Advantages: Build, picture quality, ease of use Disadvantages: Flash is a bit harsh, not much flexibility
...of the shop with a Konica Revio 410.
That was January 2003, and I paid £300 for it at the time. A few weeks after I'd bought it, I found out it had been getting pretty good reviews, so I seemed I hadn't wasted my money after all!
I'd always been sceptical of digital cameras, being an avowed 35mm user. The resolution wasn't good enough to make prints come out with decent quality, and I was very dubious about the picture quality.
However, having ... ...fantastic! The Konica is a very well built little camera, with an aluminium case. It's hefty enough and solid-looking enough to instil confidence that it won't snap in two like some more flimsy-looking digitals, and yet small enough to drop into your pocket as you walk out the door to go to a party.
The biggest advantage that digitals have over 35mm cameras just now is that you see the photo you've taken almost immediately. And you can delete the ...

Advantages: Small, looks good, easy to use, excellent quality pictures Disadvantages: Poor red eye control.
An cracking little camera. My husband paid £247 for this camera at QED with free delivery, but have seen them on the net recently for under £200. I bought the 400 version previous to this, but it has gone missing, and I now share this on. The 410 has a few improved features.
On a 256MB card, we get 144 pictures at the highest resolution, but even on a 64 MB card, you can get 40 shots on the finest resolution. The picture quality is brilliant, as ... ...problems with pictures outside, it's just when you get inside dark buildings. As with the previous model, the pictures can be grainy in darker settings. You do have the option to change the exposure and flash settings, and this does make a difference; it just takes a bit of practice to get it right.
Useful Features
• 4.0-megapixels (maximum 2,304 x 1,704-pixel resolution images.) Can be set to lower resolution to get more pictures on the memory ...

Advantages: light, small, stylish Disadvantages: new model out KD-420Z
The konica has stormed onto the market showing off its 4million pixels and 3 times optical zoom whilst maintaining a small shell!
4 million pixels? well each picture is broken down by little dots and stored digitally, these are called pixels, if there isnt enough pixels to fill the picture gaps form between the pixels causing a lack in detail(fuzzyness), so the benefit of 4 is you can have a larger picture!
3x optical zoom? well there is two types ... ...is docking stationed and the konica is just plug streight into the camera. how long do the batterys last? how longs a piece of string quite a while if they are used frequently over 300 pictures but not you could get a few weeks out of one!
either camera is a good choice! ...

...a digital camera.
The Konica KD-410Z is the new improved version of the KD-400z.
It will retails at anything between £320 and £350. I paid £335 after much haggling in Jessops, they didn't have to price match as no-one else had it in stock!
It has all the same features as it's younger brother will a couple of additions, a hard copy manual and longer video shooting (up to 30 secs I beleive).
One of the most impressive features is the dual memory ... ...or Memory Stick (MS). Actually putting the cards into the camera is straight forward.
The digital zoom is also a new one on me, being able to zoom in and out after taking the picture in the comfort of your own home is truly what digital is all about.
In looks it has been slightly altered but still maintains the same very stylish looks.
It is extremely easy to use and the picture quality is very impressive. The menu is so simple and easy to follow, ...
