoons of my tap water! Our water contains so much chlorine that it turns our shower cubicle pink. Needless to say I didn't want to drink the stuff. If we made a cup of tea our water used to "bleach" the tea bags and made it taste disgusting. ...finally decided to get the Kenwood Fridge Water Filter for £9.99. It has a 2.2 litre total capacity, 1.25 of that being the water already filtered, it is designed to fit in to the fridge door, and is supplied with one cartridge. The first thing you have to do before you use this is wash it all in warm soapy water. I also tend to do this every time I change the cartridge. ...of them I chose the Kenwood water filter at £8.99 from Argos. I have now had it for nearly two years and wouldn't be without it! I mainly use the water for my tea, the main improvements here are the taste of the tea, and the fact that you don't get those small hard lumps of scale in the bottom of your cup, and the fact that I never need to descale the kettle. I love it . I personally have never been a lover of drinking water alone. Water is very good for skin complexion. After advice from a friend i went and bought one of these and it is FANTASTIC i would not live without it and anyone who has tried it loves it. The tap water here in Yorkshire is not that nice or refreshing so this is a brilliant alternative for those who live in hard water areas. The downside for me is that it dosn't hold as much water ...
