Advantages: Small and easy to use Disadvantages: Undistinctive design
I was given this camera as a gift for chirstmas. It was well recieved even though I had never thought about buying a digital camera for myself. The packaging was appealing and to the point. It gave the relevant information on the camera without overloading you with the hype that is just plain annoying. There are several modes of operation a brief description of each is given below:
Standard picture:
This is the default mode for the camera. Using ... ...the manual says are "web quality". This is the type of photo that is taken most often by me as the size of the file when transfered to the computer is good without any noticeable decrease in image quality
High quality picture:
The camera stores 64 pictures of this quality which is more than enough for what I have ever needed. The pictures when transferred to a pc are of standard photo size ( like when you develop traditional camera film ). Timed ...

Advantages: Heaps of memory, loads of features and a cute blue stand Disadvantages: Bundled software is a bit ugly, but TWAIN compatiblility means you're not restricted
Gone are the days when you'd pay £400 for a camera that'd store 32 pictures at a resolution that makes DOS games look like the latest 3D graphics...
Along comes the EZ200, from Kodak. I decided to buy my brother one of these for Christmas, and at £99.99 it was one hell of a bargain. OK, so the software that's bundled with it is a little cumbersome to say the least, but it's fully TWAIN compatible so most graphics programs should be able to capture ... ...my humble opinion, is that it stores more photos than you would ever need to. I've had nearly 500 on it in the lower resolutions, and a tasty 120 at a resolution of 640*480.
Of course, the huge capacity of this camera is by no means the only thing it's got going for it. It has a number of different modes including high res, low res, multi-shot (where it takes five pictures in quick succession, and with very little blurring as long as you're steady ...

Advantages: Cheap, very small and light, easy to use Disadvantages: No removable memory, limited resolution
First up, let me get one thing clear; if you're after a high-performance digital camera, you'll be sorely disappointed with this offering from Kodak. But what do you really expect for £100? What you get for your money is a brilliant little camera that's perfectly suited for taking snapshots for posting on web pages or emailing to people. The EZ200 is one of the growing breed of "cheap and cheerful" digital cameras, and design-wise it's far closer ... ...So if you're after a digital camera to replace your expensive "proper" camera and take decent pictures, this is definitely not for you.
Let's talk specs. The maximum resolution you can get is 640x480 pixels. Unless you like your pictures to be less than an inch square, this is nothing like enough to print out photo-quality pictures. However, it's just right for web purposes; 640x480 comes out at roughly half screen size for people using a high-resolution ...

Advantages: cheap, fast download Disadvantages: poor quality on all features
The EZ200 from Kodak is one of th many low-budget digital cameras which are appearing on the market at the moment. Weighing in at a delightful $130(approximately) there really is little to argue about pricewise but what exactly is it that you get for your money?... Well, the EZ200 allows you to take still photographs, record movies and has the ability to behave just like a webcam. Sounds good? Well movies are a maximum of 10 seconds long, which s ... ...cheap camera here. Picture quality is not exactly impressive either with a complete lack of a built in flash meaning that pictures can only be taken in well lit areas and then the results are not exactly perfect. Furthermore, if you are thinking of taking a picture of a moving object then forget it - this little critter only lets you take still photos with any real quality. Te top picture resolution here is a measly 640x480 which illustrates my point ...

Advantages: Light, small, easy to use Disadvantages: No flash, not good on dull days
This is a great little camera for beginners in the digital field, and being so small and light, even for ambitious children. It is very easy to use and it doesn't take long to get used to the controls and settings. When it is switched on, it is set on high quality, so it is ready to point and shoot.
The specifications are, as given by Kodak;
64 high quality or 128 e-mail quality pictures
up to six 10 second motion clips (no sound)
640 x 480 (VGA) ... ...timer (to let you get into the pic)
Macro lens
Three metre USB cable
Webcam
4 x AAA batteries are included
I have had my EZ200 for about six months now, and apart from taking normal pictures, I have found it to be very handy on one or two occasions, having it in the glovebox after witnessing an accident for instance. When I first got it, I took it almost everywhere with me, as it was so easy to use. Living in the Highlands, one scene can produce ...

Advantages: ok if you have a higer spec machine. Disadvantages: not so good if you dont have a fast pc (it wont work on it )
Kodak ez200 Nice little camera if you have the latest p.c.
I only run a Pentium 200, as it is all I need
I have had the machine for 4 years now without any problems,
Until I bought the Kodak ez200.
The camera MUST be connected to a p.c. with at least a 266 with MMX. otherwise; it will not function properly.
Do not get me wrong the people at Kodak and staples where I purchased the camera were brilliant, but the camera does not have a lot of technology ... ...As the person at Kodak pointed out the ez 200 tries to work like a web cam all the time, even when you are downloading snap shots.
Looks like ill have to spend a bit more on a better camera, most digital cameras on the market only require a Pentium 90 so I wont have to many problems finding one. ...

Advantages: Easy to use Disadvantages: Frequently gives dark pictures - no flash option
I'm a point and shoot person. I see something I think might make a good photo and click. This is my first digital camera and at first I was disappointed - no lcd screen to edit the pictures with and no way to delete one single image without removing the lot, but then again, no fiddling with a memory card either. It is also a webcam and has a self timer. I cannot say how efficient the webcam function is as I have never used it for that purpose.

Advantages: light weight, good quality Disadvantages: none
The Kodak EZ200 is a low priced camera from a company whose name means quality and trust in the photography business. I got the camera because it was in my price range, had as many or more options as others in the same range, and was made by a company I trusted. The camera is brilliant. It stores 64 quality shots or 128 'web quality' shots. I have to admit I don't use the web quality option...and the regular shots come out great on the net! In addition, ... ...enough together to give good results. There is also a video option of up to 10 seconds of silent video, which is great when watching sports or children. Finally, the camera is small and lightweight. It is easily concealed on your person, so if you take it on vacation no one needs to see it when you are not using it. I don't like the tourist stigma of carrying an obvious camera, and I don't need pickpockets following me around either. ...

Well I'll just get straigt to the point, after purchasing this camera from Amazon.co.uk , for £90, I wasn't expecting much but what I did get was incredibly poor.
It is very small, which i Suppose is a bonus but it feels very tacky and flimsy, almost as if it was made out of plastic! The Kodak EZ200 is an excellent purchase if you are looking for a reasonably priced budget digital camera.
After researching the cameras available within this section of the digital camera market, I decided to purchase the little Kodak as it seemed to be the best all-rounder.
Admittedly, it could do with a flash at times, but this is really a minor detail on a camera that represents good value for money.
Not only can you take pictures without ... ...camera.
The camera comes with a CD-ROM containing all the software you need, as well as a USB lead and camera cradle.
So if you are looking for a good introduction into the world of digital photography, you could do a lot worse than buy the Kodak EZ200. ...

this camera came free with my computer and i have found it is not the best digital camera on the market. Although it is small and looks smart, the ppicture quality is average, a normal film camera creates a better picture than this one. When taking a photo, the camera must not be held almost completely still to get a decent photo! There is no display, to see what the photo looks like.
