I know that from reading this opinion you are probably thinking that this sounds too good to be true. I don't blame you, I thought the same. That was until I started working for them and saw for myself how powerful this cleaner really is. Any other vacuum is left looking ... ...little too high for most people though, but when you are told you will never have to buy another vacuum cleaner for the rest of your life, it makes you think. You are definitely getting a top piece of machinery, which comes with a lifetime guarantee. If anything breaks or stops working, they will replace or mend it, no questions asked. What other company offers this?

...what can I say about Kirby cleaners.......well they are a fantastic ‘hoover’ to coin a phrase. They clean your carpets, curtains, beds, windows, work surfaces, cars, patios, strip wall paper yes I kid you not! They do just about everything around the house except for making a cup of tea, the dinner and have a ciggy!
They are a bizarre looking ‘hoover’ looking like an antique but coming with the most amazing array of attachments ... ...the Kirby can do it!
I have never ‘owned’ one of these amazing things, but I have spoken to people who have, and I have also seen this machine in action.
I was ‘referred’ by a friend, that is how Kirby drum up their trade, you have to refer 5 people who you think would benefit from one of these machines. I was pretty miffed about this referral to be honest, but soon understood.

...am an owner of a Kirby and that I only bought one because my husband sold them for 2 weeks!
On the whole, it is a very good hoover (sorry, KIRBY), but when I think what else I could spend my £55 a month on I could cry. When the demonstration is done it's very effective, especially when they use the machine to clean your mattress. You end up thinking that you'll never sleep in your bed again until you've got the Kirby on it. In reality, despite having ... ...The first you'llprobably hear of Kirby is when a salesman turns up at your door offering to enter you into a prize draw for a car or a holiday etc. They'll ask you if you're employed etc. They fill in the form for you, leave you the stub and off they go. As soo as they get back to their group, basically if they don;t think you earn enough money to buy one of these things they'll throw your form in the bin, thus never entering you into the prize draw ...

...other reviews have said, the Kirby is an outstanding product. In the short time that I was employed by them, I did roughly 80 demonstrations and sold 3 machines. What I will do in this review is go through the demo as I was taught to present it, and will hopefully be able to shed some light on what in the salesman's script is true and what is a load of hogwash- a Kirby salesman will always be willing to tell you that the moon is made out of blue ... ...until they either by a Kirby or chuck the salesperson out of the house.
When you first arrive to do a Kirby demo, you set up your kit, while asking apparantly innocent questions. Here is a sample conversation that you will have when the Kirbyman first calls in.
Kirbyman - "How long have you lived here?"
You- "10 years."
Kirbyman- "That's great! I would imagine house prices were a lot lower back then!"

They are extremely well trained and without a doubt show you how much better the Kirby cleans compared with your own cleaner. I suppose it was almost out of fright when he showed me what he had picked up off the bed mattress that I ordered one. DO I use it - yes of course I do it cleans really well. It is extremely heavy and carrying it upstairs is OK for me now but in 10 years time - ... ...- no! Mine even came with a massager!! Yes I said a massager. I have the shampooer which I now wouldn't use as I have a steam cleaner which does a much better job. It is a purchase which whenever I use it reminds me of my stupidity! Granted it is an excellent carpet cleaner but it is noisy and heavy although the new gearing system makes it light to use. I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone. ...

After taking out a small mortgage I was sucked into buying their vacuum cleaner and from that day to this I rue letting in the salesman. I was conned. This is a warning to anyone out there who is given a scratchcard and finds they have won a free carpet shampoo. The demonstration is more like an interrogation as the gang of salespeople take over you house for several ... ...least your signature on the finance form. They will try to make you feel dirty by taking samples of dirt from your carpet, settee, mattress etc and then thye will shampoo a tiny area of your carpet as your prize. I used to be one of these salesmen, but left the job as I am too soft to pressurise people into parting with their money for such an overpriced item. I too had an awful kirby experience, trying to frighten me with all the science facts etc. I felt very intimidated especially when one of the sales guys followed me downstairs and tried to go through my phone book with me to get the names and numbers of others they could prey on. I expected a free carpet clean not a two hour demo and at the end my carpet looked no better. I was also gob smacked why they asked to use my phone when they had their own ... ...have my husband working from home that day so wasn't pressurised into buying one but can see how other people could be.
remember nothing is for free so if you get offered a free carpet clean don't accept it, it will be a kirby salesman preying on you!!! ...

I have had a kirby for 5 months and they seem great on the outset. One day my kirby decides to have asurge in power and pulls up an eighteen inch thread from a flat carpet and threadbares my carpet completly. Being a large company you think I would have been treated fairly but no. I send e mail to explain my problem and I am ignored, I send a second and i am told a representative will contact be shortly to look at theroblem , un-beknown by this kind ... ...who sell your kirby knock my door , puff his chest out and act intimidating as I have "missed a payment" and was going to " take my kirby away from me" Funny that already paid over 400 pounds and yet he can waltz in and take my property away without a question , so much for compnay integrity. Once the gentleman had realsied ther was in fact a bigger problem he took some pictures and muttered that some one would be in contact. ... No you guessed it ...

Kirby vacuum cleaner or as they call it "Kirby" Is sold by an International company. They are not only sold in USA but also in UK. It is not the average door to door. It is you who have to call the company and request a demonstration. This is the advantage of the system. The "domestic appliance" cleans floors, windows, mattresses, sofas and other numerous objects in your house. I would recommend it for individuals with large properties or hotel business. ... ...the time around £1500 and the weight of the machine (lets just say it is not for the weak). However, it is easily manoeuvred. So if you do not have stairs it could be a perfect product to achieve the 100% cleanliness. But for now I think I will stick to my "super horse power" Swan vacuum cleaner. ...

We were asked if we'd like a carpet cleaned free...too good to be true? Not if you've a hide like a rhino!
We got KIRBY! Great machine,if overweight overcomplicated and over here..sorry..
When you say you don't want one..you are insulted...blackmailed...yes BULLIED. Eventually my patience ran out, and I asked him to leave or i'd call the police! He than rang his "boss' referring loudly to us on the phone as 'happy as pigs in....'
If you have #2300 to throw away, try it..if not, Lock your doors! ...

Advantages: Extremely efficient and well made. Disadvantages: Heavy, complex and Fantastically Expensive.
My experience with Kirby cleaners is twofold:-
firstly, the machine - although efficient - is an outdated cleaner from goodness knows when. The last thing it is is user-friendly. I would guess only 30% of the population could carry the motor housing up a normal stairs comfortably on any sort of regular basis - far less if we bias to females (as is the case) and secondly the sales techniques and price. They recruit anyone (self-employed, no commitment ... ...friends and family. You can buy it for £995 during this period as opposed to £2k the rest of the time. Once this is over and they have a few (£)sales based on emotional blackmail (your son etc selling) the sales people - who have left jobs for this - leave to unemployment. Disgusting. ...
