Advantages: so easy to use Disadvantages: you need to get relatively close to the subject
...mum presented me with a Kodak Ultra disposable camera as a gift several weeks ago !
Left with little option by to go out and try it , I was pleasantly surprised .
The model I had did not have a flash . That was the first thing I noticed . However at £2.99 I didn't mind too much . Obviously this is a limiting factor with this particular model .
I think it normally retails at £3.99 this model . Apparently this was on offer at a £1 cheaper in an ... ...so I was OK.
Kodak do have an "Ultra Super Flash " in their disposable camera range for those who want a flash . This retails a little bit more at £4.99 - £5.99 Kodak also have an "Aquasport " and " Ultra Sport" as well in the range - none of which I have tried to date .
The black coloured camera itself is very compact and easily fits in the palm of an average sized hand.
The film is built in to the camera and must not be tampered with by the ...

Advantages: Easy to use, cheap Disadvantages: Not excellent picture quality
Over the last few years Kodak has developed (no pun intended) its single use camera range improving every element from design to picture quality. The Kodak single use range now includes five models:
High Definition Daylight: Ideal for outdoor pictures, with extra sharpness.
Ultra Sport: Designed for outdoor activities, including water sports as it has a ten metre waterproof guarantee.
Ultra Compact Flash: High performance
Ultra 2 Formats: Produces ... ...27 pictures and is a Kodak 800 ISO. The camera has come a long way since its introduction and now looks stylish, with its grey surround – a far cry from the old cardboard version that was more embarrassing than the poses you were making! The camera is well built and hardwearing.
The camera has a built in flash which automatically goes off each time you take a photo and has a coverage of five metres. It also has a shutter speed of 1/125.

...from the ‘big’ names like Kodak and Agfa to the ‘own brand’ ones from Boots or Tescos. I tried the Kodak one even though they are all fairly similar.
These usually cost somewhere in the region of £7 to £8 but there are plenty of buy two get one free offers around so keep your eyes peeled.

It comes ready loaded with a film, usually having 27 ... ...to make before taking a picture, apart from switching on the flash if you need it, you just point and shoot. When the entire film has been used you just take the whole camera to the developers, you don’t have to rewind or unload the film.
The only mildly irritating thing if you’ve been used to a modern camera, is that the disposable does not have an automatic wind on facility so you have to remember to wind it on manually after each ...

...table(or guest). The Kodak camera use Kodak film which is good quality. Having said that a camera that cost a few pounds is never going to compete with a top of the range camera. This camera really requires good light and still subjects. I suspect that the lenses are not of the best quality, and maybe when enlarged the pictures will not look so great(not that I have tried to enlarge them). The camera is easy to operate, all you need to do is point ... ...in some red eye. The Kodak model requires that you pay for developing, some other manufacturers provide prepaid envelope so that all you need to do is to post off your camera when finished and wait for the camera to be returned to you. This makes the whole thing even less hassle. I think Argos do special wedding sets complete with development, although these don't use Kodak disposable cameras(they cost 50 for 9 Jazz cameras).
The cameras are great ...

...and Fun (also single use) Kodak cameras. I brought three of the Advantix range (variable) and paid £8.99 each for two plus the freebie and I have not looked back since. There are many makes on the market and at Christmas 2000, Boots yet again had a Three for Two offer on their own disposable cameras. If I remember rightly they were around £7.99 each. These cameras come in a range of funky colours, Red, Blue, Purple, Gold, Silver and probably others. ... ...hence the cheaper price. Now for some of the technical data. The film speed is usually 400, and often contains 27 pictures within each camera, but always check the packaging so not to be caught out. Secondly, most disposable cameras have built-in flashes. The cheaper end of the market cameras are the ones which tend not to have them. There is no need to worry about loading film or batteries. They come in the camera and all you have to do is point ...

It’s got to the stage now in our sad student lives, that when we go out to perhaps have a couple of pints, we need to make some sort of record of the evening, (and sometimes mornings events), as we tend to forget what we have been up to.

As pen and paper is not a good idea, tape recorder a bit pointless, and video recorder a bit expensive we tend to opt for the trusty disposable camera. It’s great you get 24+3 pictures of unbeatable quality, to remind you of a night out and all for around a fiver, plus developing ...

...so we opted for a Kodak which cost us £8.50 and in the box we got the main one with the flash etc and two daylight cameras with a voucher for free developing on the colour film so in all I think we got a good deal. The good thing is you just use the camera then take it to be developed no messing around with films etc and its good for a one off use, to be honest I wouldn't find myself buying many of them. The one we got had 27 exposures in it and ... ...(a cheaper version other than Kodak I may add) and at the end of the night if any were left on the tables they got them developed but it was great for the guests who didn't have a camera with them as it let them have some memories of the day too. This is not something I myself would use regular but as I mentioned in my review its great for people who don't have a camera and need one in a hurry. ...

...sceptical, I bought one a Kodak Single use camera with flash when I went on holiday. Most of my photos were taken in dark dingy clubs at 3am, so even using the flash, I still wasn't sure if they'd come out properly. This doubt aside, the camera was dead easy to use, wind on the wheel, hold down the flash button until the red light comes on, spot your target through the viewfinder and just press the button. Seemed too good to be true.
On collecting ... ...single shot camera but the Kodak is definitely the best. It's smaller than other kinds which is handy if you're going to be carrying more than one, and having dropped a few of them I can verify that they bounce pretty well!
A couple of small complaints though, the camera seems to take the picture as if the subject is standing further away, so when you're taking the photo get right up close and fill the whole area of the viewfinder. Another problem, ...

...film, which was a generic kodak film (I think the speed was around 400) and got them developed at boots, where you hand in the whole camera (not all developers can handle disposable cameras, but most can), and I got back some resonably good quality photos, with the focus being best at 2-3m, but acceptable upto about 25m.
I definatly prefer a decent compact, but a disposable is a viable alternative if the situation calls for it. ...

I opted for the Kodak HD single use camera. They're quite new but they're absolutely fabulous. The BIG reason is that they have an automatic flash! ...petrol garage and purchase a kodak single use camera.
The name of this product says it all. For as little as around £7 you can purchase a camera that once finished with you just get the film developed and then throw the rest away. This is excellent for those of you in an emergency camera needing moment or those who can't afford a posh top of the range camera, but it does have its downside.
Firstly the pictures that it produces are not of the quality ... ...Secondly they seem to come out very distant, even if you line the pictures up to the correct squares on the eye part. Advantages: Easy to use. Ideal for kids, or if it stands a chance of getting damaged, lost or stolen. Affordable. Can also buy specialized cameras such as water proof, which is great for the beach. Disadvantages: Can be expensive. If you think you may need more than 1 film, can be bulky. It looks cheap.
I always thought that disposable cameras were a waste of cash. That is until I was given one. Its pretty easy to use, and as long as you remeber to use the flash, the phots turn out great. Unless you intend to use the camera solely for day, do not buy the ones without a flash. It also does not take any photos unless you wind it up. I bought one of these cameras the other week as I was going to a family event and picked up my own camera to find the battery had gone dead and only when I went to change it that I realised it was a special camera battery I needed so off I went to Tesco and couldn't find an appropriate battery so I opted for a couple of single use cameras to tide me over. Each camera had 27 exposures so that was enough for what I needed. To activate the flash you just simply press the button on the front for a few seconds until the light comes on and ...
