Advantages: Lovely clear photos. Disadvantages: There is no zoom
...This camera takes 3v lithium Kodak kcr2 or equivalent. I have not bought one for a while as I take it out of my camera when I'm not using it to maximise the life, but I do remember them being about eight pounds but I'm sure if you shopped around you would find them cheaper. It is time to change the battery when battery symbol appears on the LCD display just under the picture counter.

Advantages: very easy to use, great picture quality Disadvantages: films cost more than the standard types
...Anymore advertising cheese, and the Kodak Advantix is in danger of being made into a fondue. However, don’t let this fool you – it really is good, even if I haven’t seen any rogue gorillas get into my photos.
My first camera was one of those that are specifically designed for children. That is to say as bright and cheap as possible so a) it’s easier to find when the child inevitably loses it somewhere, and b) it doesn’t ... ...one.
I chose the Kodak Advantix on the basis that the picture quality looked superb and it had lots of good features as well as being good value.
There are three different types of picture that can be taken with that camera. This means that you can take wide panoramic shots as well as the standard sized ones. You can mix and match different sizes with the same film, so this means you can tailor make your own sets of pictures.
There is also a timer ...

Advantages: Takes different sizes of pictures Disadvantages: Film and develpment prices
...to use, if you use Kodak film then a 25 exp will cost aprox £4.50 where as I use Tesco film and I can buy a triple pack of 25 exp for only £6.88 or a 40exp film for £3.64 and I find they produce the same quality of photos as Kodak film. Developing prices, I use Bonus Print and I pay £3.25 for up to 27 exp or £4.25 for up to 40exp these are the best prices I have found to date. I know that digital cameras are more popular now but I still find this ...

Advantages: Easy to load film different picture sizes and good looking Disadvantages: Lots of problems
I am not a very big user of cameras as i have only had 2 in the last 5 years i just bought this one the other day as part of a special christmas deal and i got 2 free films and a case with batteries for £34.99 and i was surprised what a great deal.
When i got home i was using it for a trial and found out to lift the light you have to move the lens cover when i did this i did not feel to safe the way it just shot up and i tried to be more carefull ... ...went to the shop and expected advanced photo system quality pictures i just got the same old bad photos.
I then went home and used the rest of the other film and the photo's where the same bad so i thought this is not so good i then looked at it to see if there was any way i could change it but there was three different modes and i tried them all and all it does is change the size.
Then the worst happened i flicked the light up and it stopped flashing ...

I received this camera last year as a Christmas gift from my partner .I was shocked to receive a camera for Xmas but relieved it wasn’t a kettle or toaster (or some other kitchen item).lol
I put the batteries and film in and away I went snapping photos left, right and centre.
I love it I don’t know why I never got a camera before. (I think it was all them chopped heads, photos of fingers and red eyes on my parent’s pictures that put me off).
I’m ... ...to operate
*it turns on by a little switch at the front that also slides the lens cap out the way –therefore no more taking pics with the lens cap on .
*the lens is a 6.4/24mm EKTANAR LENS * It has an automatic flash so you don’t forget to put the flash on.-and it charges up the flash pretty quick so u dont have to wait to long to take the next picture
*it auto winds on so no danger of over lapping photos because you’ve wound it on to much or ...

Advantages: Easy to use, very fast loading film Disadvantages: Slightly higher costs with APS films
This was the last camera I bought before going digital, & I have to say it was the best compact camera I had ever used & the low price made it even better.
At the time I bought it, there was a special offer on which included a case, frame & picture CD with the camera, all for just £35.
The APS system is easy to get used to, there is no winding of the film which means no time consuming fiddling about. This also means that the films can be changed ... ...if the film has been inserted correctly.
You get the 3 options of photo size: normal (6*4), large (7*5) or panoramic. These could be alternated by the simple flick of switch. The viewfinder even changes to the different sizes so you can be sure you get the shot your aiming for.
I took this camera to Gran Canaria last year & I filled 4 films without having to change the batteries once. Also whilst on holiday, my fiancée & I went on a boat trip in ...

Everytime i turn on the T.V, i see this camera! I suppose that's good because it's got good press. The camera has a flash that pops up when you open the lens and also a self timer. It's an APS camera (advanced photo system) which means no more fiddly 35mm films to try and put it!!! Just open the compartment and pop it in!!! It also means you can choose 3 sizes of pictures. this is a handy little camera, ok it seems everybodies turning towards digital cameras now a days, but this can be a costly affair, i found this camera ideal to carry around with me it even fitted in my back pocket although it took a picture of my backside every time i took it out, the quality is good although there is odviously better but not in this price range. the day aps films came out the whole world of amatuer photography became easier and ... ...with aps its well worth a look although you can pay slightly more on film and developement than the old 35mm film.
There is a ten second timer which i found handy on several occasions.
i have managed to drop it several times in drunken states and its still working although it is in need of a new battery. ...

I have always like takeing photos so didnt mind paying for a good one, the one i had previous was in perfect working order, but when you wanted to use the zoom it took a bit more time than i wanted, as when traveling by coach or train by the time i got the zoom ready we were well passed the place i wanted to photo,so when Kodax came up with this new camera, with easy film load and fast zoom i went for it, but sorry to say not a good idea, firstly ... ...and more expensive to develope, then just passed the guarentee and the film winder would not wind on my film, after takeing to a camera shop to be told the only way to repair the winder was to break the camera therefore rendering it useless so in the bin it went, so that was an expensive experiment that i would not wish on anyone ...
