Advantages: Soft. Spreads easily. Versatile. Creamy Disadvantages: Taste is not that great
Kraft Philadelphia,(Philly), a soft-cream cheese, is marketed all over the world and the manufacturers claim that annual sales exceed US$1 billion. Across Europe more than 60,000 tonnes of this cheese is sold and the three big markets arereputedly Britain, Germany and Italy.
Enough about the superlatives! Kraft has been a well-known name in the UK for years and years and its Philadelphia Cheese has been strongly advertised since the early 1960’s. ... ...80’s and through the 90’s Kraft featured the '''"Two Secretaries..." TV advertising campaign.
This popular cheese was traditionally sold in a silver foil pack, however, today only the 225g pack is still packed in foil, the remainder of the range comes in a tub with foil lid.
Kraft “Philly”, as it is often called, is widely available: you will find most neighbourhood grocery shops stock it as well as the major supermarkets. ...

Advantages: Cheesey goodness Disadvantages: Has a habit of hiding when I am not looking
...oval with the word “ Kraft “ at the top of the oval. The tub comes with a clear removable plastic lid under which is peel-able foil cover which also has Philadelphia written on it. On one side of the tub it has a large “ V “ and states that this product is suitable for vegetarians, so good news for all you non-carnivores out there.
The ingredients for Philadelphia are ( Yup!! You guessed it ) cheese and a couple of E-Number stabilisers. I cannot ... ...a lump of Brie that has exploded in your fridge I think you will have the answer to this question. Unless of course the stabilisers are there to stop the cheese from quite literally slipping of it’s cracker and sitting in the corner dribbling and talking about how penguins are planning on world domination.
The cheese itself is thick and I mean thick as in thick not as in unintelligent. For a cream cheese it is actually quite possible after it has ...

Advantages: good even texture. Disadvantages: a little bland.
I have learned that you can live without Philadelphia soft cheese. I learned this depressing fact purely as a result of being pregnant. Pregnant women are not supposed to have soft cheese as its one of those things that might carry unhelpful bacteria.
Back before the advent of the bump, I was quiet enthusiastic about this cheesy product. I shall indulge in a little nostalgia.
Normally I have a bit of an aversion to pre-processed products, but I've ... ...I shall probably never own. So, shop bought it has to be. I've tried own brands, but they tend to have a freaky watery layer, to taste of nothing at all and to generally not please me. So here I am with a brand. Philly has a far better texture than any other similar soft cheese I have encountered - pull the foil back from the plastic pot, and you have a white, firm looking soft cheese. It spreads easily, does not tend to form lumps, and has no nasty ...

Advantages: It says it's cheese and it is cheese, so 100% CUSTOMER SATISFACTION Disadvantages: It's not very tasty cheese IN MY SUBJECTIVE OPINION
Kraft Philadelphia is a high fat cream cheese that has been around forever. If you've never tried it, you'll know of it from the old extremely annoying adverts with those two dippy girls, and the current extremely annoying crop of ads with Caroline Quentin dressed up as an angel and making lascicious faces as the enjoys the supposedly semi-orgasmic experience that is eating Philadelphia.
But back to the 'cheese':
Philadelphia is sold just about ... ...I will, however, try:
Kraft Philadephia claims to be a cheese. Extensive testing by myself (though without the aid of laboratory analysis) has proved it to be so.
So there.
As far as I am aware it has no medicinal properties to make this op more interesting.
I don't think it helped us win the war or has any other historical significance that would make this op more interesting.
I've never had a bad experience with it that would make this op ...

Advantages: Lovely when cool Disadvantages: Pretty bland
Okay, a couple of weeks have elapsed since my last paid op while I've been doing my best to keep Ciao's Films section on top of the world, so the time is right for me to earn a few more pennies for a change and so dave27 ventures once more into the world of food...
Actually, Philly is one of my favourite treats, even if I'm not quite as keen as that pair of girls who wet their knicks at the cool fresh taste of Philadelphia spread in the TV ads.
... ...frankly tastes of nothing much at all, though it's extremely tasty when it's icy cold on crackers or biscuits - my favourite is a thick spread of Philly on a digestive biscuit.
It comes in a plastic pack with silver foil on the top and a plastic lid which soon gets dispensed with when you've got kids sniffing round - the dave27-ettes love Philly so it's gone pretty much as soon as it's opened.
There is a lite, low calorie version, but that gets ...

Advantages: easy to spread taste ymmy Disadvantages: NA
Every Sunday evening after church, my aunts, uncles, cousins , brother, mom and dad would go over to my grandma’s house for a Sunday evening snack. Which would contain celery sticks, all kinds of crackers, different kinds of breads, and the spread of course was Philadelphia cream cheese.
When my husband and I started a family, every Sunday evening we would go over to my mother’s house for the Philadelphia cream cheese tradition. Now it’s my turn, ... ...have even added a dessert make with Philadelphia cream cheese, like a cheese cake. Also, dip for dipping or cheese spread for spreading. Advantages: Creamy smooth and moreish Disadvantages: hard to stop eating it
...I don't know how Kraft decided on the name Philadelphia but its a winner with me especially the light version. The flavour is quite bland but I think it is the texture i.e creaminess of the product that sells itself to me. You can buy other flavours and I have tried the Philly and Chives which I enjoyed. There are a good helping of chopped chives in the tub and the flavour of the chives is quite strong.
Suitable for vegetarians and able to keep ...

Advantages: great for eating on toast and good for bakeing Disadvantages: it doesn't spread well on just toasted bread
I enjoy this spreadable cheese. It has great flavor from toast to bagels to crackers. It is also great to mix with other ingredients and make a spread for parties. Plus it great for bakeing the best cream cheese to make cheesecakes with. I have been eating this since i was a kid and been hooked on it since. It makes great snacks for kids. The price is very good and the packageing is colorful wants to make you buy it and it stays fresh. I enjoy eating ...
