I'm one of these people who believe in paying that little bit extra for hankies as I have suffered from hayfever for many years and hate the small, thin and easily torn tissues that barely survive one blow before disintegrating in your hands leaving that horrible mess that no one likes to get. I also hate when your nose gets so red in the middle of summer it looks ... ...they don't tear easily.
Kleenex are part of the Kimberly-Clark company who were founded in Wisconsin in 1872 so are a well established and trusted company. It wasn't until 1924 in the US though that the facial tissues were introduced (the Uk started to see them a year later) although after much research it was discovered people used them more for handkerchiefs than for removing makeup so the company changed their advertising strategy and sales went ...

...first sneeze!
The specific Kleenex tissues about which I am talking here are the standard family ones, which come in a box containing 88 sheets of three-ply tissues. Incidentally this equates to an area of 3.6 square metres. There’s something for the next trivia quiz!

The boxes are usually ... ...in both softness and strength. Kleenex tissues are very strong and very soft, especially useful when I have a cold.
I find that if I use the cheaper tissues when I have a cold I end up looking like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer! I know that this is very seasonal but it does nothing for my street cred!
However with Kleenex tissues I find that my nose is saved from all the soreness of my cold by the softness of the tissues.

They are Kleenex tissues.
They are ultra soft.
They come in packs of nine, and they cost about 30p.
What are they like? Well, these fine tissues that are make by Kimberly Clark are approximately 21cm square, and as I said they come in packs of nine. This intrigues me somewhat. Why nine? Is it because the packaging only limits it to use nine inside? Why not ten? That is a rounder number. Could it be for some superstitious reason? ... ...get one of those ugly red noses that make me look like I have been over doing it with the Famous Grouse.
I want all this….

...after receiving a box of Kleenex which were on offer at £1.88 for a twin pack I nearly had a heart attack, but I really do notice the difference.
My usual cheap tissues are 1 ply things that if you sneeze on well I won't go into detail but you can imagine what is left of the tissue. However, these lovely lovely Kleenex tissues are 3 ply and hold together after a sneeze or two and are really soft against your nose. Which wouldn't normally matter ... ...the world's best known products, Kleenex Facial Tissue, was introduced. The tissues were initially marketed as a cold cream remover but consumer tests showed more people were using them as disposable handkerchiefs. The company changed its advertising to emphasise the new usage and sales doubled in their first year.
In 1925, Kleenex Facial Tissues were launched in the UK and at the time they were imported from Canada and the USA.

...wipe my glasses I use Kleenex Facial Tissues, made by Kimberley-Clark.
The tissues themselves are white; 15cm squared and are very soft to the touch. Even when damp following use they remain remarkably strong and do not turn into a form of paper mache. Not only are they absorbent when I use them to blow my nose they equally remove dirt and dust from my PC screen and glasses lens when required making them multifunctional.

...these nasty purposes a handy Kleenex tissues will be happy to help you, and be sure that they will not leave you unsatisfied.
The beauty of these tissues is that they are soft to the touch and double-layered for that extra aagh-choo protection for even the strongest sneezers. Kleenex tissues are always durable yet soft on your nose in case of a cold. They are sold in regular tissue boxes but can also be wonderfully compact - they are available in ... ...wash your hand. Kleenex tissues are a little bit more expensive that regular tissues, but they are worth every penny. They are the only ones I use, because they fill my needs completely.
