I choose this RAM product because of its popularity and rating in many forums. Secondly It offers a lifetime warranty, I think that the company (Kingston) will not offer a lifetime warranty if they haven't tested their product. Lastly the product is affordable compared to other brands, and it's performing well in my PC (no problems). Just refer to your motherboard manuals regarding RAM compatibility.

for disadvantage i think it's really equal with a kind of memory i take value select,i very recommended you to have this stuff,because not only have good performance but Kingston DRAM 1 GB come with low price that's will make satisfied,it's all about my experience of Kingston memory ...
