    I bought this blender six years ago, and use it every day. As I make a lot of soups and smoothies, I wanted something sturdy and reliable, and easy to use and clean. This blender fits the bill perfectly. (Before I bought this one, I did actually try three different brands, but had to return each of them as they were either poorly made or difficult to clean). It blends with ease, and gives excellent results. I like the way you can add things through the top, as it's blending. As the jug is made of thick glass, it will even take hot liquids.     I have owned my kitchen aid for 6 months now and I can't imagine how I lived in this world without one. This is the only blender I have ever used that is built to withstand the tests of time. It is robust, sturdy but ever so stylish. There are 10 functions in all, including one which crushes ice - a feature many of us dream off but will in all probability never use. It is incredibly easy to clean - which most blenders, really, are not. It is also very easy to use and has a great jug capacity!
