...camera I bought was a Konica Minolta Dimage Z10, I got this one, because it had the look of an SLR camera, but was really light, and to me looked really nice. It also felt really comfortable to hold.

The camera comes in a nice sturdy box, inside is the camera, a strap for it, a manual, a CD, 4 AA batteries, the 16MB SD card, and a USB cable for connecting camera to PC.
*** Easy to use? ***
Oh yes! When I got the ... ...of minutes I had worked out using the menu system how to change the language. This is achieved by pressing the button marked "menu" and following the menus.
Just above the menu button are the left, right, up & down & enter keys.
All the controls are located on the right hand side, and are easily accessed. The on/off button is located just below the viewer, this button also allows you to select viewing pictures, taking pictures, or selecting video, ...

I'd been wanting a digital camera for ages. They'd come down to a price point that meant you can get a GOOD one for sensible money.
I'd rooted around the various camera review sites, and one thing kept coming back to me, that this camera was a cracker.
It was £150 at the time, and i had a budget of £200 so this allowed me to get 2 512MB SD cards at the same time.
A 512MB SD card will hold 250-300 images, and i'm not kidding when i tell you that ... ...i took, i filled up the SD card with one set of 4xAA batteries. This thing's great on batteries, something i was wary of. Nothing worse than the batteries running out JUST as the sunlight was filtering through the trees perfectly. It uses AA batteries too, so it's not expensive to carry a spare set of rechargeables around with you, or even pop into a petrol station or shop if you get really stuck. Advantages: dead easy for a beginner to digital Disadvantages: does not hold settings beyond one shot
this was my first digital camera and having looked around suppliers on the internet and also having handled it I decided it was good and cheap eneough for my first attempt.
I am very pleased so much that if i ever decide to up grade I will remain with this range. Aprevious reviewer complains about the lens cap, this common to lot's of cameras and is easily resolved with a small drill and abit of wire.
I recently used the camera at a sports meeting ... ...the camera for six months and whether it is 'point and shoot' or something more personal is avery good camera.Also while wittnessing a practice by mountain rescue together with a Royal Navy helicopter I was able to capture extremely distant shots (zoom is 8 x manual & 4 x digital coupled with 3 movie sequences I really enjoyed the experience of showing off to my friends later. ...

I got this camera off eBay secondhand-it was the best £30 I have spent.The features are better than on cameras costing much more.It has 10 optical zoom,the pictures come out clear and sharp and flash is good. I would have prefered the viewfinder screen to be a bit bigger,but it does the job.And with the lens sticking out like it does you have to look around for a decent size bag.I'm only 12 and I found this camera very easy to use. ...

This was the first digital camera I ever bought, and for a technophobe like me, it was easy to understand and get started with. It is extremely economical on batteries, has a lot of great functions and takes good quality pictures, although the pixelation is only 3.1, which falls below the requirements of most stock-photo sites that I contribute to. I even managed to produce a couple of award winners! Some digital cameras only have an LCD screen and ... ...I like that with the Minolta you can switch between LCD and viewfinder dependant on the lighting conditions. I like the camera's somewhat spaceage look and it is easy to grasp it firmly and take a steady shot. However, it is somewhat heavy and carrying it around on holiday eventually made my shoulder sore. It also has a basic video function, but it cannot record sound. The memory card can be read by any standard memory card reader. A great camera ...

I reviewed this camera when I first purchased it and would like to update this.
Having now used it often and explored it's features I think that for the monetery outlay it over-performs. The battery usage is exceptional with about 500 shots from 4 standard AA batteries( just what it says on the box). It performs well in all conditions, recently I was in Paris for a short break and came back with stunning pictures including night shots and short ...
