Advantages: User friendly, plug and play so no need for drivers Disadvantages: cap can go AWOL if not careful
Kingston are well known for good quality devices and there ‘Data Traveller’ is no exception.
I have been using this, together with many other pen drive (aka flash drives) for quite some time now, basically because they are so easy to transport from place to place rather than carting CD/DVDs around, or even an external hard drive.
The good thing about pen drives is that you can carry what you need, no more, no less.

This lovely little white unit can hold thousands of images, hundreds of music files and many many videos files so you can transfer them from PC to PC, and as it is ‘plug and play’ you know it will work in any PC without the need for drivers.
Using it is just so simple that even my good old grannie has no trouble with it, she likes to keep all her photographs and family videos on hers, (she is ...

Advantages: Fast Disadvantages: Cant Think of any!!
...USB 2.0 speeds, it's plenty fast enough to do all the things I bought it for. It hasn't let me down & has handled every type of file I've stored on it - I've even installed programs from it. Kingston Technology has done it again, amazing storage device, highly recommended. ...

Review of Kingston DataTraveler I - USB flash drive - 8 GB
Advantages: 8GB space, robust, good value Disadvantages: not the quickest
This is a solid piece of kit. I've had mine for at least 2 years and it still works perfectly. It's small and light and the cap stays on when you put it on - which is more than can be said for some of the other brands. At the current price for 8GB, it's also very affordable. The transfer speed is sufficiently fast, but if you are transferring a lot of small files which add up to a few GB in one go, it can take quite a long time - e.g. 15 minutes. ... ...taken up by the usual stuff, so you won't get exactly 8GB, more like 7.7GB. Once you plug it in, it's very easy to use, either in XP / Vista or a MAC. It automatically loads up. The activity light is surprisingly useful as well, as you can tell when it is not safe to remove it - nevermind what Vista tells you - as long as the light remains off for a few seconds, it should be fine. Overall great value for money. ...

Advantages: Very fast transfer rate, strong, looks good, smells pretty Disadvantages: None
Finally - a USB flash drive worth raving about!
Being a photographer, I use flash drives a lot - usually to carry pretty big Photoshop files around. I saw this one on DVD.co.uk (also highly recommended) and thought I'd give it a go. I'm very glad I did!
I was instantly impressed with this one - as well as looking funky it's made very well (by a brand you can trust!). It feels like it withstand quite a punishment at the bottom of my camera case, ... ...great for my needs - I can easily move around large files from home to laptop, customer's houses and university.
The cap fits on the end like a pen's cap does - this is more handy than it sounds! Putting the cap on the end seriously reduces the chances of losing it!
The transfer rate is where this Datatraveler really shines though - blisteringly fast! So much quicker than my old USB key in fact that I've decided to use that for other things (playing ...
