Advantages: Simplicity, multi-functions, different sized photos, price Disadvantages: Price for developing
I received this camera for my birthday and I think it is very good, mainly due to its simplicity and its range of functions.
I took it with me to California and have had some excellent pictures developed as a result. The camera has the option of taking three sizes of photographs: normal, wider and panoramic - the panoramic option was superb when taking pictures of the giant redwood trees!
The picture quality is similar to that of other cameras ... ...colours and good clarity.
It is very easy to load films - just slot the film in and you're there.
The camera also has a dinky little pop-up flash, which aids red-eye reduction. Other functions include a self-timer, auto-focus, and an LCD panel which features a night-time mode.
The size of the camera is also a bonus. I've always been scared of taking my camera out in the evening in case I lost it, but it is an ideal size for popping in your bag. ...

Advantages: Automatic flash and self timer options Disadvantages: Films are a bit more expensive
I recently got a Kodak Advantix C400 and I am really pleased with it! When looking for cameras I was reluctant to go for the Advantix, because although the films are easier to use and more versatile, I was worried about the extra expense. However, Tesco (and probably other places) now do free films for every film developed, so if that's what you're worried about then look no further.
And even if you have to pay, they really are much more versatile. ... ...different conditions, and landscapes look so much better now I've got the options of a panoramic view. It's good for groups of people too.
Also, and this really surprised me, I was delighted to find that the C400 has an easy to use self timer option - so no more pictures of me or my partner on our own, looking lonely - instead we can have pictures of the both of us without having to ask someone (and risk a sneaky theft!)
It really has got brilliant ...

Advantages: easy load film Disadvantages: more exspensive film
Bless my partner, she recently purchased the Advantix C400af camera for me, for my birthday. I have always been scared about loading films, after once not getting it right, i still get upset at the thought of my 36 pictures of me, my friend and a group of topless girls on a beach in Tenerife, not coming out after not loading the film correctly.
Some might say the above is justice, fair point but pass me a tissue while i wipe my tears away. Anyway ... ...new type of film. No longer do you pull the film across the camera wedging it on feet, closing the camera up hoping the film won't move, winding the film on, and after all that still not knowing if its in the right place. Now you drop the special film in the slot close the door and it loads it all by itself. Clever!!
The camera has a range of options in which it will take Classic shots (102mm x152mm), HDTV (102mm x178mm) and Panoramic (102mm x 254mm). ...

Advantages: Stylish, good looking, simple to use Disadvantages: Pricey films and development
This is the third camera that I have owned but most definately the best. I have had 4 years with it now and it has always come up trumps with my holiday snaps and also with photo's needed for business purposes. I will never forget the fantastic holiday spent in Tenerife, the views were magnificent and the weather was glorious. I thought I had captured all my memories on film to treasure for ever. But no, I was greeted with the dreadful news that ... ...I had not one picture from an entire film of 40.
It was then that I decided that it would be money well spent to but one of these new APS cameras where the film is easy to load. I made a good choice, the film, although more expensive than regular film, was compact and easy to load. It had an indicator on the outside of the case to show whether the film had been exposed or developed yet, and when processed the pictures came with an index card so ...
