Advantages: Small, fairly easy to use, cheap Disadvantages: Low megapixels, discontinued model
I have had this camera for about 3 years now, when I got it it was about £120 in Boots. It has been the best digital camera I have owned to date, the quality of pictures was very good for it's time.
Being a discontinued and at a mere 4 megapixels, nobody looking for a digital camera today would probably consider this (given that 5 - 7 megapixel cameras are pretty cheap now). However, if you are looking for a cheap camera that takes good pics at ... ...out for. - Physically, this camera is very small. It fits neatly into my pocket and it has withstood a fair amount of battering over the years. - Picture quality is fantastic, red comes out very well, even at ISO 400 the quality is reasonable. Macro mode is a bit dodgy at times - it doesn't seem to focus like it should to - however when it does, it does so well. - You can put in both an SD card and a memory stick! Useful having two cards as it is ...

Advantages: Small, sleek fits in your pocket Disadvantages: Outdoor sound can be distorted
I didn't know much about Minolta Camera's but seen this one in the camera store on the high street. And looking at buying a new product I thought I would give this attractive looking camera a try.
The first thing you notice about this tiny handheld camera is its stylish silver design with its slide action lens cover and the fantastic LCD screen to the back. The instruction manual is easy to understand along with the in build easy to use functions ... ...sound can sometimes be fuzzy depending on where you are outside, its bad during a windy day but when the weather is good, and calm outside the sound on the camera is great. It works okay inside but if you are going to add sound whether inside or outside, try not placing your mouth too close to the mic and it works a treat. The picture quality on this little camera is fantastic, you don't need to have the great art of taking great looking photos, ...

Advantages: small light excellent images Disadvantages: locks open
This camera has a lot of good points, marred by its reliability.
It is small and light and takes good photos for a camera in its price range. It is simple for a beginner to get to grips with and they can take good pictures out of the box. There are also many options to attract the more experienced photographer.
It has SD and Sony Memory card slots, so you can take an amazing number of pictures without changing cards.
The major disadvantage is ... ...is liable to jam in the open position. The only way to then close the camera is to hope that the battery saver kicks in. My camera was sent back to Jessops twice for repair in the guarantee period. We asked for a refund, because there is obviously a manufacturing fault, but this was not granted as it first failed more than 30 days after I bought it. The manufacturers deny all knowledge of this fault despite there being a large number of complaints ...

Advantages: Small enough to carry around with you Disadvantages: Hard to move the shutter over the lens!
This camera is a good all round package! It has got a decent picture quality for the number of megapixels and it fits great into my handbag! It takes amazing pictures, and the zoom is a must, especially if you have kids running around and trying to capture that special picture! It also is quite light compared to other cameras I have had to lug around. The price is also very appealing - around the £150 mark, so you get a lot of camera for little money!
... ...slide the front bit over the lens that zooms out to turn off the camera, and if you are in a rush it can be a bit fiddly! Also, the battery and memory card compartment can be a bit hard to open....
But like I said, a good all rounder!
EDIT: I'm no good with the technical bits myself, but my partner has just told me it has 3x optical zoom, and it's 4 megapixel (up to 4.2 depending on your shot range) As for the software, I'm sure it came with a ...
