    Okay this review is for Kumala Pinotage Shiraz. I opened this particular bottle last night and thought I'd write the review. Now, to be fair I'm going to defend Kumala at this stage, as you read my review you'll understand why. I have tried other Kumala wines before and have thoroughly enjoyed them, hence the reason I bought this bottle when I saw it on offer. I opened the bottle to let it breathe, whilst I cleaned the kitchen. I was looking forward to tasting this wine after my cleaning spree. I poured myself a glass and inhaled deeply.     Just read review by hammd1974 re Kumala Pinotage Shiraz. I can't believe that we've been drinking the same wine! I've just finished a bottle date 2004 and it was the most wonderful wine I've had in a long time! So much so that I've come on-line to Google getting some more. I don't know whether the date makes a difference, as this is the first time I've had this particular brand, blend. Maybe someone else can tell me? I plan on buying a case and would be sorely disappointed if a newer wine was not as good, although one review does stress this wine should be drunk within one year of purchase ... more

    Hi guys and gals, If you're into Pinotage, like me and the missus. Then give this a go. Beautiful blackberry undertones, a hint of raspberry and the oakey taste make this a good blend of wine. The tanins are quite heavy and first timers may find this too much to handle, but it is a wine that's blended and wine drinkers that know their stuff, please sit down, have a nice meal....perhaps something spicy and you will know this is a good blended wine...not an expensive fine wine..cos the average person can't afford them.
