Advantages: Good picture quality, camera can be bought separately. Disadvantages: The 'dock' is expensive to run and isnt worth your cash
...or it could be the Kodak Colour Science that is proudly boasted about on the box. Whichever it is, I am impressed. For those who want a hint by the way, I only ever take pictures of the kids, and that is only when really pushed by relatives to show them how the youngest is growing.... and I do mean really pushed!
Now the camera itself is rather small, which isnt always a good thing. It fits neatly in the palm of my hand and comes with a little cord ... ...Naturally, the clever people at Kodak have decided to put the most used options to the front (less delving in that way), so you can delete your unwanted images with 2 clicks of a button. And they say they rush these things?
You also get a CD with the camera (I am assuming this comes with the standalone camera as well but worth checking), that allows you to edit your images once on the PC. I installed it and quickly found that it was relatively useless ...

Advantages: easy to use, excellent first digital camera Disadvantages: limited features, looking a bit dated
...of your hard earned dosh. The Kodak C310 is at the lower end of the Kodak range but that is what makes it an ideal first digital camera.
**** The company ****
Kodak is a northern American company and has been linked to photography for over a hundred years. They are a well known brand and have established a well trusted brand over the years. With the advent of the digital age Kodak have began to leave the traditional film market to concentrate on ... ...means of the thousands of Kodak photo kiosks they have situated in retail outlets throughout the UK.
**** The product ****
The C310 is an entry level camera which is similar in size to a traditional 35mm camera (great for people who have large hands and don't like the minute sized Japanese products that are available today.).It is powered by 2x AA batteries and you should find this product retailing for between 50- 70 pounds making this product ...

Advantages: Great camera, bargain price, easy to use inc uploads Disadvantages: May not be good for pros, needs a memory card
...that most of the yellow Kodak packaging is actually just for protection. The thing fits snugly into the palm of one hand. Good start I guess, although the chance of losing something so small is only a marginal risk (with £80 of stuff on your arm you tend to watch it closely). The first thing you do is put on the cord that you can hold it with (this just goes on the side so you can hold the thing over your wrist) and then turn it around a few times.

Advantages: Quality Photos, Easy to Use, Value Disadvantages: No Case, Supplied with Non Rechargeable batteries
...batteries, a strap already connected, Kodak Easyshare software, A cable to connect to USB and a manual.
Having popped the batteries into the camera it was very simple to use, set the dial to the camera logo and point and shoot. By default the camera is set to 4.0mp and auto setting so it's point and shoot out of the box.
The photos taken in all light levels were excellent and the flash seems quite powerful. The camera also seemed very light making ... ...for black & white and sepia which is pretty cool. You can also lower the quality settings and adjust the colour balance should you so choose. Although there is no optical zoom, at £40 I don't think there is any justification in complaining about this and the digital zoom is more than adequate for the needs of most people buying a camera in this price range.
Now a lot of reviews complain that it only takes about 15 photos at 4.0mp. While this is ...

Advantages: Cheap and incredibly simple to use Disadvantages: only 15 pictures at 4 MP
...Then I stumbled across this Kodak EasyShare C310 for a mere £57.60 (including delivery) with 4MP and a whopping 2in screen.
My new toy arrived yesterday and, helped by my three year old, I tore into the box. Included were the batteries. There was also an instruction manual in many different languages, the CD-ROM to set up the software on the PC (which actuall I was meant to look at first and go throught the short step-by-step tutorial on said PC but I looked at the camera first because it's more fun). My new shiny camera is very nice to look and and surprisingly light after the old film camera. The turn around dial on the ...

Advantages: Easy to use, produces excellent quality photos Disadvantages: Uses batteries quickly, doesn't come with a camera case
...don't like them!
The Kodak EasyShare is a camera that comes with software, so you can install it on your computer and store all your photos. First of all, you take photos, then transmit them to your computer. They will then be stored on your computer. It is VITAL that you remember to UPLOAD your photos to Kodak, because if your computer crashes you may lose your photos ( I learned this from bitter experience). Once you have uploaded your photos, ... ...The great thing about Kodak is that they do such a large range of accessories, so you can buy matching accessories such as camera bags, travel kits, memory cards etc. However, I was a bit miffed that it doesn't include a camera case.
The disadvantages are:
A camera case is not included.
You will have to buy a memory card too, as it won't hold many pictures or videos without one.
It uses batteries quickly. The batteries it uses are expensive. ...

Advantages: Easy point and shoot camera, basic Disadvantages: Slow shutter, slow operation, no audio video playback
I was given this camera as a birthday present a year or 2 ago now. At first, I couldnt beleive my luck - i was informed of the better model having optical zoom but thought there wasnt much of a point. A year or so on now, the top button has worn away - the symbols becoming difficult to see and also the movement increasingly hard.
Operation is slow and always has been. It takes a while to find the correct mode you want and even then, theres a 1.5/2 ... ...the pictures taken. For the shots I want, thats usually far to late and useless. Quality wise, its good for the money but I wouldn't start a portfolio. It gives you a few different size picture options but pixel quality wise, its much the same. I like using the black and white option, it seems to produce more proffesional photos.
Generally, its great to use because its so simple. Ill keep using my SLR 35mm camera for propper shots though. ...

Advantages: simple and easy to use, excelent intro into digi cameras. Disadvantages: not a huge array of options onboard
The camera is so simple to use. There is a knob on the top of the camera that has 4 options and one of them is off!! It really is a genuine plug n play camera. Hook up the USB cable from the device to the PC and the pictures transfer with ease. I decided to buy this camera as a present for my mum as I had heard it was easy to use, and it definitely is! Even my mum who is useless with new technology was using all the features and showing me what to do within a day!

However, this camera is not very battery economical. They don't last very long but my mum usually takes spare batteries out with her for when the batteries run out. I think special digital camera batteries are available to buy but i'm not sure how much these cost and how long they last for.

The kodak easyshare C310. A brilliant Camera.
