It is a small, light, robust and fully featured SLR digital camera designed to be useful for everyone, from the casual snap-shot taker to someone interested in artistic photography. Advantages: Great Functionality Disadvantages: Short Battery Life
I first bought the camera to take pictures for websites, and was plesantly surprised to find all the features it had.
The main factor i considered when buying it was the price. A lot of 2 Megapixel cameras were sufficient however, i felt the extra 3 Megapixels provided by the SR5 warrented the small price penalty.

I was bought this camera last year from a recommendation from a friend( who owns a camera shop).When choosing this camera it was a toss up between this and the tiny pentax s4. Having had this camera for some time, i am glad i chose the slightly larger model as it feels very comfortable and secure in the hand.
