Bug Zapping Tissues - Are they up to the (blow) job?

AdvantagesNice enough tissues

DisadvantagesMassively over-engineered for the needs of most people

"...a shockingly expensive box of Kleenex Anti-Viral tissues. ==Expensive Tissues== I'm no mug - I didn't actually think they'd fix all known viruses like AIDS or cold sores, but I was intrigued enough to give them a go. At £2.79 for a box I hadn't completely take leave of my senses - if there had been a cheaper box in the shop I wouldn't have bought these but they were the only ones in our local pharmacy so I guess everyone else got to the cheap ones ..." A New Breed of Tissue?

AdvantagesSoft

DisadvantagesExpensive, Misleading Anti-Viral claims, Fall apart with the slightest agitation

"...subject of this review, the Kleenex Anti-Viral tissues? ===Introducing (Drum Roll.....) Super Tissues!!=== Kleenex Anti-Viral Tissues aren't just *any* bog-standard snot rags (as I affectionately call them) oh no, these are super, special tissues if you believe what Kleenex tells you when you take a look at the box they are contained in. Apparently they have been designed to "KILL 99.9% of Cold and Flu Viruses in the Tissue" which, according to ..." Read review

Anti-Viral but do they do the job? Review with images

AdvantagesVery soft

DisadvantagesFall to pieces easily

"...alike in the process. Kleenex are usually a good make and I find the normal ones they make are fine. However, the other weekend my husband turned up with a twin pack of the Kleenex Anti-Viral variety. The price per single regular box (about 100) is around about the £2.60 mark which seems fairly pricey when they always end up in the bin! So, when my old box was empty it was time to give them a try. The Box is a bit more up market looking than the ..." Read review

We have a murderer in our midst...

AdvantagesSoft yet strong.

DisadvantagesOverpriced.

"...me a few packs of Kleenex Anti-viral. I have the small, pocket sizes tissues which I believe can be bought individually or in packs of three. You can also buy a large, standard sized box of the tissues. Kleenex Anti-viral are slightly more expensive than standard Kleenex. Boots are currently selling them for £2.25, compared to £1.99 for the standard boxes, although they do have a two for £3 offer on, which makes them quite reasonably priced. But ..." Read review

~Too Late For Anti Viral~

Advantagessoft, strong and do the job

Disadvantageshow can you tell if they are anti viral or not

"...However I find that these Kleenex anti viral tissues are not just revolutionary in their claim but they are the standard softness of Kleenex tissues and strong as well. For 99 pence these tissues are soft to use and strong to blow your nose into. A box has a good amount of tissues in it which will last for a good few days with a particularly bad cold. The design of the box is not overly bad compared to some of the gimmick tissues from Kleenex as ..." Read review

Disadvantagesnot a product we need

"== Kleenex Anti viral Tissues== On a recent supermarket trip we needed tissues and I noticed that Kleenex Anti viral Tissues on offer two packs for £1.99 so this seemed a great choice as everybody we know currently seems to have some cold or viral germs it seemed a great idea. The box itself is not particularly decorated in any floral pattern but does have silvery box which could fit in with a Christmas theme and generally will co - ordinate with ..." Read review

Kleenex Anti Virus

AdvantagesGood quality, anti viral

DisadvantagesNone

"Tissues are an essential item in our home and one of our favoured brands is Kleenex, particularly the anti viral tissues. We pay £2.30 for a box of 100 3-ply tissues. I have personally found that the cost of these particular tissues varies greatly depending upon where they have been sourced, however, they are widely available in most supermarket chains and pharmacies. These tissues are said to kill up to 99% of germs and bugs and also the flu virus ..." Read review

Kleenex Anti-Viral Tissues

AdvantagesJust like the normal ones are they very soft and comfortable

DisadvantagesWaste of spending the extra money.

"=== Kleenex Anti-Viral Tissues === I do have to say when you are standing in the shop it's always more interesting to get something new. I just normally get the normal Kleenex Tissues or even the own brand one of the supermarket but sometimes (when we have a bit more money to spend) it's fun to try something new that sounds really good but also is more expensive. I'm talking about the Kleenex Anti-Viral Tissues. Apparently these special kind of ..." Read review

Don't Bother

Advantagesnone at all

Disadvantagesseer eview

"If I was to say two words about these tissues it would be 'don't bother'. I think they have had a lot of hype and claim to kill off bacteria and germs and virusus because they are impregnated with special stuff like citric acid and sodium laurel sulpahate. To be hoenst, I don't like the thought of this stuff being used by my little lad when he needs to blow his (for ever) snotty nose. The box says they kill 99% of germs but I think it's just an ..." Blow me straight past these please!

AdvantagesIt's a tissue

DisadvantagesTear easily and irritate

"...when on supermarket shelves. Ordinary Kleenex Mansize tissues are normally in a striking black box, the Kleenex Balsam are in a green box, so these are similarly in a striking box(!) A blue and silver coloured box contains said tissues and the Kleenex logo appears across the middle of the pack in white, with an orange banner containing a white'anti-viral' message. To the left is the heavy claim that these new tissues kills 99.9% of cold and flu ..." Read review

Lovely tissues to keep the germs away

AdvantagesThey are very good quality and very strong and good fr the germs and bugs

DisadvantagesNone

"...that you cannot go past Kleenex for a good tissue, they are by far the best ones and they have been around for many years and I trust this brand because I think they are a fair price and they are always good quality and good value for money The ones I like when I have a bad cold or I am feeling a bit run down are the Anti viral ones which come in the big box. There are 100 of them and they generally cost me about £2.45 but I buy mine from the chemist ..." Read review

Kleenex Anti-Viral Tissues

Advantageskills 99% of germs

DisadvantagesIrritates your skin

"...and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. Now Kleenex state that both these ingredients are everyday household products. Well I checked around my house and found a lemon in my fridge which accounts for the citric acid but the Sodium Lauryl Sulfate?. Not a sign of it. So what is it exactly ? Well believe it or not, its a chemical used in the cleaning industry as an engine degreaser. Its also used on garage floors to get rid of all those nasty oil marks and ..." Read review

Kleenex Anti-Viral Tissues

AdvantagesKills germs and viruse, good for kids

DisadvantagesPrice, advised not to use twice

"...did you know about these Kleenex Anti-Viral Tissues. They are an extremely good idea, when you sneeze have a blocked nose or need to blow it using the same hanky or rough tissues make you sore and can make you nose and cold situation worse. Having hype at the moment about flu has increased most people’sknowledge of flu, and they are taking it upon themselves to do something regarding protection.
