    Advantages Advantages Cheap local calls

Disadvantages Disadvantages Limits your choice of ISP

KC as the company is known locally, has just about a monopoly on the phone service in Hull and the surrounding area. The good things about this is that they have a low rate for local calls at just 5.5p for a unlimited call. This is very handy if your family and friends are local but out of town calls still have to go though BT or other service providers. They also provide a ISP that I used that is quite reliable and at £25.99 per month for anytime connection could be consider a bit expensive but because of the monopoly on the phone lines in this area using another service providers such as AOL ... more

Advantages Advantages 5.5p for a local untimed call

Disadvantages Disadvantages only available in the Hull and surronding areas at the moment

Kingston Communications is a Hull based telecoms company operating within the Hull area but looking to expand. At the moment it is expanding slowly into East Yorkshire but could be nationwide soon. The most predominent feature Kingston communications was its white telephone boxes whilst the rest of the Uk had BT's red boxes. All other national calls are cheaper than BT. They also offer an interactive television package all by the use of an ... more

5 Stars Quick review of Kingston Communication by FinBarbarbarian 22/07/2009
KC is great. I moved from a BT area and my phone bills have gone down massively. The free local calls are a great help and the inclusive mobile minutes at weekends are a fantastic boon for talking to the kids. Really happy and one of the best things about Hull.

    Advantages Advantages Low price

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Poor web coverage

Kingston Communication's telephone service is excellent and I cannot fault it. Unfortunatly, the same cannot be said of their interactive television service.I waited three months to have it installed, and was promised, in writing, three free months "as a gesture of goodwill to compensate you for your patience". I was then billed full price for each of the subsequent three months. I dont think the customer care staff know what they are doing! Also, I have been unable to access sites that use Flash, as the browsser they provide is incapable, as well as being short on memory. The server goes down ... more
