Advantages: Neat and good looking, easy to use Disadvantages: Camera could be better, ring tone isn't loud enough
I have had this phone since 11/03. I originally chose it because I wanted a flip phone, and this one was available free on the Orange contract deal.
On the whole it's been a good buy. The menu is easy to use and it's simple to find names, send txts etc. The display is nice and bright and easy to read and it feels comfortable when using it.
The phone still looks good after 9 months, although the mirror/screen has got scratched from being tossed ... ...comes with the phone is also useful, although I always have trouble keeping earpieces in my ear! Would have been even better if an 'in car' charger had also been provided.
On the down side, the camera is a waste of space, the pics are either very dark or very grainy. I've tried every permetation of setting and have not been able to take a decent photograph yet. However, the camera IS easy to use and the swivel screen is a great idea.
The only other ...

Advantages: Stylish, good graphics, easy to use. Disadvantages: Bit too big, poor camera quality, poor reception (on Orange anyway)
I got my LG7100 in December. It was free on contract with Orange, and I chose it because I liked the mirror on the front and the inside looked stylish, plus of course, it seemed to have all the facilities I required. It is now February, and I am on my third handset. The previous two had internal faults, and not because I had dropped them or been careless with them. The phone looks good; it is a little large as I said in the brief disadvantages, but ... ...a phone to be proud to be seen with. It offers WAP facilities, GPRS, predictive texting, a choice of colour backgrounds (additional can be easily obtained) polyphonic ringtones (once again these can easily be added to for a small cost), and also, a very easy to use camera.
However, the camera is only of a decent quality in daylight, as the flash is not strong enough to cope with anything darker. The revolving screen does make it a lot easier to ...

...get used to it. LG is apparently a sister to samsung so functions are all very similar. Once you have entere the menu it has easy to use, animated functions such as call register, profiles etc. The ringtones are polyphonic however, only a selection of 12 and all are easily missed as volume does not go that high. The settings are good, you can choose between a variety of colour schemes for internal and external screens and choose animated pictures ... ...the time, date and a picutre and some stars flashing away when the flip is closed which can be at times entertaining!
Camera: I would say is poor, you have to twist the swivel screen into an 90 degree angle to take pictures and although there is a flash, the quality is poor. I have never really used the camera as it requires to much preparation for those spontaneous pictures. There are however lots of options like some funny templates and continuous ...

Advantages: Looks posh, swivel screen, mirror Disadvantages: Freezes, many faults, camera aint great and the battery is poor
...about it why are Lg not selling this phone for a lot more? Its hardly surprising that this phone has so many faults there is a very tiny gap for all the information to pass from the screen to the key pad because of the rotating feature. A good feature is the Cd you get with the phone. It comes packed with games, picures and games which you can put onto your phone with the cable provided. those of you who have this phone i imagine would have the phone ... ...returned it twice now to Lg to repair and both times they have mended the current problem but for some reason when i get it back a new problem occurs. GOOD FEATURES. looks great, mirror which is also a screen, swivel screen, camera with flash and easy to use. BAD FEATURES. Freezes often, poor quality camera, Awful games and i have to clean ...

The LG 7100 comes with a data-cable and software; enabling you to download midi files to the phone which are fully playable as ring tones.
Although the LG 7100 has a front panel colour display, it cannot display photos etc that you have taken, i.e. when a person calls you. Overall the LG 7100 makes a good caller and texter but just not a good camera, however there are worse integral mobile phone cameras out their.

Advantages: compact, easy to use Disadvantages: software/screen freeze
I had one of these phones free on contract and I started experiencing problems within 24 hours. This was due to the software of the phone, the screen freezes and unfortunately it wouldn't rectify itself. This phone has the potential to be one of the best available if the problems can be rectified. Very user friendly and simple to use menus and the picture quality is quite ordinary but hey its a phone first. It's a little bulky by todays standard ... ...you apart from the masses; wether its rarity is due to its internal faults we'll never know. On the whole a big let down after the initial excitement at the phones potential. Maybe next time! I would love to indulge in its features but I only had the phone for less than a week and 90 % of that its features were frozen only allowing me to make voice calls anything else just seemed to confuse it further. But while it did work it was very simple to ...

Advantages: Easy to use and Nice to Look at Disadvantages: Slighty larger than competitor handsets
Well, Ive had this handset for 5 months and I have not had a problem with it at all. I find that the menu structures are easy to follow and it generally looks nice. The cool thing about the handset is that the screen twists and the camera is built into the side of the flip hinge so you dont have to worry about getting fingerprints all over the lenses. The outer screen doubles up as a mirror too, so good for us girlies.
Display is a nice size and ... ...handset is equipped with polyphonic ringtones and good ones at that. The horse SMS tone is excellent!!
I got this handset from Orange and recieved the data cable and a handsfree kit free with the phone!!
As I say I have not incurred any problems with the handset and would definatly recomend this as a good buy!! ...
