Kleenex Balsam Tissues are one of the most accessible tissues on the market and you can get them in practically any supermarket. A box of them costs £2.20 from Tesco which is a pretty middle of the road price - and one that I am willing to pay. The Kleenex Balsam Tissues can also be bought in small handbag size packets, but to have at home I always buy a couple of boxes to have on the side. The tissues come in a cardboard box which is coloured blue, green and yellow. It's not an overly decorative box like some tissues, but the box is okay and not ugly or anything. In the centre there is a ... more

One thing that every person should carry on them or that every woman should have in their handbag, are these Kleenex Balsam Pocket tissues. These are an essential, as you never know when you might need a tissue, may it be spilling food over, a sneeze, you name it they are a must. This is why I always buy these as they are in my opinion the best quality brand and are also in nice packaging that you can spot them in your handbag. Kleenex are a reliable brand and Balsam tissues are much softer on my nose so I can't go wrong. PACKAGING The Kleenex Balsam pocket tissues firstly come in a pack of ... more

Why is always the case that once the sun finally makes an appearance that I always end up with a summer cold? It's been scorching hot where I live for the past 4 or 5 days and even though I have been making the most of the sun I have had to put up with a runny nose and tickly cough. The cough I can cope with as I simply down some cough medicine and keep my liquid intake high, however the runny nose is something else and has been absolutely streaming for the past day or two. Whilst I realise that writing a review about tissues isn't the most exciting product in the world to talk about I have ... more

Advantages Advantages Prevents soreness and irritation even after repeated use

Disadvantages Disadvantages More expensive than regular tissues

I have dry, sensitive skin, especially on my face, so if I get a cold it doesn't take very long before my nose becomes red and sore from repeated nose blowing. For that reason, whenever I have a cold, I try to use Kleenex Balsam tissues. Kleenex is a well-established premium brand and their Balsam range of tissues are premium quality disposable tissues which have a layer of calendula balm within them. This is designed to soothe skin whenever a tissue is used. The tissues just look and feel like any other premium tissue rather than baby wipes as you might expect. To the touch, I can't actually ... more

When you have a cold and a runny nose there is nothing worse than cheap, scratchy tissues. A big, red sore nose is the last thing you need when you feel ill. Recently when both me and my other half were feeling under the weather we purchased a big packet of these Kleenex balsam pocket tissues from pound land and now that I have tried them I will not go back to my old nose-hurting tissue ways. What Kleenex say “Dermatologically tested tissues that leave behind a micro-fine layer of protective balm on the skin. This unique balm containing calendula soothes your nose and helps prevent it from ... more

Advantages Advantages Soft and strong tissues, good quality, good value

Disadvantages Disadvantages None in my experience

Having recently suffered from quite a nasty cold, I was fed up with constantly going from the cold outside to a warm shop upon which my nose would run incessantly and I would embarrassingly try and blow it out on a crumpled up piece of toilet roll. Needing some tissues, I browsed my local Wilkinsons store at the weekend, eager to find a pocket sized packet that would fit inside my handbag. Although there were a variety of branded tissues I turned to Kleenex, both because I knew they would provide quality tissues but also to provide some comfort to my increasingly sore red nose. My Kleenex ... more

Although I always have wet wipes on me for my daughter, I always have to carry a packet of pocket sized tissues. You never know when they will be needed and I’d much rather wipe my daughters or my nose with a tissue than a wet wipe. Having pocket size tissues mean you don’t have to use much of that all important handbag space so these Kleenex Balsam pocket packs are perfect. The Kleenex Balsam pocket packs come in a pack of six smaller packs of tissues, these are all wrapped up by a plastic covering. Each individual pack of tissues is green and yellow and state the product name. A pack of six ... more

I recently came down with my first cold of the winter and seemed to just be a little bunged up until my nose suddenly turned into a tap with no off control! Luckily there is a boot chemist in the same building that I work in so I popped downstairs in the hope to find some tissues. Because it was only a very small Boots and more of a chemist than anything else the choice of tissues was limited but they did have the handy packs of the Kleenex balsam tissues. The tissues came in a small handy pack that is easy to pop into your pocket or bag and cost £0.49. I did think this was a little expensive ... more

Advantages Advantages Quality, softness, strngth, impregnated with calendula

Disadvantages Disadvantages Slightly more pricey than some others

I always like to have one of those little packs of tissues in my bag and since I had my daughter I have found that carrying a pack of tissues is now essential, not just for runny noses but for a whole host of reasons. The ones I like to use are the Kleenex Balsam tissues but these do work out more expensive than some other ones on the market. The reason I tend to buy the Kleenex Balsam ones are mainly because of the quality. They are large at 20cm square and though they cost me around £1.59 for six packs, each containing 9 tissues per pack, they do also contain calendula, which helps to soothe ... more

I'm not usually one to have tissues around the house, but after having both colds and flu this year I have realised just how handy they can be! Let's face it, there's only so many times you can blow your nose with loo roll (no matter how fancy or posh it is!) before your nose becomes so red and sore that you can't bear to touch it anymore. Not a good situation to be in when it's only the first day in and you can expect another 3 or so days with a runny nose! I tend to just go for value tissues, as I can't see any real difference between brands (other than the price!) but after a few days of a ... more
