Advantages Advantages amazing picture and sound, very user friendly.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none, sorry.

I have been so impressed with the quality and features of this television that there are too many things I have to tell you about it in one review! I bought this TV late last year and I have been blown away by the picture quality. First of all, this TV has a 42” flat screen which is backlit by LED. This means that the TV is very slim, even compared to the normal LCD and PLASMA Tvs‘. This TV also benefits from being HD ready and full 1080p. For those who don’t know what 1080p means then it is sometimes described as “full HD”. The 1080 refers to the 1,080 lines of vertical resolution and when ... more

    Advantages Advantages picture, slimline, value

Disadvantages Disadvantages glare, volume control, manual

Having kept hold of my old 32 inch Panasonic lump of a TV for about 10 years, when I moved house I thought it was a great time to upgrade my TV. After looking at the market the LG42 LE4500 was the old that stood out and I haven't looked back since. Firstly, being on a budget of £400 led me to the direction of the 42 inch LG 4500 LED TV ( a lot of letters and numbers!). This TV was only £399 which left me a spare pound to get some sweets on the way home. My original thought was that for such a cheap price, there must be something I’m missing but I could work out what. I went to my local store ... more

4 Stars One of the best Televisions I have owned Review with images 31/03/2011

Advantages Advantages The slim and sleek body and the good picture

    Disadvantages Disadvantages no exellent picture

On opening the box, the first thing you’ll notice is how beautifully slim the TV is making plasmas and LCDs look anachronistically clunky! 8 small bolts (cross-head screwdriver required) secure the TV to the stand unit. Then it’s just a matter of swapping over your leads – the generous provision of 4 HDMI sockets negated the need for the HDMI splitter we used up to now for SKY HD, DVD and XBOX, switch on and select the auto-tune option. 10 minutes later and you’re up and running! I then eagerly selected an HD channel (it was showing Gary Moore’s* superb set at the Strat Pack concert) and WOW ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, a great package for the money

Disadvantages Disadvantages The Durability could be better - cheap plastics

Just like its younger brother the LG 4LE4500 is another great product from LG. The price of this TV is much lower than competitors yet it has an equivelent specification to those TV's which are priced significantly more than this TV. The picture quality is good however it could be a bit brighter especially during summer months and when it is bright outside one finds it difficult to see the screen on a rare occasion but on a positive note the picture is sharp and the sound quality is incredibly good and the the plastics are good hence the price but the durability of the product is a bit of a ... more

    Advantages Advantages Excellent quality, good-looking

Disadvantages Disadvantages The remote control could be a bit better

In my opinion, this tv is the best I have had for years... I found what I wanted and I am really happy I have this tv now! I really liked the high quality of this television and now I connect my dvd player with this tv and game consoles and it shows a crystal clear image with no broken pixels or something like that. It is pretty easy to install it and the remote control is really good! I totally recommend this tv to others who want to enhance their video experience. It is a great value for money and has a range of features. If you buy this television I think you will not at all be disappointed ... more
